Tell me what’s the first thing that pops into your head as I tell you about this…JUSSIE SMOLLETT’s family is trying to get him out of jail ASAP saying he’s in danger. Supposedly, they’re getting all kinds of hateful messages, including this voicemail. They also claim he’s at higher risk for COVID due to a compromised immune system . . . and his mental health is in jeopardy because he’s being held in protective custody, which is basically solitary confinement.
To help end the war ELON MUSK has challenged (LINK) Vladimir Putin to a FIGHT. One on one, with Ukraine’s future as the prize. He sent a follow-up Tweet saying, quote, “Do you agree to this fight?” A third text just simply said “you up?”

Streams of Nirvana’s 1991 song “Something In The Way” have surged thanks to the release of the new film The Batman. Its in the movie twice and in the trailer. Within the first four days of release it earned over 3 million streams compared to 372,000 four days before. That’s a stream increase of 732%! Last December the film’s director, Matt Reeves, said that Kurt Cobain inspired his version of Batman, saying “When I write, I listen to music, and as I was writing the first act, I put on Nirvana’s ‘Something in the Way’. That’s when it came to me that, rather than make Bruce Wayne the playboy version we’ve seen before, there’s another version who had gone through a great tragedy and become a recluse…and the idea of this fictionalized version of Kurt Cobain being in this kind of decaying manor.”
Everyone who hated on the possibility of Dolly Parton being in the Rock Hall of Fame can back away from their keyboards because she isn’t going in. At least right now. She was one of seven first-time nominees, and as of last night she was fourth in overall voting. But here’s the thing, she took her own name out of the running. She posted: “Dolly here. Even though I am extremely flattered and grateful to be nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, I don’t feel that I have earned that right. I really do not want votes to be split because of me, so I must respectfully bow out. “I do hope the [Hall] will understand and be willing to consider me again . . . if I’m ever worthy.” She added, quote, “This has inspired me to put out a hopefully great rock ‘n’ roll album at some point in the future, which I’ve always wanted to do.” The Rock Hall has inducted several country artists (LINK), including Johnny Cash, Chet Atkins, Floyd Cramer, Bill Monroe, Hank Williams, Bob Wills . . . and the Father of Country Music, Jimmie Rodgers.

The Full House cast got together at 90s Con, a huge convention celebrating all things from the 1990s out in Hartford, Connecticut over the weekend. Someone from the Today Show asked if they would do a Full Houses reboot with Bob Saget. It was a yes. They said things like…Bob would want that…I would do it in a heartbeat.
Not a lot of TV characters have pet cats, and there’s a reason for that. Mostly its because they are not always predictable. Michael Jamin has been writing and producing TV for more than 20 years, and he made a TikTok explaining why working with cats sucks.
ROD STEWART decided to take matters into his own hands after a local road in need of repair had been ignored for too long. It got personal the moment he realized he could no longer drive his Ferrari through. He posted a video of himself doing actual road work. He said, quote, “This is the road near where I live in Harlow, and it’s been like this for ages. The other day there was an ambulance with a burst tire . . .”My Ferrari can’t go through here at all. So me and the boys thought we’d come and do it ourselves. So this is what we’re doing, filling in the holes, while millions and millions of pounds have been spent on the [local highway] M11.” I guess this is what England has come to. A 77-year-old rockstar must repair his own local street because no one else is bothering to do it (LINK)

The Colts are one of several teams with questions regarding who will be their next QB. Their eventual answer, however, won’t be coming from the Texans. Houston has reportedly declined Indianapolis’s request to speak with Deshaun Watson in hopes of landing the QB via trade. It was noted that the club remains open to trading Watson, but prefers to trade him out of the AFC South.
We do know another team that has locked down their next QB. The Pittsburgh Steelers have come to terms on a two year deal with former Bears and Bills QB Mitchell Trubisky. According to Trubisky – it was either the Steelers or the Giants. Now – its not 100% official that he will start. It looks like he will compete for the starting gig with QB Mason Rudolph. Teddy Bridgewater is headed to Miami as he will sign a 1 year deal to back up Tua.
The San Diego Padres made waves when they agreed to a massive 14-year, $340 million contract with shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. in February of last year, and they reportedly will not attempt to get out of it following his wrist injury. The GM revealed Tatis suffered a fractured left wrist that may require surgery and could keep him out for up to three months. The team is not expected to pursue voiding Tatis’ deal “even though an injury sustained while operating a motorcycle could provide the basis for doing so.” What’s more, “the process of voiding a $340 million contract would be legally complicated even in the clearest of circumstances,” and the circumstances are anything but clear in this case. Also – In a memo sent to teams on Saturday, Major League Baseball announced it is requiring managers, coaches and other on-field staff to be “up to date” with their COVID-19 vaccines for the 2022 season.
Other names on the move in free agency – the Braves got themselves a new 1st basemen in Matt Olson, so its 100% official that the Freddie Freeman era is over in Atlanta. And Andrew McCutchen – excuse me – Cardinal killer Andrew McCutchen has signed a deal with the Brewers.
It appears that extra-inning MLB games won’t be facing many adjustments ahead of the 2022 season. Apparently, the league and the Major League Baseball Players Association are discussing keeping the ghost-runner rule in place for the upcoming year. As part of their negotiations on health and safety protocols, Major League Baseball and the MLB Players Association are discussing restoring the rule that placed a runner on second to begin extra innings. It reportedly had been expected that the rule was set to expire after last season. While it’s not yet official, signs point to an official announcement coming soon.
Cameron Smith earned the biggest victory of his career, outlasting Anirban Lahiri to capture the 2022 Players Championship on Monday at TPC Sawgrass. Lahiri was unable to birdie the 18th hole, which sealed the result for Smith. Smith finished at 13 under, one shot better than Lahiri. Paul Casey, Kevin Kisner and Keegan Bradley rounded out the top five.
Toronto Maple Leafs star Auston Matthews has been suspended two games for cross-checking Buffalo Sabres defenseman Rasmus Dahlin in the head during Sunday’s Heritage Classic. He will be eligible to return for Saturday’s game against the Predators. Matthews, who had previously never been suspended, will forfeit $116,000 dollars. Matthews was assessed a minor penalty for cross-checking, and Toronto went on to lose 5-2. After the game, the 24-year-old explained the play, saying he didn’t mean to catch Dahlin up high.
Former WWE star Scott Hall has died at 63 after being taken off life-support. He had been on life support after suffering three heart attacks one week after undergoing hip replacement surgery. Hall rose to popularity in the 90s as wrestler “Razor Ramon”, earning fans after his incredible ladder match with Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 10. Hall would later join the WCW in 1996, forming the New World Order with Kevin Nash and babyface-turned-heel “Hollywood” Hulk Hogan. The formation of the NWO would lead to the legendary “Monday Night Wars”, with the WCW beating the WCW in ratings for 83 straight weeks. The wrestler, who admitted to using steroids during his wrestling heights, also has had several battles with drugs and alcohol but had been doing well since retiring and getting help from his mentor and former manager, wrestler Diamond Dallas Page. Hall, a two-time WWE Hall of Famer, last appeared on WWE television at WrestleMania 37 in Tampa
