As you probably know, BRITNEY SPEARS posts nude photos pretty regularly. Well, her latest one has people thinking she had quite the Photoshop FAIL. In it she’s standing next to an open door . . . and the part of the door that’s next to her tummy appears warped. Her tummy also appears to be brushed with a smudge tool to appear flatter. Unless the door is . . . oddly-shaped . . . it does appear she did a little fixing. Some of the things people said were: Quote, “Girl you gotta stop the Photoshop. At least don’t have a bent door.” And, quote, “I’ve always been intrigued by doors that don’t form a perfect rectangle. It feels so Picasso-ish.”
Is a 44 year old mad and a 23 year old female weird now for a movie love interest? In the original “Jurassic Park” back in 1993, LAURA DERN and SAM NEILL were love interests . . . even though Laura was 23 and Sam was 44. But things are a little different in Hollywood, and they acknowledged that in a new interview. In an interview with Britain’s “Sunday Times”, Sam said, quote, “Laura was a tender age. I am 20 years older than Laura! Which at the time was a completely appropriate age difference for a leading man and lady! . . .”It never occurred to me until I opened a magazine and there was an article called ‘Old geezers and gals’. People like Harrison Ford and Sean Connery acting with much younger people . . . And there I was, on the list.” Laura didn’t think too much of the age difference at the time, either. She said, quote, “It was only now, when we returned in a moment of cultural awareness about the patriarchy, that I was, like, ‘Wow! We’re not the same age?'”
The new “Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers” movie that hit Disney+ last Friday features a grown-up version of Peter Pan as the villain. But people who maybe know a little too much Disney history are upset about that. They think it’s disrespectful to the memory of BOBBY DRISCOLL, who voiced Peter Pan in the 1953 animated version. In the movie, Peter explains that he became evil after the studio kicked him out because he grew up. And in real life, Bobby was rumored to have been let go by Disney when he hit puberty. Unfortunately, Bobby pretty much hit the skids after that, and died at age 31 from drug-related heart failure. People think the two Peters’ stories are a little too similar, whether it was intentional or no
This weekend’s “Saturday Night Live” season finale was also the finale for four of its major players: Pete Davidson, Kate McKinnon, Aidy Bryant, and Kyle Mooney. Here is Pete Davidsons goodbye during Weekend Update
Thursday night, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH was performing at the Welcome to Rockville Festival in Daytona Beach. Due to the intense heat, singer IVAN MOODY started feeling lightheaded, and almost passed out. Somehow, he ended up tripping over a laser, and it shot him right in the eye. He was hurt badly enough that he had to go to the ER, where they put a patch on it. And he says he could be wearing the patch for a while. The cool part of the story, though, is that Ivan posted videos from the ER, where he met several fans who came from the show with various ailments, like dehydration. And he was awesome with them.
If you’ve got the money . . . and I’m talking pretty serious cash . . . METALLICA is releasing the most badass turntable you’ve ever seen this summer. It’s not just a boring square or rectangle. It’s got jagged edges, kinda like the Metallica logo. It has an S-shaped tone arm, and a transparent platter that your record sits on. Here’s the catch: It costs $1,599. But that doesn’t matter . . . when you see it, you’re totally gonna want it.
Bam Margera broke his wrist and dislocated his elbow in a skateboarding accident. He fell trying a skateboarding trick he hadn’t done in over a year, it ended with his arm bending backward and bones nearly breaking his skin. Bam says he was in an AA meeting across the street from the skatepark. He hopped on his board to try some tricks during a 30-minute break and disaster. Bam it’s the 10th time he’s broken the same wrist, this recovery will be different because he’s looking to stay on the wagon and is still continuing with classes. He doesn’t want to derail that progress, so Bam plans to grin and bear the pain, naturally
If the Blues are going to reach the Western Conference finals, it will be with Ville Husso in goal.
Coach Craig Berube announced Sunday that Jordan Binnington is out for the remainder of the team’s second-round playoff series against the Colorado Avalanche due to a lower-body injury. That puts Husso, the 27-year-old from Helsinki, Finland, back in the spotlight — starting with Monday’s Game 4 at Enterprise Center.
Colorado leads the best-of-seven series, two games to one, following its 5-2 victory Saturday at Enterprise — a game in which Binnington was injured less than seven minutes into the game on a collision instigated by Nazem Kadri. During a chase for a loose puck, Kadri banged into Blues defensemen Calle Rosen at the net front, causing both Rosen and Kadri to crash into Binnington — most noticeably Binnington’s left leg. Kadri was suspended for eight games last season for an illegal check to the head of Blues defenseman Justin Faulk in Game 2 of the teams’ first-round playoff series. At the time, it marked the sixth time in Kadri’s career he had been suspended by the league.
Berube said Binnington would not need surgery, and said it’s possible Binnington could play in the next round if the Blues advance. The team also announced Sunday it had called up Charlie Lindgren from Springfield of the American Hockey League as Husso’s backup.
Husso started 38 games in the regular season, one more than Binnington, and had a breakout year with a 25-7-6 record, 2.56 goals-against average and .919 save percentage. With Binnington struggling, Husso carried the team in January and February. As for Kadri’s role in the injury, it’s obvious the Blues aren’t happy about it, but are trying to regroup and refocus for Game 4. Game tonight is at 8:30pm (LINK)
Pujols is the all-time best hitter in PNC Park at .373 with 32 homers, most by a visiting player and well popped two homers after coming into the game yesterday in Pittsburgh as a designated hitter halfway through the action as he gave Nolan Arenado a rest. Pujols thus passed Hall of Famer Willie Mays for third place all-time in total bases at 6,071. Closer to home, Pujols went into third place ahead of another of his idols, Hall of Famer Stan Musial, for extra-base hits at 1,378. Pujols knows about allowing home runs to position players. A week ago on the ESPN Sunday Night Game of the Week, Pujols, making his pitching debut, allowed two homers and four runs in the ninth inning of a blowout win over the San Francisco Giants. And now Molina knows, too.
After being warmed up by Pujols before the ninth inning after a brief late-game rain shower, Molina, after “quite a bit” of arm twisting with manager Oliver Marmol, made his first major-league pitching appearance. The results were the same. Two homers allowed and four runs. The earned run averages for both are 36.00. Both pitchers were in the 50s and 60s range in miles per hour. Molina said this wasn’t his first time pitching. He had pitched in Puerto Rico last winter and bragged about striking out Kansas City infielder Emmanuel Rivera although giving up a homer. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, the last team to use two position players in winning games was the 1918 Detroit Tigers with Hall of Fame outfielder Ty Cobb and outfielder Bobby Veach. Oh, Cards won 18-4. Cards Vs Bluejays tonight at home 6:45 (LINK)
