Tyrese Gibson is suing The Home Depot over allegations the home improvement retailer racially profiled him. The lawsuit claims two male associates who were hired by Tyrese to do construction work for him experienced outrageous discriminatory mistreatment and consumer racial profiling” while visiting the company’s West Hills, Calif. location earlier in the year. The men were finishing up their shopping when fans began noticing that the “Fast & Furious” franchise star was in the store, so he gave his associates his credit card to pay for the items and went to go wait in his car. However, the cashier allegedly “refused to complete the purchase transaction,” even after the “Transformers” actor returned to the store. “The cashier gave no reasonable explanation other than repeating ‘store policy’ and demanded to see a form of identification,” the suit claims. Johnny Hardwick has died at 64. He has been a stand-up comic since 1990 but we all probably know him best as the voice of exterminator and conspiracy theorist “Dale Gribble” on ‘King of The Hill’. ‘TMZ’ says cops were called to Hardwick’s home for a welfare check on Tuesday and then discovered his body. The 2023 Emmy Awards have officially been moved to 2024. Paramore has been forced to cancel the final two dates on their U.S. tour due to singer Hayley Williams’ ongoing health issues. The band’s shows at Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Portland Thursday night and the Delta Center in Salt Lake City on Sunday (Aug. 13) have been called off as she continues to battle a lung infection.
· “Hey everybody, we just got off stage in Seattle. After speaking with our team and my doc, I know that trying to finish this tour is now going to come at a detriment to my health,” she wrote after Wednesday night’s show.
· “My lungs are just not healing quickly enough to keep up. It got a little scary tonight.”
· Hayley promised they would post an official statement about the show cancellations and rescheduling and apologized to fans who’ve already been camping out in Portland.
· “I’m so sorry for all the chaos this has caused some of you. I really tried to kick this s–t. Love you all,” she wrote.
Hip-Hop influencer and “flexer” Lil Tay issued a statement yesterday saying she’s still alive, and her Instagram was “compromised by a 3rd party.” TMZ received a statement, supposedly written by Lil Tay. And it says, quote, “I want to make it clear that my brother and I are safe and alive, but I’m completely heartbroken, and struggling to even find the right words to say. “It’s been a very traumatizing 24 hours. All day yesterday, I was bombarded with endless heartbreaking and tearful phone calls from loved ones all while trying to sort out this mess.” The post about Tay’s “death” has also been removed from her Instagram . . . but for the record, she hasn’t shown herself publicly, or posted anything new. Metallica are using the M72 Tour to help food banks in the areas where they play. After last weekend’s shows in East Rutherford, New Jersey, the band’s All Within My Hands Foundation was able to donate $100,000 to be split between four organizations, locally.
