Florida man denies syringes found in rectum are his – Local10

A Florida man claimed ignorance when jail officials found syringes in his rectum during an early morning strip search. Wesley Scott, 40, was arrested Friday in Pinellas County on an outstanding warrant charging him with drug possession, reports The Smoking Gun.

When Scott was searched at the jail, officers found three syringes inside his rectum. However, Scott claimed he had found the syringes and they were not his, although he did not explain how they wound up in his buttocks. Scott was charged with introducing contraband into a correctional facility and held on $5,000 bond

TMZ said yesterday that R. Kelly may try to discredit the women accusing him of sexual abuse by posting sex tapes on a website set up by his team. He will expose all of his accusers as liars and reveal the true motivations behind their allegations at SurvivingLies.com. While a Facebook page dedicated to the cause was live, it was pulled after alleged text messages between Kelly and one of his young female accuser–in which she repeatedly called the singer “daddy”–were posted. A spokesperson for Facebook has since released a statement saying, “The page violated our Community Standards and has been removed. We do not tolerate bullying or sharing other’s private contact information and take action on content that violates our policies as soon as we’re aware.”

KEVIN SPACEY was in a Massachusetts court yesterday to be arraigned on sexual assault charges.  He pleaded NOT guilty to accusations that he groped an 18-year-old man in a Nantucket bar in 2016. If he’s convicted, he could face up to five years in prison. Spaceys lawyer secured the cell phone data of the accuser, which he said will harbor helpful social media messages and texts that will boost Spacey’s case. After the arraignment, Spacey couldn’t get away fast enough.  He hopped a plane to D.C., where he was pulled over for SPEEDING. According to a police spokesperson, he was given a verbal warning and, quote, “continued on his way without any further incident.” The next pre-trial hearing is set for March 4th. The judge ruled that Spacey does not have to appear in person, but needs to be available. Spacey was mobbed by reporters when he entered and left the court.  This is the first formal charge Spacey has faced, though 30+ men have come forward to share allegations of sexual misconduct.  If convicted on all charges, Spacey faces five years behind bars.

We played the acceptance speech of Rami Malek when he won his best actor thing at the Golden Globes as he thanked the band. Both he and the movie’s producer Graham King, who picked up the best film (drama) award didn’t mentioned Bryan Singer who was the big pink elephant NOT in the room. He is the guy who was fired  during production for unexplained absences on the set and replaced by Dexter Fletcher.  Singer posted a response, of sorts, to the treatment. He posted a picture of Malek and his co-star filming the “I Want to Break Free” scene, along with a simple caption: “What an honor. Thank you #HollywoodForeignPress.” He is being sued for sexual assault currently.

Ratings for the 2019 Golden Globe Awards fell this year about 5%, according to early estimates. The broadcast’s 19 million overall viewers and 5.0 rating among adults 18-49 represent the worst numbers since 2012. Speaking the “Golden Globes” , Former Vice President Dick Cheney’s daughter, Rep. Liz Cheney, slammed Christian Bale for likening her father to Satan when he accepted his Golden Globe for playing Dick in Vice the movie about her Dad Dick. Liz vented on Twitter: “Satan probably inspired him to do this, too. Christian Bale arrested for ‘assault on mother and sister,’” linking to a 2008 story detailing his arrest following a domestic incident. Church of Satan though, seemed delighted by the comparison. “To us, Satan is a symbol of pride, liberty and individualism, and it serves as an external metaphorical projection of our highest personal potential,” the church posted on its Twitter page. “As Mr. Bale’s own talent and skill won him the award, this is fitting. Hail Christian! Hail Satan!”

Now we go to the Golden Globe after-party, Pete Davidson was spotted putting the moves on KATE BECKINSALE . . . and she was totally into him. A source says, quote, “They were being very flirty together, they were sitting very close on the outside patio seating.  Kate had her hand on his knee, and she kept laughing at all his jokes.” They left around 11:30, but NOT together.

I know we all were talking yesterday about what Rob Schneider thought of the Kevin Hart and Louis CK situations: He went to Twitter in their defense: “Free Louis C.K.! Jokes are words, you f**king moron c**ts!” he tweeted. Schneider also praised Ellen DeGeneres for supporting Kevin Hart after he stepped down from his Oscars gig for homophobic tweets. “Comics are the ones who are supposed to say the horrible things we all think but don’t,” he wrote. He also called DeGeneres “a voice of reason in a world of idiots” and suggested that people should boycott the Oscars if Hart doesn’t end up hosting.

Actors who got a shot and didn’t do much else/just known for that role/You say their name and they largely are attached to that one project..

Alicia Sivlerstone As Cher in the 1995 film Clueless, Alicia Silverstone became an overnight sensation. She struggled to find another success on par with Clueless. She didn’t stop working after her most popular role, but her experience in Hollywood left her feeling somewhat disillusioned. Then, in 2017, she returned to the big screen in a big way, acting in films such as the award-winning The Killing of a Sacred Deer. She also stars in TV’s period comedy American Woman and started her own line of dietary supplements. Credits: Clueless, Batman & Robin, Blast from the Past, Excess Baggage

Ralph Macchio He continued to act since Karate Kid Part III in 1989, including roles in the 1992 film My Cousin Vinny and on the TV series Ugly Betty. None of his subsequent performances, however, have matched the popularity of Karate Kid. He understands how important his most famous performance is for many people – and even reprised the role in Cobra Kai. Credits: The Karate Kid, My Cousin Vinny, The Karate Kid, Part II, The Karate Kid, + more

Brandon Routh– was yanked from obscurity to play Superman in the 2006 film Superman Returns. He had only a few television and movies credits when he won the role of arguably the most popular superhero of all time. But while Superman Returns received praise from many critics, some diehard fans were disappointed with the film – including its director, Bryan Singer. Despite Routh’s movie-star good looks and considerable talent, he has yet to match the pace he established with Superman Returns, continuing to work on lower-profile roles and projects. He does wish he could do it again.  Credits: Superman Returns, One Life to Live, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World

Linda Blair– her performance in The Exorcist was great at age 13. She even received death threats as a result of the movie.Sadly, The Exorcist was Blair’s one hit, and none of her subsequent performances have come close to making the same impact, although she continued to work in films, on TV, and on Broadway. Blair said in 2016 she has not retired, but she devotes much of her time to activism and philanthropy – mainly animal welfare. Credits: The Exorcist, Exorcist II: The Heretic, Hell Night, Repossessed

Alex Winter– Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventurehas never matched but he’s still around and working. His career is largely focused on directing these days, and he has said that a third Bill & Ted movie is in the works. Credits: The Lost Boys, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, Freaked, Death Wish 3,

Danny Lloyd– (better known as Danny Torrance from The Shining) went from starring alongside Jack Nicholson to leaving Hollywood for good. Picked for the role because of his ability to concentrate, Lloyd didn’t necessarily have an interest in acting at the time he was cast – he was ultimately picked at random. Lloyd went on to star in a TV movie two years later, but that was the last time he’d participate in film or television.

“America’s Got Talent: The Champions” premiered last night.  The show features classic contestants from previous seasons, as well as other editions from around the world. And they include SUSAN BOYLE, who became a world famous singer after appearing on “Britain’s Got Talent” in 2009 . . . even though she only finished second. A dance group called Diversity I think beat her.  Susan made her return last night, singing “Wild Horses”, and she got a Golden Buzzer from MEL B, meaning she automatically moves on.  Susan Boyle net worth is about $33 million fyi.

The Spice Girls have reportedly turned down the chance for a lucrative US tour, supposedly because they don’t think they will get along for that long on the road. The group, minus Victoria Beckham, will reunite for some stadium shows in the UK and Ireland this summer, their first in more than 10 years.

But don’t get the limo and a babysitter just yet soccer moms of south county, because they don’t look like they are coming to the US. They have been offered a big ole US tour and have turned it down for 2 main reasons: family and they are afraid they wont get along if they do a big US tour. The more time they spend together the more the likelihood of a blow up I guess. As of now a few shows in July and August are being talked about and Mel B has said she’d be up for Cochella.

Check out a new trailer for “Captain Marvel” on the blog. If you can find what channel number MTV is…The series premiere of “Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club” at 7, and on ABC “The Conners” is on at 7

Back in September, a woman went viral when ESPN caught her dipping a chicken finger in soda at the U.S. Open, and eating it.   Her name is Alexa Greenfield, and now she’s trying to cash in on her 15 minutes by releasing a song about it.  It’s called “Chicken Soda” and borrows heavily from the “Chicken Dance” song.

POST MALONE might be going through something, because on Sunday he posted a message to his fans, asking for a little help. He Tweeted, quote, “If y’all are actually my fans and friends and love me and want me to be mentally stable, can y’all please let me live?  I’m trying my best here.  That’s all I can do.” He hasn’t posted anything since, so who knows what he’s dealing with.  Hopefully it’s nothing serious.

Korn singer Jonathan Davis has confirmed via a post on Instagram that he now in the studio recording vocals for the band’s 13th studio album. After thanking fans for their support during a difficult stretch of time in his life — during which his estranged wife Deven passed away — Deven Davis died last August at the age of 39 from an overdose. The former porn actress suffered with sobriety and substance abuse throughout her life. She and Jonathan Davis had two sons together, although he had just taken out a restraining order against her days before her death-Davis ended his update with the hashtag “#recordingvocals.”

Adam Levine just took a massive piece of property off the hands of recently divorced Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner … plunking down $32 MILLION for their former family home. It’s 3-building compound with a total of 16,000 square feet with pool, basketball court, gym, screening room and art studio. When Ben and Jen first split in 2015, Ben lived in a guest house on the property.

The LAPD arrested a man connected to a string of high-end burglaries that included celebs such as UsherJason Derulo and Adam Lambert. Police   arrested of Benjamin Ackerman in connection with the burglaries of at least 13 homes. Ackerman was taken into custody on $1 million bail. Cops found over 2,000 stolen items, including art, clothes, purses, jewelry, and wine. The items were recovered from Ackerman’s home and a storage unit and it is believed the stolen goods totaled millions of dollars. LAPD Capt. Cory Palka said at a press conference, “Ackerman targeted high-end celebrity homes that were for sale or were being shown during open house appointments.” Police believe Ackerman would pose as an interested buyer or a real estate broker looking to show the property.

THE WHO were one of the highlights of the original Woodstock in 1969 . . . so what would a 50th anniversary celebration be without them?  Well, unfortunately, we’re going to find out. There are some things being planned for this August in Upstate New York, but ROGER DALTREY isn’t interested.  He says, quote, “August in America is too hot for me to work anymore. “You can’t redo Woodstock because the stars of Woodstock were the audience. You can celebrate the date, but you can’t redo [the festival].  Nobody’s approached us about it, anyway, but I really wouldn’t be interested in something like that.” Daltrey says he and PETE TOWNSHEND are talking about doing some stuff with The Who this year.

Kid Rock is going at it and winning with Nashville’s Metro Council. He planned to decorate the outside of his new bar with a 20-foot neon sign shaped like a guitar — a guitar with a base shaped like a woman’s buttocks.

The bar, called Kid Rock’s Big Ass Honky Tonk Rock N’ Roll Steakhouse, is already open. But the sign had to be approved by the Council, which recently voted 27 to 3 to allow it to be built and installed.  Councilwoman Kathleen Murphy, who voted against the sign, said, “We’ve worked very hard as a city to become somewhere that is a tourist destination, an ‘It City,’ somewhere that is family friendly . . . This one I feel crosses the line between good taste, family-friendliness, and I think what we would like Nashville to portray to people who come to visit us.” Other council members admitted that they didn’t care for the sign, but voted to let it pass on the basis of Rock’s First Amendment rights.

BIRTHDAYS

Noah Cyrus is 19.  Miley’s sister

Kim Jong-Un is 35.

R. Kelly is 52.

Bob Eubanks is 81.  “Newlywed Game” superstar.

And today’s BURTON BIRTHDAY OF THE DAY…he was once a guest star on Star Trek…and he appeared multiple times on the Big Bang Theory.  This is the first time we celebrate his birthday without him…super genius Stephen Hawking would have been 77 years old today.

Brayden Schenn, Vladimir Tarasenko, and an empty netter by David Perron helped the Blues pick up a 3-0 win in Philly last night.  With the shutout out win, not only did it give goalie Jordan Binnington a win in his first NHL career start, he also got his first shutout.  The team is back at the Enterprise Center tonight as they take on the Dallas Stars…it’s Pat Maroon bobblehead night.  Puck drop is at 7PM.

Second-ranked Clemson steamrolled Number 1 Alabama 44-16 last night in the College Football Playoff national championship game to win their second title in three years and complete an undefeated season, becoming the first college football team to finish at 15-0 since the 1800s. Clemson’s freshman quarterback Trevor Lawrence passed for 347 yards and three touchdowns as he became the first freshman starting quarterback to lead his team to a national title since 1985. Alabama fell as it was trying to win its sixth championship in 10 years.

If you’re a Chicago Bears fan, you’re probably still upset about CODY PARKEY missing the potential game-winning field goal on Sunday. For everyone else, it’s still pretty amazing that he somehow hit both the goalpost AND the crossbar . . . especially since he’s hit the goalpost on five OTHER kicks this season alone, including FOUR times in a single game.  Well, maybe there IS an explanation. Apparently, Cody works on his accuracy by PRACTICING HITTING POLES.  In fact, in 2016 he posted a video of himself nailing a light pole.  And back in 2012, he posted a TRIBUTE to goal posts. For the record, even though Cody ‘double-doinked’ his big kick, it wasn’t his fault.  The NFL has confirmed that Philadelphia Eagles defensive lineman Treyvon Hester tipped the ball with his left hand . . . and they’ve officially changed it from a missed kick to a BLOCKED kick.

Speaking of Parkey…this is insane.  Eagles fans are sending PARKEY money on Venmo to THANK him for missing the potential game winning kick. You can’t see how much other people are sending . . . but one guy shared a screenshot of his brother sending $8 to cover a beer, and another person said they were sending two bucks . . . one for each goal post. It’s unclear whether that ‘Cody Parkey’ is the kicker or someone else with the same name.  And you should probably NOT do it yourself, because now there are a TON of accounts springing up under that name to try to capitalize on it. Meanwhile, Bears fans are also shelling out.  Multiple GoFundMe pages have been set up, aiming to buy Cody out of his contract.  Earlier this year, Parkey signed a four-year, $15 million deal, with 60% of it guaranteed at signing.

Nick Foles’ ribs weren’t the only thing to take a beating during the Philadelphia Eagles season finale against Washington. His bank account suffered too. Arguably the NFL’s most important backup quarterback — and continually the savior of Eagles’ seasons — Foles was due to pocket a $1 million bonus so long as Philadelphia made the playoffs with him taking 33 percent of the team’s snaps. The injury to his rib cage, and subsequent exit from the game, left him four plays shy of hitting that mark. According to a report from ESPN, that might not stop the Eagles from paying out Foles’ bonus. With starting quarterback Carson Wentz injured again towards the end of the season, Foles was very much expected to finish out the year as the offensive signal-caller for the Eagles. He started five games, passed for 1,413 yards with seven touchdowns on four interceptions and led Philadelphia back into the playoffs. By all accounts, he would’ve hit both accomplishments needed to trigger the bonus if not for being pulled late in Week 17’s win to keep him from further injury. That being said, it’s not uncommon for teams to find a way to compensate their players when extenuating circumstances cause them to miss out on a major payday.

Looks like we have our first NFL head coach signing…The Green Bay Packers will hire Matt LaFleur to be their next head coach. LaFleur spent last season as the Tennessee Titans‘ offensive coordinator and previously worked under Sean McVay for the Los Angeles Rams and Kyle Shanahan with the Atlanta Falcons.

Also – One year into retirement, Bruce Arians is reportedly set to return to coaching and take over as head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. An official announcement is expected to come soon. Arians spent the 2018 season in broadcasting. He stepped down as head coach of the Cardinals at the end of the 2017 season. He has a working relationship with the Buccaneers general manager, who was previously with the Cardinals, and Arians has worked with quarterback Jameis Winston since he was a youth football camp attendee. Arians, 66, is a two-time NFL coach of the year with a background coaching quarterbacks, including Peyton Manning, Ben Roethlisberger and Carson Palmer.

The Mizzou men’s basketball team will take on the #3 ranked Tennessee Volunteers tonight up in Columbia.  Tip off is scheduled for 6PM.
