Donda 2 by Wanye Kest is at #22 on the hip hop album charts because someone posted a FAKE version on iTunes, and it fooled a lot of people. You know how YE’s “Donda 2” came out last week EXCLUSIVELY on his Stem Player? Well, some people didn’t get the memo. The fake album has only 11 tracks, and they’re all instrumental. The real album has 16 tracks. But at least those people think they’re listening to the album legitimately. Some people are getting it for free using a script that emulates Kanye’s Stem player.

Some Ukrainian stuff…As you may know, Steven Seagal and Vlady Putin are totally bros. But if you saw that Seagal was fighting this Ukraine war with Russia would you check a source or 2? JOE ROGAN got duped by a FAKE NEWS story that claimed STEVEN SEAGAL was helping the Russian military. He came clean on social media also pointing out that Seagal was BANNED from Ukraine in 2017, because he was labeled a security threat. Also, movie studios are now canceling the Russian releases of movies like “The Batman” and “Morbius“.

Who would win in a fight? Rocky or Rambo? Well, SYLVESTER STALLONE weighed in on Instagram (LINK), and his answer was . . . not much of an answer, frankly. First he said, quote, “If it’s two men meeting in the street and going at each other with no rules I believe the outcome would be . . . If the fighters [were] to remain upright Rocky would prevail. “His body punches and right hooks would eventually beat Rambo. If the fight goes to the ground, Rambo will prevail in a bloody brutal fight to the end. But then he got even more vague. He said, quote, “Rethinking this scenario, I believe that upon initial contact, since they will not be in the rain but fighting outside, basically a street fight, the Rocky will land the first five or six blows. “If that does not incapacitate Rambo, which I don’t think he will unless he’s caught clean, Rambo’s skill set will definitely be in full display. “Which means incredibly vicious assaults on the eyes, the throat, every vulnerable part of the body eventually leading to being pulled to the ground and most likely mauled. “Then again Rocky is incredibly resilient and pretty good on the ground too!!! That’s my opinion in this fictional world. Final result is neither man will ever be the same.”

After a 16-hour day of meetings that stretched into early this morning, Major League Baseball and the MLB Players Association moved the deadline for a new collective bargaining agreement that would save regular-season games from being canceled to 4 p.m. today. While the sides made progress toward a new deal during the marathon negotiating session, which included more than a dozen meetings and wrapped for the night around 1:30 a.m, gaps remain between the sides on the competitive-balance tax thresholds, minimum salary and bonus pool for pre-arbitration player. Also on the table: the implementation of an international draft. The sides plan to resume talks at 10 a.m. A couple sources say that the deal is impossible but not close. We are seeing that the size of the playoff field was a “very big issue at the moment” with the owners pushing for a 14-team postseason. Heyman suggested the size of the playoffs could be the “biggest bargaining chip” for the players, who previously agreed to expand it to 12. As of yesterday, the two sides had agreed to a 12-team playoff, with luxury-tax penalties expected to be similar to the previous CBA. The league has already canceled (LINK) spring training games through at least March 8, and Opening Day is scheduled for March 31. A number of unsigned free agents will sign with teams when there is an agreement in place, so there could be quite the push of offseason moves in a limited window if the sides do settle on a plan.
Derek Jeter is stepping down as CEO of the Miami Marlins. He said QUOTE: “The vision for the future of the franchise is different than the one I signed up to lead.” The Hall of Fame shortstop was a part-owner of the Marlins and became the team’s chief executive officer in 2017. The decision comes amid an ongoing dispute between Major League Baseball and the players association over the new collective bargaining agreement.
Boston Red Sox minor league player Brett Netzer is now known as FORMER Boston Red Sox minor league player Brett Netzer. He has been released from the team following a barrage of offensive, homophobic and racist tweets. Netzer, who hasn’t played since 2019, requested his release Saturday and the team granted it. In a series of tweets on Friday and Saturday, Netzer attacked the team’s Chief Baseball Officer, calling him a “bad actor” and a “fraud,” while targeting his Jewish identity. In one tweet Saturday, he took aim at Bloom for supporting Black Lives Matter and the LGBTQ community. In his posts, Netzer targeted transgender people. In another, he said Black people should “go back to their roots and start to re-establish their true black culture.” In another tweet, he wrote: “I am a racist. I do sometimes make assumptions based on a persons race/ethnicity/culture. Glad that is out of the way.” Obviously the team and the league is distancing themselves from this fellas pretty quickly.
The NFL has announced five home teams for the 2022 International Series. The Packers and Saints will play separate home games in Tottenham’s Stadium. The Jaguars will play host at Wembley Stadium. The Bucs have a game in Munich, Germany and the Cardinals will head to Mexico City. Dates, schedules and opponents haven’t been announced yet. The NFL has played at least one game outside of the US every season since 2007, with the exception of 2020 due to the pandemic.
The International Ice Hockey Federation announced (LINK) yesterday that teams from Russia and Belarus are suspended from competitions until further notice. The ban will keep Russian and Belarusian national teams from competing in the 2022 World Championship in May, as well as the Women’s World Championship and World Junior Championship this year. Russia will also no longer be allowed to host the 2023 IIHF World Junior Championship. The NHL is cutting Russia off as well. They said, quote, “Effective immediately, we are suspending our relationships with our business partners in Russia and we are pausing our Russian-language social and digital media sites.”
World soccer’s governing body suspended Russia and its teams from all competitions on Monday, ejecting the country from qualifying for the 2022 World Cup only weeks before it was to play in this year’s tournament in Qatar. The suspension also banned Russian club teams from international competitions. The decision came a day after FIFA was heavily criticized for not going far enough in punishing Russia for its invasion of Ukraine, and amid mounting demands from national federations for stronger action. The initial pressure for an outright ban of Russia came from soccer officials in Poland, Sweden and the Czech Republic, whose national team faced the prospect of games against Russia in a World Cup playoff in March. Other countries and officials, including the federations representing France, England and the United States, quickly said they would not play Russia under any circumstances.
New York City FC signed 14-year-old midfielder Maximo Carrizo to a homegrown contract Monday, making him the youngest first-team signing in MLS history. Carrizo celebrated his 14th birthday on the same day he signed his contract, which runs through the 2027 season with an option for 2028. He’s the 10th homegrown signing in NYCFC history. “We’re extremely happy to sign Maximo to his first professional contract, this is a historic moment for both the club and MLS. He’s a special and extremely talented player and it’s been exciting to watch him develop over recent years in our academy.”
If you didn’t already get your tickets for Saturday’s game between Duke and North Carolina, then you might be out of luck. The average ticket price at StubHub exceeds $5,000 for what will be the final home contest for legendary Blue Devils Coach K. This may not even be a good game in terms of the action on the court. Duke blew out UNC by 20 points during the last meeting between the teams
