Wherever mass tragedy strikes someone selling snake oil cures will be there ready to take your money.   On that note we haven’t talked about conservative televangelist Jim Bakker lately. He has an online show and the Feb 12th show titled  “A Close Look At What’s Not Being Said About The Coronavirus, Part 1.” Has our solution for the outbreak. It’s called Silver Solution. (AUDIO) That guest is Sherrill Sellman calls herself a naturopath. Earlier this month, the “Silver Health Institute,” run by someone named Gordon Pedersen, recommended silver be used to kill the coronavirus. Pedersen himself, who claims to have won a bronze medal at the 2003 Utah Winter Games (the Winter Olympics in Utah were held in 2002), argued that since silver “will destroy all forms of viruses, it will help protect people from the Coronavirus.” To be clear here, there’s absolutely no evidence this will keep you safe from the new coronavirus, nor “boost” your immune system. However it WILL build up in the body and cause your skin to turn permanently grayish-blue.

JAMES BROWN died on Christmas Day in 2006.  He had a heart attack two days after being hospitalized for pneumonia.  That’s not necessarily suspicious for a 73-year-old man.  But now there are new questions surrounding his death. A woman named Jacque Hollander met with prosecutors in Atlanta on Wednesday, and presented them with supposed evidence that someone else was responsible for his death.  And they’re taking it seriously. The D.A. says, quote, “We’re going to take a look at all of it.  And then at a point down the road, we’ll make a determination on whether or not an actual investigation into his death is even necessary.” What they’re doing right now is pretty routine, and it doesn’t necessarily mean they BELIEVE any of the evidence.  Just that they’re going to review it. But there ARE people who’ve wanted a closer investigation into James Brown’s death for years.

Jim Carrey stars as the villain in this weekend’s new movie, “Sonic the Hedgehog”, which was originally a SEGA video game.  While he was being interviewed, Jim sang the quick SEGA theme sound, and hinted there might be a sequel

They’ve released Billie Eilish’s theme to the next James Bond movie, “No Time to Die.”  It hits theaters in April. The film comes out April 10th with a $250 million budget.

Tickets for the 40-date Rage Against the Machine “Public Service Announcement” have officially gone on sale you can buy tickets for most shows on StubHub and for festival dates on Ticketmaster — at hugely jacked up prices. A statement was posted on Rage’s official web site which said in part, “We are doing everything we can to protect 90% of the RATM tickets from scalpers and then WE are holding in reserve 10% of the seating (random seats throughout each venue) to sell at a higher ticket price (but low enough to undercut the scalpers) We will donate 100% OF THE MONEY over the base ticket price to charities and activist organizations IN EACH CITY.” The statement continued, “We are confident this will help many more fans get tickets at face value and put a big dent in the aftermarket gouging. WE HATE SCALPING AS MUCH AS YOU DO and will continue to try to find ways to combat it.” The band added that it is donating all profits from its first three shows to immigrants’ rights organizations and will be supporting multiple charities and activist organizations throughout the tour.

A Twenty One Pilots fan and playwright named Matt Wagner has been forced to cancel his production of a musical inspired by the duo’s massive 2015 album Blurryface. Wagner announced the project, titled Blurryface: The Musical, on January 31st. The Instagram account for the musical gained 2,500 followers in two days, and even Twenty One Pilots drummer Josh Dun reportedly liked the trailer video. But less than two weeks later, Wagner received a cease-and-desist letter. He wrote in a later-deleted post on Instagram, “Although I am disappointed, I knew this was a possibility from the very beginning and I am okay. More than anything, I am just so so proud of the community that we were able to build in only a week and a half.” Wagner added, ‘Through it all, I still love Twenty One Pilots. I will always love Twenty One Pilots. Nothing will ever change that.” The musical’s Instagram account along with the trailer have been taken down but the trailer, which stars Wagner in the lead role, has resurfaced on Reddit.

Orlando Bloom posted a picture of a new forearm tattoo containing a thin black line and a series of numbers. He wrote, “New #tattoo can you guess who?” If you can read morse code you’d see that either his sons name is Frynn or the code is wrong. His kids name is Flynn. He explained that the tattoo was meant to say Flynn in Morse code, along with his nine-year-old’s date and time of birth. However, it seems that Flynn is misspelled; right now, the name on the actor’s arm is “Frynn.” However, Bloom’s tattoo artists knows the mistake is there. “Yes, a dot is missing, we know, it will be fixed,” the artist said on Instagram. Flynn is Bloom’s son with ex-wife, Miranda Kerr. He is currently engaged to Katy Perry.

The HGTV show “House Hunters” always shows houses in groups of THREE . . . and now, they’re showing COUPLES in groups of three.  This past Wednesday’s episode featured the show’s first THROUPLE, people who live in a three-person relationship. In this case, it was Brian and Lori, a married couple, who have two kids.  Lori is a bisexual, so four years ago they brought another woman named Geli into the relationship.  Geli said, quote, “Buying a house together, as a throuple, will signify, like, our next big step as a family of five rather than all four of them plus me.”

PEARL JAM released a new song yesterday, but you can only hear it if you point your phone at the moon.  The track is called “Superblood Wolfmoon”, fittingly enough.  And if you want to listen to it, you have to download a special app from the band.  Then you open it on your phone, point your camera at the moon, and ROCK OUT.  Theoretically. In addition to the song, you also get onscreen animations dancing around the moon.  So you’ll have that going for you.  This is the second song off the band’s upcoming album “Gigaton” . . . and it’ll be online next Wednesday if you don’t feel like downloading the app.

After five years Justin Bieber has a new album out called Changes. I sampled a bit this morning and its less rap and more ballady and about love and etc.   The 17-track album is “less dance-floor fodder, and more futuristic R&B built upon a variety of trap beats.”  The collaborations, including  Quavo, Post Malone, Travis Scott, Summer Walker and Lil Dicky.

I believe Funko Pops are EVERYWHERE, and it looks like they’re here to stay.  From Mickey Mouse to the Killer Klowns from Outer Space. This past December, Funko announced plans for a Baby Yoda from the Disney+ show “The Mandalorian”.  Technically, they call it “The Child”, because it’s not really Yoda, and it doesn’t have a name yet on the show. Well, whatever you call it, it doesn’t even come out until May . . . but it’s already the best-selling pre-order Funko Pop ever. FYI, the overall best-selling Funko Pop is Baby Dancing Groot from “Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2”.  But I have a feeling Baby Yoda’s taking over.

The 2019 film made over a billion dollars at the box office, so it’s understandable that Disney is doing a sequel. Disney is reportedly working on a sequel to the live-action 2019 film Aladdin. The film will be a theatrical release instead of going right to the Disney+ streaming service. The writers, both Oscar nominated (John Gatins and Andrea Berloff) from Flight and Straight Outta Compton were given the gig after a lot of pitch meetings from other writers. It is hoped all will return to their roles, but offers are unlikely to go out until the script is complete.

Original Mighty Ducks coach Emilio Estevez will OFFICIALLYcome back to his role as Coach Gordon Bombay in Disney+’s  series reboot. Apparently Lauren Graham will also be a coach of a new team set in modern day Minnesota. “After 25 years, I am delighted to lace up my skates, put on Coach Bombay’s jacket and return to play the iconic character for this new chapter in The Mighty Ducks franchise. Likewise, I am thrilled to return to my old stomping grounds with my friends at Disney and Steve Brill, the original creator of the franchise, to join them on their exciting new platform, Disney+,” Estevez exclaimed in a statement.

I guess Ray Donovan  may get a chance to wrap things up properly after it was suddenly canceled earlier this month after seven seasons with either a few final episodes or a movie to wrap things up. Apparently there was enough social media uproar that took Showtime by surprise.

Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl says the band already has a new album in the can. He says the best songs come together in about 45 minutes yet he has a riff on this new record he first demoed 25 years ago. And he’s been working on a new documentary about bands going on tour in a van. He has interviewed everybody… The Beatles toured in a van, Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, U2, everybody, he says, has had a van. Grohl commented. He says bands wear the van life like a badge after giving up everything with no safety net. Grohl did not give any indication when the movie or new album will be released.

Comedian John Mulaney who used to write for SNL will once again return to the show this season  hosting their February 29 episode. Daniel Craig will host on March 7 with musical guest The Weeknd. It’ll be Mulaney’s third time

Do you play foosball?  Chandler and Joey had a table in their apartment on “Friends“, and foosball was a MILLION DOLLAR championship competition in the ’70s.  What happened?  A new documentary answers that question and updates us on people who are still hoping to be champs of the game today.  Here’s a piece of the trailer

You’ve seen Brian Posehn in shows like “The Big Bang Theory”.  He’s been in movies, and does stand-up comedy.  He just released his new album today, and it’s NOT your typical comedy album.  In fact, it’s a heavy metal album, filled with guys from Anthrax, Slipknot, Fall Out Boy, Soundgarden, Weird Al, and more.  Here he is with his rock buddies, doing a metal version of A’ha’s, “Take On Me.

Friday on Hulu:  The series premiere of “High Fidelity”.  This remake of the 2000 movie is a gender role reversal.  It stars Zoe Kravitz as a Brooklyn record store owner who revisits her past relationships through music.
