This one comes directly from the “I Had No Idea She Was Still Alive” file:  Actress BILLIE HAYES died last Thursday of natural causes.  She was 96 years old. Billie will forever be remembered as WITCHIEPOO on “H.R. Pufnstuf”, which ran from 1969 to 1970.  She was also Weenie the Genie on “Lidsville”.  Both were Saturday morning children’s shows from Sid and Marty Krofft. The Kroffts Tweeted (link), quote, “Margaret Hamilton (Wizard of Oz) once told us that Billie Hayes was ‘one of the best witches ever.’  We couldn’t agree more.  Rest in Peace dear friend.” Billie also played Mammy Yokum in “Li’l Abner” on Broadway, and in the 1959 movie version.

The pandemic has been going on so long that you may have forgotten that PINK and her then-three-year-old son Jameson tested positive for COVID-19 early on . . . 14 months ago. They had it bad.  In fact, Pink was GETTING HER AFFAIRS IN ORDER. She says (link), quote, “It was really, really bad and I re-wrote my will . . . at the point where I thought it was over for us, I called my best friend and I said, ‘I just need you to tell [my daughter] Willow how much I loved her.'” She adds, quote, “As a parent, you think, ‘What am I leaving for my kid? . . . What do I need to tell them if this is the last time I get to tell them anything?'”

Dannielynn Birkhead is now 14 and she is the daughter of? The late Anna Nicole Smith and Larry Birkhead. We all know the crazy distructive path Anna Nicole Smith went down once she hit the big time spotlight. Well the 14 year old is getting modeling and acting offers. Dad says so far she says no thank you to shun to push away. Larry went on to say that she did a little HS theater but decided to walk away from that. He says she is getting “flooded” with offers and she istn interested in acting…but she would consider doing Stranger Things or The Mandalorian

Warner Brothers is reportedly thinking about producing a Mortal Kombat TV series for HBO Max. They did it with Game of Thrones.  Mortal Kombat could be become a long-standing film franchise

Marvel revealed the name of the “Black Panther” sequel in a hype video (link) for its next phase of films.  It’s “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”.  The only other info they gave about it is the release date:  July 8th, 2022. They also gave us the official title of the next “Captain Marvel” movie, which will just be called “The Marvels”. And they showed some footage from “The Eternals”, “Black Widow”, and “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”. The video also includes the official release dates for “Ant-Man 3: Quantumania”, “Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3”, and “Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”. One of the last things in the video is the number “4”, which appears to be a tease for yet another attempt to make the “Fantastic Four” happen.  No release date was given, though.

Disney+ is celebrating May the 4th and their new animated series Star Wars: The Bad Batch  with the release of many Star Wars-themed cinematic experiences, including a crossover with The Simpsons. Entitled The Force Awakens From Its Nap, the short follows baby Maggie Simpson in a battle against the Dark Side, complete with familiar faces from both The Simpsons and Star Wars.

NBC has yet another “Law & Order” show in the pipeline, and this time the hook is that . . . rather than the prosecution, this one focuses on the DEFENSE.  It’s even called “Law & Order:  For the Defense”. The guy who created “Law & Order”, Dick Wolf, says, quote, “We spent the last 30 years on shows that played offense.  Now it will be great to play defense.” There’s no cast or timeline for the new show yet. After the original “Law & Order”, the others have included:  “Criminal Intent”“Special Victims Unit”“Trial By Jury”“Law & Order: L.A.”“True Crime”“Hate Crimes”, and “Organized Crime”.

There is a new trilogy that just started production yesterday I believe called The Fortress. I hope you haven’t heard of it. I will describe the plot. You tell me the obvious male lead. The story revolves around a top-secret resort for retired U.S. intelligence officers. A group of criminals breach the compound, hellbent on revenge on our hero, forcing the retired officer and his son to save the day.

Chad Michael Murray the head bad guy Jesse Metcalf plays our hero’s son. Bruce Willis is our hero. The franchise has been constructed as a trilogy. The first 2 will shoot back to back and the third film will shoot in the future.

Chad Smith the drummer from Red Hot Chili Peppers has done interviews before. That’s why he just told us the band is working on a new album and its very exciting. He says he isn’t sure when it is coming out but he would like to again state it IS exciting. The last album the band put out was 2016’s The Getaway, with Josh Klinghoffer (link) on the guitar. In November of 2019, the group revealed that they were reuniting (link) with John Frusciante (link), which means their next album will be their first with him since 2006’s Stadium Arcadium.

Adam Wainwright picked up his first win of the year as the Cardinals beat the Mets 6-5.  Harrison Bader and Nolan Arenado hit homers in the win.  Alex Reyes picked up the save.  Johan Oviedo will get his second start of the year.  First pitch from Busch is scheduled for 6:45PM.

Goals from Brayden Schenn, Robert Bortuzzo, and Ryan O’Reilly helped the Blues on their way to a 3-1 win over the Ducks last night.  Bortuzzo’s goal was considered the game winner and O’Reilly’s empty netter was insurance with 10 second left in the game.  The Blues are off today and take on the Ducks at Enterprise Center again on Wednesday.  Puck drop is scheduled for 7PM.

Less than five weeks into the season, the New York Mets are making significant changes.

The Mets fired hitting coach Chili Davis and assistant hitting coach Tom Slater on Monday night following the loss to the Cards. Minor league director of hitting development Hugh Quattlebaum becomes the new hitting coach, and director of player development Kevin Howard takes over as assistant hitting coach under second-year manager Luis Rojas.

Baseball’s Hall of Fame has accepted Roberto Alomar’s resignation from the board of directors. Alomar, who was elected to the board in 2019, submitted a letter of resignation on Saturday in the wake of an allegation of sexual misconduct. The Hall of Fame second baseman was fired last week as a consultant by Major League Baseball and placed on the league’s ineligible list after an investigation into the allegation. Commissioner Rob Manfred announced the firing Friday, saying in a statement that a baseball industry employee reported an incident earlier this year involving Alomar from 2014. The league hired an external legal firm to investigate the matter. MLB said it would not provide further details on the investigation to protect the individual who came forward. Alomar also lost his position as a special assistant with the Toronto Blue Jays. The club said it was severing ties with Alomar, including removing him from its Level of Excellence and taking down his banner from Rogers Centre.

According to the Rangers head coach, Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson crossed the line when he injured New York Rangers star Artemi Panarin on Monday night. The Rangers coach said: “We all saw it. There are lines that can’t be crossed in this game. There’s just zero respect for the game in general. You got one of the star players in this league now that could have gotten seriously, seriously hurt in that incident. You all saw what happened, and it happens time and time again with him. Totally unnecessary.” In the second period, the Rangers had a scoring chance and action crashed the net. While battling for the puck, a Ranger fell stomach first to the ice and Wilson delivered a punch to the back of the back of his head. Wilson was pulled off by another Ranger player. Panarin jumped on Wilson’s back in an effort to stop him from punching his teammate. Wilson and Panarin peeled away, and Wilson eventually pulled off Panarin’s helmet as he pulled him down to the ice with force. Panarin attempted to get up, and Wilson pushed him back down again. Panarin served a two-minute penalty for roughing, then left the game and didn’t return due to a lower body injury. Wilson was given a double-minor penalty for roughing and a 10-minute misconduct, enabling him to finish the game for the Capitals. He scored his 13th goal of the season to cap the scoring in the third period of Washington’s 6-3 win.

At 43, Chad Ochocinco (Johnson) will be making his boxing debut! Apparently, the former Cincinnati Bengals WR has been training in boxing gyms for years but never really expressed serious interest in taking a fight. But, Chad says he was approached by Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe recently and offered a spot on the undercard for the big June 6 event at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. Last night, after making a three and getting the foul, the Portland Trail Blazers’ Carmelo Anthony moved into the top 10 all time in NBA scoring Monday night. He said QUOTE: “Top 10 in anything of all time is a special thing. It don’t seem real because I’m still in it, I’m still doing this.” With 11:09 left in the second quarter against the Hawks in Atlanta, Anthony isolated on the right wing and pulled up from 3, plus the foul. After his trademark move of hitting the side of his head with three fingers, Anthony raised both arms in the air as a quick acknowledgement of the accomplishment. It was his third 3 of the first half, giving him 12 points. Anthony entered Monday’s game against the Hawks nine points behind Hayes’ career total of 27,313.
