Rapper ARCHIE EVERSOLE, who’s best known for the 2002 song “We Ready”, died on April 3rd, after being shot about a week earlier. He was 37 years old. The shooter was allegedly his own BROTHER, Alexander Krause. Police say he shot Archie at a gas station in the Atlanta area on March 25th. He was arrested and is now facing a murder charge. There’s no word on the motive. Archie was only 17 when he recorded his first album, “Ride Wit Me Dirty South Style”. It went gold, thanks to “We Ready”, which became a popular sports anthem. The NFL even used it in an ad (LINK)
Since Bruce Willis‘s family revealed he’d be stepping back and retiring from acting after being diagnosed with aphasia (LINK) people are heading to streaming services to watch his stuff. One thing you wont find is Moonlighting. With Bruce and Cybill Shepard from the 1980’s. But it’s nowhere to be found. Series creator Glenn Gordon Caron says its definitely the music over anything else. He actually made contact with Disney, which owns the show, about putting the series on Disney+, however, he was told that “we don’t see Disney+ that way.” So back then it was an age of audience thing. But now Disney says it’s the music and it would not be cost effective to try to get all the rights. They used music from many decades and many genres. They even broke NEW music. Back then they didn’t have to license anything so they didn’t. The series, which also starred Cybill Shepherd, also had a very famous theme song, performed and co-written by Al Jarreau.
Did you know that MOLLY SHANNON was once sexually harassed by GARY COLEMAN??? It was back when she was trying to break into showbiz, and she got signed by Gary’s agent. The agent took Molly to Gary’s penthouse apartment to meet him, then he left them alone together. Gary had Molly sit down on his bed, and he started TICKLING her. Then he got more aggressive. Molly says she was trying to be polite, but he was “relentless”. He was bouncing on the bed, trying to kiss her and get on top of her. Every time she threw him off, he got back on her. And she was starting to get tired from all the activity. When she got off the bed, Gary grabbed onto her leg, and she had to kick him off. Then she finally got away and locked herself in the bathroom. And Gary stuck his hands under the door and said, quote, “I can see you, Silly Billy.” She finally escaped, and told the agent he needed to keep a closer eye on Gary. But she still wishes she’d stood up for herself more. Molly tells the story in her new book “Hello, Molly!”
A video deposition of JOHNNY DEPP and AMBER HEARD’s former marriage counselor was shared yesterday at their defamation trial. Dr. Laurel Anderson counseled them back in 2015 and said what she saw was “mutual abuse”. Dr. Anderson also said that Amber would initiate fights to keep Johnny with her and that it was also a, quote, “point of pride to [Amber] if she felt disrespected to initiate a fight.” Amber also told the counselor that if Johnny was going to leave her to deescalate a fight, she would strike him to keep him there . . . just because she was afraid of being abandoned (LINK)
After about 40 years with Vanna White, Pat Sajak may have said the wrong thing, in some people’s eyes. They had a contestant who described herself as an “opera buff,” so Pat asked Vanna this. Not surprisingly, there is OUTRAGE on Twitter, with people saying he’s the next Harvey Weinstein. Some are calling on him to be fired, and one asked, quote, “When did this game show turn into Wheel of Fortune After Dark?” (LINK)
Can the “art” be separated from the “artist”? According to a recent survey of 2,000 people, 68% of them said yes, the two CAN be separated. In other words, if Kevin Spacey’s version of Mack the Knife comes on do I say Alexa skip? And if you’re a HUMAN, you can still enjoy “The Cosby Show”. On that same note, 58% said it’s never okay to cancel an artist’s work because of their personal opinions. You know, like don’t cancel “Harry Potter” just because you might disagree with J.K. ROWLING.

A Ted prequel series is coming to Peacock thanks to SETH MACFARLANE. And it’ll also be called “Ted”. Seth will return to voice Ted, of course. He’s also going to be the writer, director, and co-showrunner. There will be 10 episodes. The series will take place in 1993, when MARK WAHLBERG’s character John is 16 years old. Ted’s moment of fame has passed, and he’s living with John and his family in Boston. Just like in the movies, Ted isn’t always the best influence, so we’ll have to see what troubles they get into. The movie takes place in 2012. John will be played by MAX BURKHOLDER from “Parenthood”. No release date has been announced (LINK)
79 year old HARRISON FORD seems to be doing well since getting back to filming “Indiana Jones 5”. So well that he even biked 31 miles after shooting all night until 5:00 a.m. In an interview with “The Hollywood Reporter (LINK)“, co-star MADS MIKKELSEN said, quote, “It was the first time I met him, and he’s an insanely powerful person. Not just as an actor, but physically.” What he did say about “Indiana Jones 5” though, is that, quote, “They’re going heavily back to the first and second film and getting that original feel, something dense and epic.”
Former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted says drummer Alex Van Halen contacted him about a possible Van Halen “tribute” tour. Newsted said Alex Van Halen had Joe Satriani tapped to play guitar and wanted to see if he would handle bass. Newsted said he didn’t feel like he could do Van Halen justice, explaining “There’s nobody that can top it, so how do you show it honor?” Newsted said he didn’t want people to see the tribute as a “money grab” and then the idea “kind of just all fizzled.” Who would he like to work with? ZZ Top, Gary Clark Jr. or Joe Bonamassa and yes Metallica.

Minnesota Wild center Ryan Hartman earned a $4,250 fine after flipping off Evander Kane during Tuesday night’s game vs. the Oilers. Hartman gave Kane the bird after the Oiler left winger got into it with one of his Wild teammates. Hartman later said the action was “well worth it.” Wild and other hockey fans across the country came to Hartman’s defense on Wednesday morning after a fan found the center’s Venmo account. His account was then posted on Twitter, and dozens of fans started pouring in to help pay for Hartman’s fine. As a professional hockey player, Hartman really didn’t need help paying the fine, but fans wanted to show their support for his actions and show their appreciation for him backing up his teammate. The craziest payment of them all, though, was from Kane’s ex-wife, Anna Kane. She sent Hartman $200 to help pay for the fine. She posted a picture of the payment on her Instagram story. Hartman yesterday said the he will be paying the fine, but everyone who sends him money through the end of today – will see their donation go to a non-profit that helps kids.
The $518,000 sale of the game ball used in the now-unretired Tom Brady’s “final” touchdown pass has been voided by mutual agreement between buyer, consigner and auction house. Due to the unique nature of Brady’s decision to return 40 days after he first announced his retirement in late January — and less than 24 hours after the auction closed, no less — no money was exchanged, so the agreement was simply nullified. It took a month to officially announce the voided sale because all parties involved were waiting to see if Brady would stay unretired. According to Lelands Auction company, after both buyer and consigner were reached, that delay was due to wanting to confirm Brady’s status.

When Antonio Brown made his dramatic exit from the Buccaneers’ game against the Jets in Week 17 last season, many considered the NFL career of the seven-time Pro Bowler to be done. However, Brown recently stated he wanted another chance in the league and Hall-of-Fame boxer Floyd Mayweather believes the Super Bowl champion receiver deserves another chance. Mayweather had this to say: QUOTE “He just wants to be treated fair. And this is for any team that’s watching right now. We’ll make them a deal: if they sign AB and AB go through the whole season, no problems at all, then they gotta give us $20 million. But if he mess up, then we’ve gotta give them $20 million. So if any team want to match that, you know, reach out to us.” Brown’s attitude is one thing but also – he has to have ankle surgery. Brown says he won’t be having the surgery unless there is interest from an NFL team.
The Las Vegas Raiders are staying the course. The team and quarterback Derek Carr have agreed to a three-year, $121.5 million contract that ties him to Las Vegas through 2025. Carr, 30, looked like a future star after excellent seasons in 2015 and 2016. He was a potential MVP candidate in 2016 before a broken leg in December of that season ended his campaign. The Raiders made the playoffs that year but missed out on the postseason in the four seasons after. Carr threw for 4,800 yards, 23 touchdowns and 14 interceptions in a season that saw the team experience significant turmoil. Gruden resigned over the release of offensive emails he sent prior to taking over as Raiders head coach for the second time in 2018. Receiver Henry Ruggs III, one of the team’s 2020 first-round picks, was released after he was charged with DUI resulting in the death after his car accident that killed a woman and her dog.
And finally – Urban Meyer clearly isn’t made for the NFL after being fired from the Jaguars for a NUMBER of on and off the field issues. So what’s next? Meyer plans to return to Fox Sports as an analyst. Meyer had previously served as an analyst Fox’s college football program Big Noon Kickoff in 2019 and 2020. He then took over as the head coach of the Jaguars for the 2021 season, a disastrous run that ended after 13 games, a 2-11 record and a mountain of controversy and drama surrounding the head coach. He was fired in December
