Well, the photographer only got that pic because he received a tip . . . from Angelina. That’s what “Rolling Stone” co-founder Jann Wenner says in his upcoming memoir, “Like a Rolling Stone”. Jann also owned “Us Weekly” at the time, and it was one of his guys who received the tip. At the time, there were rumors . . . but no actual evidence that Brad and Angelina were hooking up. Wenner says the photographer was told where they were staying, details about where they took their daily walk, and even a suggestion of where they could be “secretly” photographed. He says, quote, “We got the photo, we got the proof. We had the worldwide scoop, the debut of Brangelina. The tipster was Angelina.”
Martha Stewart wore an apron and nothing else in an ad for Green Mountain Coffee Roasters’ pumpkin spice K-cups. She said, quote, “I started modeling when I was a young girl and if the job called for any bit of nudity in any way, I could go with it, it’s okay. I’m not embarrassed about it . . .I try to stay in good shape, and I think I looked very passable in those lovely photos.” Martha is 81 years old, but keeps in shape by working out, doing pilates, swimming, and going horseback riding two times a week.
Guy Fieri has a special “rite of passage” for his sons when they get their driver’s license to ensure they become responsible and self-sufficient. Recently, his 16-year-old son Ryder started driving so he got his grandparents’ old minivan. And back when his now 26-year-old son Hunter got his license, he had to drive his grandpa’s 1996 truck with no working windows. Guy’s reasoning is simple. quote, “Show me that you can spend a year driving the car, not getting any dents, not getting any wrecks, not getting any tickets. Then you can take your own money out of the bank and go buy a car.” Hunter said he appreciates his dad’s decision. Quote, “He’s a great teacher and father and leads by example. After a year-long delay, AC/DC front man Brian Johnson is finally releasing his autobiography, ‘The Lives of Brian’ on October 13th. No reason was ever given for the memoir’s delay. ‘The Lives of Brian’ covers Johnson’s early years in County Durham through his return to the band with AC/DC’s 2020 album, ‘Power Up’.

Wainwright and Molina made their 324th start together to match the longtime big-league record set by Detroit’s Mickey Lolich and Bill Freehan 45 years ago. They say trends in baseball would have to drastically swing a certain way for another 2 to even have a chance to get near this record again. Molina had a day at the plate too. The 40-year-old catcher had not hit a home run since returning from the IL. Dude has 1,011 career hits at Busch III, but he had only one previous multi-homer game at home, back in 2017. Last night Molina’s two-run homer to Big Mac Land in the second inning broke a tie and reclaimed a lead for the Cards. Then he hit his second homer — a solo shot lined into the left field corner’s nook that tied the game. But it wasn’t enough. Cards lost 11-6 to the Washington Nationals and split a four-game series at Busch Stadium with the team that has the worst record in the National League.
The Rams underwhelmed their way to a season-opening 31-10 home loss to Buffalo, and it might have been worse had the Bills not gifted them four turnovers. Any dissection of what went wrong for the Rams last night has to start with an offense that struggled to sustain drives. They ran the ball a ton with only modest success and consistently left the Rams in second- or third-and-long. A revamped Bills defensive line teed off in those situations, sacking Matthew Stafford seven times despite consistently rushing only four men. So where are we on the standings so far where it matters.

Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen are dealing with “tension” in their marriage over the 45-year-old quarterback’s decision to return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this season, sources tell PEOPLE, and as of now, she isn’t set to attend his first game this Sunday. A source with the Buccaneers tells PEOPLE that “it’s always a big thing when Gisele is coming to watch the game,” with extra security and snacks for the family, but “as of right now, there’s none of that for Sunday’s game.” “It feels very different this year than last year. She was excited to be here, we saw her around,” the source says. “I’m not saying she can’t possibly come, but nothing is in place for her to be here for the first regular season game and that seems weird.”
The insider adds that people are not bringing up Bündchen, 42, around Brady. “Everyone here knows that there’s tension, but we don’t know how serious it is. So we’re just not talking to him about Gisele. It’s not a topic anyone wants to bring up to him.”
The world of chess has been rocked by accusations of cheating made by the world’s top player, Magnus Carlsen, after he was beaten by a 19-year-old prodigy who admitted to cheating in the past while insisting he is now “clean”. The Norwegian grandmaster Carlsen sent shockwaves around the sport when he quit a $500,000 tournament in St Louis less than 24 hours after his surprise defeat to the US player Hans Niemann.
Carlsen did not explain why he had quit but announced he had withdrawn from the tournament in a social media post that included a meme of Jose Mourinho in which the former Chelsea manager says: “I prefer not to speak. If I speak I am in big trouble.” However, a fellow grandmaster, the popular chess streamer Hikaru Nakamura, explained that Carlsen’s exit was because he suspected his opponent Niemann had “probably cheated”.
Niemann denied the accusations, but admitted to cheating as a 12 and then 16-year-old in online games. Niemann insisted he had not cheated in order to beat Carlsen, before accusing his critics of “trying to ruin his career”.
Niemann said he would be willing to “strip naked” in order to prove his innocence and stressed he was a reformed character after admitting to using computers to cheat in online games on Chess.com as a youth. I for one am all for naked Chess.
The Ty Cobb T206 is the “holy grail” for collectors, but for as much as the card is worth (up to millions), about 50 reportedly exist … now, if you’re looking for something truly unique, there’s another piece of memorabilia that recently hit the auction block — Ty Cobb’s freakin’ dentures … his actual false teeth. SCP Auctions currently has Cobb’s chompers — top and bottom — on the block, along with the “original plaster denture holder and brass opening device.” After Cobb’s death in 1961, the teeth were preserved. Ty’s biographer, Al Stump, held the teeth for years before unloading them at Sotheby’s in 1999 … to the current consignor, who held the dentures for over 22 years.
In 1909 he won the Triple Crown, the A.L. MVP in 1911, and was a 12x batting champion. Cobb averaged .366 and had 4,191 hits over his 24-season career.
Cobb was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1936.
