Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age has revealed that he had cancer in 2022. In a new interview with Revolver, Homme didn’t disclose what type of cancer it was, but that he had successful surgery to remove it.  He says, “I never say it can’t get any worse. I never say that, and I wouldn’t advise it. But I do say it can get better. Cancer is just the cherry on top of an interesting time period, you know? I’m extremely thankful that I’ll get through this, and I’ll look back at this as something that’s [messed] up — but will have made me better. I’m cool with that. There’s a lot of stuff I want to do. And there’s a lot of people I want to do that with.” (LINK)

Jennifer Lawrence seems like she’s really fun.  But sometimes, a little fun can go too far.  Like that time she ACCIDENTALLY bullied a classmate named Tyler. She says, quote, “We were pantsing people at a football game, and I accidentally grabbed his underwear.  He got really embarrassed and I feel really bad.  I’m sorry.” It sounds like Jennifer came out of it with more trauma, though, because she admitted that she still Googles him every once in a while, quote, “just to be like, ‘You alright?'”

Treat Williams from “Everwood” and the movie version of “Hair” was killed yesterday while riding his motorcycle in Vermont.  He was 71 years old.  His rep says a car cut him off while he was making a turn.

Pat Sajak is retiring as the host of “Wheel of Fortune”.  The upcoming season in September will be his last, then he’ll serve as a consultant for three years.

If you’ve watched the show, ‘I Think You Should Leave’ on Netflix you know how bizarre and funny it is. Created by former SNL alum, Tim Robinson, the show touches on anything from weird infomercials to how stupid posting photos at brunch with friends can be. Now someone has taken the soul-song bumper music from that show and added it to scenes from Mad Men to emphasize how much certain moments from that show could be an episode of ‘I Think You Should Leave’ (LINK)

The Cardinals’ lost their 16th one-run game of the season, 4-3, in the opener of a three-game series in front the Busch Stadium packed house last night. They had the tying run in scoring position in the eighth and ninth innings. They also had the go-ahead run in scoring position in the eighth. Cards came into the series having lost the final two games of their weekend series with the Cincinnati Reds as part of a stretch that included nine losses in their previous 12 games. Goldschmidt and Dejong both “went yard” and that means DeJong now is tied with Randal Grichuk for the seventh-most career homers at Busch Stadium III. The Denver Nuggets rolled to the first NBA title in their 47 seasons in the league, overcoming a 51-44 halftime deficit to defeat the Miami Heat 94-89. They won it in 5 games and yes that’s the team Kroenke owns. So that means the guy this city loves to hate just got the sports triple crown of trophies. In the NFL, his Los Angeles Rams won the Super Bowl for the 2021 season. In the NHL, his Colorado Avalanche were the 2021-22 champions. Now the Nuggets… Even his Colorado Mammoth club won the 2022 National Lacrosse League crown. Jokic, named the Most Valuable Player of the Finals, had 28 points and 16 rebounds.
