As of yesterday, Cuba Gooding Jr. is facing at least one new charge. And the surprise came yesterday, the day his first sex abuse trial was set to begin. Gooding Jr. has pleaded not guilty in that case to squeezing a woman’s breast on June 9th at a bar in Manhattan. Not sure if the new charge involves a new victim. Assistant DA Jenna Long shared the news in Manhattan Criminal Court, as a judge was preparing to send his case to another courtroom for trial. Mr. Jr. was present, wearing a pinstripe suit, and he reportedly appeared stunned by the revelation. Long said: “The defendant has been indicted on the charges included in this docket as well as an additional incident previously uncharged.” She did not share details of the charge or charges, but said the case would be sent to Manhattan Supreme Court. The trial was delayed, and Gooding Jr. will be arraigned on new charges this Tuesday, when the new charges will be unsealed.
As you are taking your selfies and posting them today keep this scary ass story in mind. 21-year-old Ena Matsuoka, a member of a J-pop group (Tenshitsukinukeniyomi) was sexually assaulted at her Tokyo apartment building last month after a fan figured out where to find her by zooming in on a selfie the singer had posted. He zoomed in and saw a reflection of a train station or bus stop in her eyes. Police say he matched the image to one on Google Street View, traveled to the location, waited for her to appear, then followed her to her apartment building, where he molested her on Sept. 1. Arrested based on security camera images, the 26-year-old dude also admitted to studying the direction of light and even the placement of curtains in videos she posted from her home, in an attempt to locate it. This apparently is happening more and more especially in Japan. Experts say a high quality photo can help these dbags find you pretty quick.
Supposedly, TEKASHI 6IX9INE just signed a $10 million record deal from prison .The deal is with his former label, 10K Projects. Obviously, he’s not getting the money now. But once he’s released . . . whenever that is . . . he’ll get the cash in return for putting out two albums, one in English and one in Spanish. He’ll be sentenced in December. He was originally looking at 47 years . . . but that was before he started SINGING LIKE A BIRD. Now it’s possible that he gets off with as little as TIME SERVED.
A Guns N’ Roses superfan named Rick Dunsford has been banned by the group for life from attending their shows after he allegedly leaked some songs online. Dunsford has seen Guns N’ Roses 32 times, has their autographs tattooed on his body and even named his son Axl. He was waiting in line to see his favorite band in Wichita, Kansas earlier this week (October 7th) when he was approached by security and told to leave the property. Dunford claimed in an interview that the band had people looking for him at an earlier date as well. Dunsford said while he was waiting in line for the Wichita show, he also received an email from a Guns legal representative telling him he’s not welcome at the band’s performances — apparently because they blame him for a massive leak of unreleased Guns material. Dunsford explained that he and other fans purchased some 20 CDs’ worth of unreleased Guns music from a person who bought a storage locker that once belonged to the band’s label rep, Tom Zutaut. The latter had apparently abandoned the locker. The band’s camp reached out to Dunsford asking for the material back, an agreement was made and they refunded him his money, but the original owner continued to leak the material — which the group blamed on Dunford. He explained, “[The ban] is pretty much for the rest of my life, is what the head of security in that video was telling me. They made it clear that if I am spotted at all, I will be arrested on the spot . . . I was supposed to go see them this Sunday.”
Guns N’ Roses will play at the Exit 111 Festival in Manchester, Tennessee this Sunday (October 13th) . . . but Rick Dunford will not be there.
If you go to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, you can vote on who you’d like to see inducted. It’s an informal thing . . . it’s not the same as the fan vote that’s conducted after the nominees are announced. And it supposedly does NOT have any bearing on who gets nominated. But in case you’re curious, here’s how things are going this year. More than 80,000 votes have been cast so far, and the top choice is MOTLEY CRUE, with 3,152 votes. They’re followed by BLINK-182, with 2,217. (Hard to believe, but Blink’s been eligible since 2018.) IRON MAIDEN is next with 1,771 votes . . . then it’s the DAVE MATTHEWS BAND at 1,552. Cher is at #5, with 1,455 votes . . . then Styx with 1,445. They’re followed by Boston with 1,303 . . . and Weezer with 1,295. The actual 2020 nominees will be announced on Tuesday. (class of 2019 was The Cure, Def Leppard, Janet Jackson, Stevie Nicks, Radiohead, Roxy Music and The Zombies).
For the second time in four years, the green cardigan that KURT COBAIN wore for NIRVANA’s “MTV Unplugged” episode is going up for auction. It’s expected to sell for around $300,000, with a starting bid of $50K. The current owner, an anonymous businessman, kept it stored in acid-free tissue in a safe. This person bought it at auction in 2015 for $137,500. If you have a ton of money to blow on something like this, you might be wondering what physical condition it’s in. Well, I don’t know if this will gross you out or excite you, but it’s NEVER BEEN WASHED! The auction house says, quote, “It’s very important that we don’t wash it. The stains are still there. There’s even cigarettes burns that you can see on the sweater. He didn’t elaborate on the stains, which is probably for the best.
Courtney Love’s Hole was one of the most culturally significant alternative rock bands of the ’90s, and their output has remained mostly contained within that decade. Their first three albums were released in the ’90s, although they reunited for a fourth album, Nobody’s Daughter, in 2010. While that reunion only lasted a couple years, it looks like another comeback could be on the horizon: Love has shared a new photo of a rehearsal with the band. The picture shows Love performing with drummer Patty Schemel, who was in Hole from 1992 to 1998, and bassist and backup vocalist Melissa Auf der Maur, who was with the band from 1994 to 1999. Between 1992 and 1999, Hole released their most successful albums, 1994’s Live Through This and 1998’s Celebrity Skin.Love captioned the photo, “Whose rusty af? Ladies !!! #hole #rehearsal # tonight #hollywood
What show is this from where to characters are talking about Mom being an addict?(AUDIO) A few months ago, “Sesame Street” introduced a new Muppet who’s in foster care. Now they’ve revealed that the reason she’s in foster care is that her mom is an addict. Here is Karli and her good friend Saliha, whose parents are also addicts, talking about it. “Sesame Street” says that they’re trying to help raise awareness and offer resources to help
It seems like it’s a law that every celebrity gets a crack at a daytime talk show, and DREW BARRYMORE is next. Drew shot a pilot for a potential show back in August, and now it’s official. She’s making the show with CBS, but it’ll be syndicated, and it’s coming NEXT fall. She says, quote, “It is beyond my wildest dreams to have this opportunity for a daily talk show. I’m truly thrilled and honored to be creating this show with CBS.” NICK CANNON is also launching a daytime talk show next fall, and “The Kelly Clarkson Show” debuted this year.
CBS is developing a show about an Afghanistan war veteran, and it’s a COMEDY. It’s called “The United States of Al”, and it’s about the friendship between a Marine combat veteran and his unit’s Afghan interpreter. The Marine is struggling to readjust to civilian life in Ohio . . . and the interpreter has just come to the U.S. to start a new life. There’s no word on casting yet. If it matters, it’s from the creator of “The Big Bang Theory” and “Two and a Half Men”.
WILL SMITH is apparently working on a “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” spinoff series . . . but there aren’t any details yet.
A “Price Is Right” fan broke a record yesterday by attending the show for the 180th time. He got chosen to “Come on down!”, made it up on stage, and won a car! (AUDIO)
One of television’s longest running shows appeared for the first time on this date back in 1975, (AUDIO) but it was called…”NBC’s Saturday Night“. At the time, Howard Cosell already had a show called “Saturday Night Live”, so the “Not Ready for Prime Time Players” could only say “Live from New York, it’s Saturday night!” Now in their 48th season, “SNL” still uses the line to open every show. Here’s Chevy Chase kicking off the show in ’75.
Warner Bros. has tapped Black List scribe Nick Yarborough to write a prequel to the 2001 crime drama Training Day that starred Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke, Collider has exclusively learned. The prequel will be set about 10 years earlier in late April of 1992 — two days before the Rodney King verdict was delivered. If Denzel was 46 when Training Day hit theaters, and the prequel is set roughly a decade earlier, that means they need an actor around 37 years old. Denzel’s son, John David Washington, is currently 35 years old and he sounds just like his father, plus he’s currently filming the lead in Christopher Nolan‘s Tenet… which is also being made by Warner Bros.
Corey Feldman and Goonies co-star Sean Astin were together at NostalgiaCon in September. So of course that means there is a Goonies reunion coming right? (AUDIO) Feldman added that he also has a full slate of projects brewing, including finishing his documentary.

The National League Championship is between the Washington Nationals and the St. Louis Cardinals starts tonight at Busch. The Cardinals will send Miles Mikolas to the mound as Washington counters with Anibal Sanchez. First pitch is scheduled for 7PM. You can watch the game on TBS.
The Houston Astros beat the Tampa Bay Rays 6-1 at home to win their American League Division Series 3 games to 2. The Astros will play the New York Yankees in the AL Championship Series, with Game 1 on Saturday in Houston.
All of St. Louis is fired up about the Cardinals moving on to the NLCS after defeating the Atlanta Braves, but judging by his postgame speech, no one was more excited than Mike Shildt. After the speech spread online, Shildt issued an apology yesterday. He said: “I apologize if my language offended anyone. It’s not something I like to represent, its not to be excused. It’s supposed to be a private moment. But I will say that I’m flawed, I have my moments.” Shildt went on to say he won’t apologize for the passion he has for his team, and he called Arozarena a great kid and he will give him grace moving forward.
Crazy game in Ottawa last night. The Blues and Senators scored a combined total of 10 goals, and the Blues were on the plus side of that getting the 6-4 win. The Senators were up 2-0 after the first, but then David Perron and Oskar Sundqvist tied things up. Before the 2nd ended the Senators took the lead again. Jay Boumeester tied things up in the third and then Brayden Schenn put the Blues up. The Senators tied things up shortly after, but David Perron netted his 2nd of the night and that was the game winner. Ryan OReilly added an empty netter to finish things up. With the win, Jake Allen picked up his 137th win, which ties him with Cujo for 2nd most wins in Blues history. The Blues are in Montreal tomorrow to take on the Canadiens. Puck drop is at 6PM.
The New England Patriots beat the New York Giants 35-14 last night at home to remain undefeated with a 6-0 record. Tom Brady was 31 of 41 for 334 yards as he moved ahead of Peyton Manning into second place on the NFL’s all-time passing yards list behind Drew Brees. The Patriots also blocked a punt for a touchdown and forced four turnovers, including a fumble return for a score. Let’s chat other picks for this weekends games….
The Philadelphia Eagles have an October gauntlet no NFL team wants, playing three consecutive games on the road that completes the first half of their schedule. Philadelphia is the only NFL team to play three consecutive road games this season, thanks to the NFL banking on the Phillies reaching the playoffs. Howard Katz (the league’s senior vice president of broadcasting and operations) said the power of Bryce Harper caused the NFL to rethink their priorities when it comes to the schedule. That really worked in the league’s favor, as the Phillies finished a disappointing 81-81 and fourth place in the NL East. The Phillies missed the playoffs for the eighth consecutive year while the Eagles play three teams on the road that have a combined record of 10-5. The Eagles aren’t the only team over the past several years to have this scheduling disadvantage. The Ravens, Rams and Saints played three consecutive road games last year. The Oakland Raiders technically don’t play three consecutive road games but played last week in London, have a bye in Week 6, then play back-to-back road games at Green Bay and at Houston. They also played Week 3 in Minneapolis and Week 4 at Indianapolis, giving them 48 days between games played in Oakland (the Raiders were the “home” team in London).
Saturday’s game between the Lakers and Nets is still scheduled to be played to conclude the 2019 China Games. However, the teams involved won’t be talking about it. The Nets’ victory over the Lakers in Shanghai on Thursday was able to happen only with a stipulation by the Chinese government mandating that no media availability of any kind be held at the game and that NBA commissioner Adam Silver cancel his pregame news conference. The league is adopting the same temporary policy for Saturday’s game
The Washington Mystics beat the Connecticut Sun 89-78 last night in Game 5 of the WNBA Finals to win their first championship, 3 games to 2. Emma Meesseman scored 22 points for the Mystics and was named the Finals MVP. League MVP Elena Delle Donne, who was playing with three herniated discs in her back, added 21 points for Washington.
The 1000bulbs.com 500 happens this weekend at Talladega. The race happens on Sunday. Start time is scheduled for 1:00PM.
Here’s a fun little trivia nugget to put in your pocket. For some reason this news came out yesterday. I file it under, “News you didn’t need to know but now will never forget….” In the NBA….out of all 30 NBA teams. From top to bottom. If you look at the city or the “nickname” for the team….not one of them…has the letter F in it.
