Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band have postponed all performances currently scheduled for September 2023, beginning with tomorrow’s (Thursday) scheduled show at the JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, N.Y. Springsteen is being treated for symptoms of peptic ulcer disease and the decision of his medical advisors is that he should postpone the remainder of his September shows. Springsteen comments: “Over here on E Street, we’re heartbroken to have to postpone these shows. First, apologies to our fabulous Philly fans who we missed a few weeks ago. We’ll be back to pick these shows up and then some. Thank you for your understanding and support.” Springsteen turns 74 on September 23rd. This is the second postponement this year.
Travis Barker has explained that he’d flown home to deal with ”a life-threatening emergency surgery for our baby that I’m so grateful went well.” He says the Blink 182 tour will resume Friday. In a separate post on Instagram, Barker’s wife, Kourtney Kardashian, explained that despite the surgery, the baby still hasn’t been born. She wrote, ”As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery… Walking out of the hospital with my baby boy in my tummy and safe was the truest blessing.” – LINK

The Cardinals have hit eight homers and scored 21 runs in two games for their first back-to-back games of at least 10 runs since 2019. All of this against a pitcher that is the National League’s leader in wins, its leader in strikeouts, and a candidate to win its Cy Young Award. Cardinals have won three consecutive games for only the third time since All-Star break and are in position to sweep tonight with Adam Wainwright making the final major-league start of his career in his home state. The Los Angeles Angels took their team photo on Tuesday, but the team’s biggest star was nowhere to be seen. Angels starting pitcher/designated hitter Shohei Ohtani is currently dealing with oblique soreness, so he wasn’t available when the team photo was being taken.
With Ohtani not on the field for that photo, the team used a body double in his place. According to Bally Sports West, the Angels used someone that was “very tall in the front office, name not to be discussed.”
Angels reporter Sarah Valenzuela shared photos of the body double on social media, and stated that the man was just slated to occupy Ohtani’s spot in the photo. The team plans to photoshop Ohtani into the team photo once it is released so “Shohei will be in the photo when you see it,”
Nick Bosa has agreed to a five-year, $170 million extension with the San Francisco 49ers, including $122.5 million guaranteed, by a wide margin. It will make him the highest-paid defensive player in history.
Tom Brady is keeping extremely busy in his retired life. The dude is now working with Delta Air Lines, noting in a press release that he’s the son of a mom who was a flight attendant. He was just announced as a “strategic adviser,” who will ” work closely with Delta’s employees for onboarding, cultural familiarity and immersion into the Delta organization.” My question is when has this guy flown Delta. Can he tell them to stop losing peoples guitars and will it make it more or less safe to have the landing gear deflated a little after he gets a hold of em?
