The streaming service Max is reportedly thinking about adding CNN news alerts, WHILE you’re watching content.  According to “Variety”, for now, there aren’t any specifics about HOW this alert would come up . . . whether it’s in the bottom corner, or something REALLY intrusive like the old “Pop-Up Video” bubbles on VH1. People are already threatening to cancel subscriptions if this happens – LINK

It’s called “Lego Jurassic Park:  The Unofficial Retelling”, and it’ll be 22 minutes long.  They say it’s coming out now in celebration of the movie’s 30th anniversary.  (The movie hit theaters in June of 1993.) No word if the original cast is involved, but the poster does include a Lego Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) with grey hair, and the tagline, “That is one big pile of bricks” . . . which is a reference to a line of his in the original movie. Gwyneth Paltrow participated in an Instagram Q&A Wednesday afternoon, addressing why she hasn’t appeared in a Marvel project since “Avengers: Endgame” in 2019. “I didn’t, I just, it just — we just stopped doing it because Iron Man died and why do you need Pepper Potts without Iron Man? I don’t know!” She also joked that concerned parties should take it up with Marvel instead of her. “Call Marvel and yell at them, not me  I’m just sitting here.” – LINK

St. Louis CITY SC’s acquired two new faces in the summer window and it just so happened to be the two players that found the back of the net late in the game against FC Dallas to give CITY SC their 15th win of the season.

St. Louis CITY SC picked up their fourth consecutive home MLS victory with a 2-1 victory over FC Dallas. Following a scoreless first half, midfielder Rasmus Alm connected with defender Anthony Markanich, who netted his first MLS goal to give CITY SC the lead. Forward Nökkvi Thorisson doubled the advantage in the 85th minute, sending one into goal off a cross from midfielder Eduard Löwen. FC Dallas’ cut the lead by one in second-half stoppage time, but CITY SC held on to seal the victory.

Tommy Edman, who hit a walk-off RBI single in the 10th inning against the team he watched as a kid San Diego on Tuesday night, became the first Cardinals player with walk-off RBIs in consecutive games since Albert Pujols on June 4-5, 2011. Rookies Jordan Walker and Masyn Winn provided key performances to put the Cardinals within striking distance, and Tommy Edman delivered the most clutch hit of the day again in a 5-4 series-clinching win over the Padres in the finale of a three-game series at Busch Stadium. Walker went 4-for-4 with a double and a home run, his first four-hit game in the majors. Winn’s two-out double in the ninth inning made Edman’s game-altering at-bat possible. Nebraska volleyball stands alone, and not just in the volleyball world, or the NCAA world.

The Cornhuskers set a world record for attendance at a women’s sporting event Wednesday, gathering 92,003 fans at Memorial Stadium for a match against Omaha to break the previous mark of 91,648 set by FC Barcelona Femení last year.

The number not only broke the women’s world record, it also set the attendance record for Memorial Stadium, where the Huskers play football. Nebraska volleyball sets world record for attendance at women’s sporting event – LINK
