Aaron Carter’s mom shared a series of pics of the scene left behind in her late son’s bathroom to call more attention to the ongoing investigation. Jane Carter posted the graphic photos of the bathroom, showing what appeared to be feces on the floor and a tub filled with green water. It was noted that the images weren’t taken by law enforcement. “Still trying to get a real investigation for the death of my son Aaron Carter,” she wrote on Facebook Wednesday, adding that she believes the coroner wrote off her son’s cause of death “as an accidental overdose.” “They never investigated it as a possible crime scene because of his addiction past.” Jane showed photos of towels laid down on the floor and a pile of soiled clothes and added that the images hadn’t been snapped by police. She continued: “Because of my son’s mental illness and prescription drug issues, they just wanted it to be something easy that they didn’t have the time or inclination to address.” “We want answers. We want justice. There are people who must be held accountable.” Jane hopes legal commenter Nancy Grace agrees to look into their case now that the Murdaugh trial is over. Aaron Carter was found dead in the bathtub in early November, surrounded by cans of compressed air and prescription pill bottles. He was 34. The L.A. County Coroner’s Office told Aaron’s family his autopsy did not find any water in his lungs, meaning he didn’t drown and leading investigators to believe he died from an OD.
blink-182 has delayed the start of their reunion tour after drummer Travis Barker reinjured his finger. Barker had dislocated his finger last month when he smashed it during rehearsals. The band has scrapped all of their shows in March, but told fans that they would return to cities like Tijuana. blink’s Tom DeLonge said “Travis needs to go in and have surgery on his finger, and we have to get that well, and we have to get that strong before we can do anything else.”
Chris Rock is finally talking about the slap. With his new Netflix special on the way, the he has been working on jokes for the set, including addressing for the first time being slapped by Will Smith. Rock also said, “Even in animated movies, I’m a zebra, he’s a shark.” Then he referenced one of Smith’s rap songs, “I got hit so hard I heard ‘Summertime’ ringing in my ears.” He has stayed mostly silent about the incident. In July, Smith public apologized for his actions. “I made a choice on my own from my own experiences, from my history with Chris. I want to say sorry to my kids and my family for the heat that I’ve brought on all of us. I’ve reached out to Chris and the message that came back is that he’s not ready to talk, and when he is he will reach out. So I will say to you, Chris, I apologize to you. My behaviour was unacceptable, and I’m here whenever you’re ready to talk.”
How close was the Dude in “The Big Lebowski” to the REAL Jeff Bridges? Pretty close, as it turns out. He says that when he first read the script, quote, “I thought the [Coen Brothers] must have spied on me when I was in high school.” Also, about half of the Dude’s clothes came from his own wardrobe. Jeff says he was surprised when the movie hit theaters and pretty much bombed, because he thought it was going to be a hit. Obviously, it has a huge cult following now. Quote, “I’m so happy to be in that movie. I pretty much dug it all, man. There’s an aspect of the Dude I aspired to . . . he’s authentic, isn’t he? He’s who he is, and that’s about it. He’s a lovely cat.”(Hollywood Reporter)
Not everyone can say they’ve been slapped 20 times by Emma Stone. But Willem Dafoe can. They’re starring in an upcoming movie called “And” together, and there’s a scene where Emma’s character slaps Willem’s. The shot didn’t require Willem to be on set, but he insisted he get slapped so it looked genuine. In a “New York Times“ interview, Emma said, “There’s this instinct to perform that many actors have, the ‘look at me, look at me!’ kind of performer. [Willem’s] the opposite of that.” Apparently he was always on set, even when he didn’t need to be. (EW)
This is what you want from your viral marketing: Paramount hired a guy to promote “Scream 6” by hanging around Sonoma Plaza in California dressed as the killer, Ghostface. Well, people who didn’t know he was being paid called 911 . . . and police had to figure out what was going on. The studio chose an interesting spot, given that scenes from the original “Scream” were filmed in the area back in 1996. “Scream 6” hits theaters next Friday. (Check out a news report that includes video of Ghostface just standing there.)
Up until now, the only way to see the ABBA Voyage hologram concert was to travel to London . . . where they built a special, 3,000-seat venue just for the show. And you still can, because it’s playing there at least through the end of this year. But that’s going to change. Universal Music Group says it’s making plans to take the show AROUND THE WORLD. Sadly, there aren’t any details yet. ABBA Voyage is a 90-minute show that encompasses the band’s entire career, right up to their 2021 album “Voyage”. George Lucas’ Industrial Light and Magic used motion capture technology to create ABBA-tars . . . (Yes I said that) . . . of the band as they looked in 1979. (Consequence)
Larsa Pippen is the ex-wife of former Chicago Bulls star Scottie Pippen. At the moment, she’s dating Marcus Jordan, the son of Scottie’s former teammate Michael Jordan. Larsa is 48, and Marcus is 32. So how’s Michael handling this? Apparently, pretty well. On the “Tamron Hall Show” this week, Larsa said Michael and his wife have given the couple their blessing. Quote, “They’re all happy, our whole family’s fine. I feel like it’s more about where I am and where he is . . . I feel like we’re great. We’ve spent holidays together and it’s good. We’re in a great place.” It sounds like Scottie isn’t taking this quite as well. Larsa said, quote, “He has a right to the way he feels. I personally don’t care about what other people think. I feel like I live my truth, I’m happy.” (Fox News)
