Cindy Williams co-starred in films like American Graffiti and The Conversation before making her debut as Milwaukee brewery worker Shirley Feeney in an episode of Happy Days. Here’s Cindy talking about how quickly the show began, after Garry Marshall, the creator of “Happy Days” asked her and his sister, Penny Marshall to guest on that show, as “fast girls”, Laverne & Shirley.  (It all happened in 3 weeks.) Cindy played alongside Penny Marchall who passed in 2018 in Laverne & Shirley, the Happy Days spinoff that ran on ABC from 1976 to 1983. In its prime, it was among the most popular shows on TV. Laverne & Shirley was known almost as much for its opening theme as the show itself. RIP CINDY WILLIAMS An anonymous Long Island plaintiff has filed a suit against Marilyn Manson alleging that the vocalist sexually assaulted her in the 90s when she was a minor. Legal docs read that “Jane Doe” met Manson in 1995 after a concert and invited her and a friend onto his tour bus, asking her name, age, phone number and address. The docs continue that “while on the tour bus”, Manson “performed various acts of criminal sexual conduct upon her” as a member of the singer’s band watched.  The plaintiff also said Manson laughed as she was humiliated and in pain, kicking her off the bus and threatening to kill her and her family if she told anyone what happened.” Manson is also accused of grooming the minor over several years, abusing her. Manson’s former record labels are also getting sued, as lawyers say they knew what was going on at the time. Michael Jackson’s upcoming biopic will star his nephew. Jaafar Jackson will portray his late uncle. Director Antoine Fuqua announced the news on Monday. Jaafar is the son of Jermaine Jackson. Filming on Michael will begin this year. SZA’s SOS continues to rule the chart. The album is number one on the Billboard 200 for the seventh consecutive week. SZA’s project moved 111,000 equivalent album units last week. SOS is the first R&B album to spend its first seven weeks at number one since Whitney Houston’s 1987 classic, Whitney. Eddie Murphy wants more adventures with Shrek.  During a recent interview, Murphy said, “I’d absolutely be open if they ever came with another Shrek, I’d do it in two seconds. I love Donkey.”  Murphy then talked about the Puss N Boots franchise from Shrek. He said, “You know, they did Puss in Boots movies. I was like, ‘They should have did a Donkey movie. Donkey is funnier than Puss in Boots. I mean, I love Puss in Boots, but he ain’t funny as the Donkey.” He continued, “I would do a Donkey movie. I would do another ‘Shrek’ in two seconds.” What are the chances of the movie happening? Murphy said, “That’s Dreamworks Animation. They have to want to do it. Dreamworks, if you all want to do it, just call me. I’m ready, I’m sitting and ready to do Donkey.” Reports say Oasis’ Noel and Liam Gallagher have been told to bury their brotherly hatchet for the sake of their mother’s 80th birthday, which is this week. The brothers’ mom, Peggy “has told Liam to mend the rift and she is hoping there will be genuine reconciliation.”  The brothers have publicly bickered since their hey day, with Noel officially quitting the band in 2009.  The two have rarely been spotted together since then. Noel, however, did recently say that he’d “never say never” to an Oasis reunion. Dave Grohl is set to star in a Super Bowl commercial for Crown Royal Canadian whiskey. Two teasers have been released.  In the first one, Grohl is disgruntled with a list he’s handed while a caption explains “Dave just found out what these objects have in common. Here is a piece of that.  Tune in to the big game on 02.12.23 to find out too.” In the second teaser, Grohl delivers different “thank yous” into a microphone. Of Note:  Get ready for lame complaints about Sarah doing this.  She GAVE the song to the charity, and it’s helped raise millions of dollars and awareness for homeless animals.  So complainers can STFU.  Harry’s House now has a classroom: The spring 2023 semester at Texas State University features a course devoted to Harry Styles. The class, called “Harry Styles and the Cult of Celebrity: Identity, the Internet and European Pop Culture,” filled up just two minutes after registration went live. But it’s not like the students sit around all day watching the video for “As It Was.” “It’s not just that we’re going to study Harry Styles and nothing else,” associate professor Louie Dean Valencia told the news site. “In the same way you could probably learn about The Beatles to understand the 1960s, you could study Harry Styles to learn about the world today.” Valencia, a historian, decided to write a book about Harry during the lockdown in 2020, which led to him developing the class concept. Valencia thinks it’s important for the course to focus on recent history. “A lot of times … [students] don’t know what actually happened in 2010,” the year One Direction formed, Valencia notes. “This gives them the opportunity to have a better idea of what was happening … that they maybe weren’t paying attention to, but … anchoring in subjects that are interesting to them, that they can actually relate to what was going on at the time in their own life.” The first week of the course began with a discussion of the history of rock music and how Harry is following in the footsteps of icons like David Bowie, Prince and Elvis Presley. At the end of a semester, the students will release a podcast series.
