Authorities have determined the official cause of death for BOB SAGET, and it’s . . . HEAD TRAUMA. Bob was found unresponsive in his Orlando hotel room on January 9th. He was on tour at the time and had just performed the night before. He was 65 years old. No drugs or alcohol. Bob’s family issued a statement saying, quote, “The authorities have concluded that he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it and went to sleep. No drugs or alcohol were involved.” They added, quote, “As we continue to mourn together, we ask everyone to remember the love and laughter that Bob brought to this world, and the lessons he taught us all: “To be kind to everyone, to let the people you love know you love them, and to face difficult times with hugs and laughter.” (LINK)
DAVE CHAPPELLE hates affordable housing. There’s a big development plan being proposed in his hometown of Yellow Springs, Ohio. It includes single-family homes, duplexes, and townhouses some of which was supposed to be affordable housing. But Dave showed up personally at a city council meeting this week and threatened to pull all his business out of Yellow Springs if they go ahead with that part of it. He did the same thing at a virtual council meeting last December. The council decided NOT to go ahead with the affordable housing part of the plan. Dave is planning to build a restaurant and a comedy club in the area (LINK)
SNOOP DOGG is now the official owner of Death Row Records. He issued a statement saying, quote, “I am thrilled and appreciative of the opportunity to acquire the iconic and culturally significant Death Row Records brand, which has immense untapped future value. “It feels good to have ownership of the label I was part of at the beginning of my career and as one of the founding members . . . I’m looking forward to building the next chapter of Death Row Records.” Death Row was founded in 1991 by Dr. Dre, Suge Knight, The D.O.C., and Dick Griffey. Snoop joined in 1993, and released his debut album “Doggystyle” in November of that year. He’s releasing his new album “B.O.D.R.” on Death Row tomorrow. (The title stands for “Back on Death Row”.) Snoop doesn’t own the music rights to Death Row’s catalog . . . but he’s probably working on that (LINK)
A woman claims Snoop Dogg and his associate Bishop Don Juan forced oral sex on her in 2013, but Snoops people say its BS and she is looking for a payday. He says the woman filed suit right before the Super Bowl, Snoop is performing at halftime, hoping she’d get paid. She says back in 2013 after a show in California Bishop Don Juan offered her a ride home. She says she fell asleep in the car, and woke up not at her house but at Bishop Don Juan’s. She fell asleep at his house. She says she woke up with him pulling out his junk and tried to make her do stuff to it. She says Bishop gave her a dress and told her to put it on so they could go to Snoop’s studio, saying “I want to see if he will make you the weather girl” — for some TV show. She says she went to Snoop’s but had a stomachache so she went to the bathroom, and while she was on the toilet, Snoop walked in made her do things to him while she was on the toilet. And then she says Snoop wouldn’t hire her because she “refused to willingly and enthusiastically give oral sex.” Snoop denies the entire story, saying it’s a pack of lies. He posted an image on his Instagram, calling her a “Gold digger.” She demanded just under $10 million. Snoop said kick rocks. Both Snoop and Bishop Don Juan were sued for unspecified damages.

Past episodes are also on Hulu currently. 20 episodes have been ordered from the original creators, Matt Groening and David X. Cohen. Most of the original voice cast will be returning, like Billy West as Fry, Katey Sagal as Leela, and Lauren Tom as Amy. The only main absence is John DiMaggio as the foul-mouthed robot Bender. There are reports that he’s finalizing a deal, but also that his parts are being recast. If you look at John’s Twitter page, he’s been retweeting fans that said he’s irreplaceable and urging for a deal to be made. So we’ll just have to wait and see. The new season is expected to come out in 2023. All past seasons are currently available to stream on Hulu (LINK)

A U.K. zoo has hired a MARVIN GAYE impersonator to perform hits like “Let’s Get It On” to get their MONKEYS in the mood. He’s even performing INSIDE the enclosure.
The park director said, quote, “We thought it could be a creative way to encourage our females to show a little affection to males that might not have been so lucky in love.” Well, I guess the zoo will find out in the summertime if Marvin’s music helped the cause. A monkey’s pregnancy length varies by species, but is typically four-and-a-half to six months long.

It’s been since the end of January since the Blues have been in action and tonight they are back on the ice at Enterprise Center. The Devils are in town and faceoff is scheduled for 7PM. Some off the ice news yesterday – Craig Berube has signed a 3-year extension with the Blues. Since taking over the team – he is 133-71-30.
I think it’s kind of exciting to talk about upcoming professional soccer matches being scheduled here in St. Louis. St. Louis’ MLS NEXT Pro team released the 2022 preseason schedule. The first match was yesterday. STL CITY 2 was in Tampa and they lost 2-0 to Philadelphia Unions 2. They take on FC Cincinnati on Friday. The team will play their first home preseason match against Memphis 901 at Creve Coeur Soccer Complex on Saturday, Feb. 19. All preseason local games will be free to the public.
Its Super Bowl week so you get a bunch of those questions to upcoming free-agents or guys on the verge of retiring like, “If you could pick your dream spot, where would it be?” Well – Rob Gronkowski has been in the NFL for 11 seasons and in each of those 11 seasons, Tom Brady was his quarterback. With Brady now retired, there’s been a lot of speculation about whether Gronk will join him. During a question-and-answer session on Tuesday, Gronk was asked what quarterback he would like to play with next season and he didn’t hesitate at all when he gave his answer. Gronk’s answer? It’s Joe Burrow, man. I watched him in college. I just love the way he presents himself out on the football field. In the pocket he’s just so calm and he just slings it out on the field.” The Bengals have a good tight end right now, but he’s going to be a free agent, which means the team might be in the market for someone to replace him.
Speaking of NFLers on new teams, before he signed with the Rams in November, Odell Beckham Jr had almost signed with two other teams. And now we are hear which teams those were. He said he was VERY close to signing with the Saints. He said if Jameis Winston was healthy, he might have done it. The other team was the New England Patriots. He said that Bill Belichick called him personally. He said if it was 3 years ago and Tom Brady was on the team, he would have done it instantly.
Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer will not be criminally charged by Los Angeles prosecutors. The ruling concludes a five-month review of the case, which stems from sexual assault allegations made against Bauer by a San Diego woman who sought a restraining order against him in June. The District Attorney’s Office considered and rejected charges of assault by means likely to produce great bodily injury and sodomy of an unconscious person during the first sexual encounter between Bauer and the woman on April 22, and domestic violence during the second sexual encounter on May 16. Bauer, who spent the final three months of the 2021 regular season on administrative leave, still faces a chance for discipline from Major League Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred, who has the ability to hand out suspensions under the domestic violence policy that was previously agreed to jointly with the MLB Players Association.
Next weekend it’s the NBA All-Star weekend and on Saturday it’s the NBA Skills challenge. We now know who will be in the 3 Point contest. I want to see how many of these players you know/have heard of. Desmond Bane, Luke Kennard, Zach Lavine, CJ McCollum, Patty Mills, Karl-Anthony Towns, Fred VanVleet, and Trae Young. As far as the dunk competition is concerned. The participants there are Obi Toppin, Jalen Green, Cole Anthony, and Juan Toscano-Anderson.

Villanova beat the UConn women’s basketball team 72-69 on Wednesday, ending the No. 8 Huskies’ 145-game regular-season conference winning streak that dated back to March 2013 and was the longest in NCAA women’s basketball history. Counting conference tournament games, the streak was 169 games. UConn’s last loss to a conference foe in the regular season came at Notre Dame, which was followed by a loss to the Fighting Irish in the championship game of the 2013 Big East tournament.
Olympic history is filled with examples of athletes trying to get an edge, but few could have predicted so much controversy at the 2022 Winter Olympics because of baggy clothing. Five athletes were disqualified for the ski jumping mixed team competition in Beijing because of loose-fitting clothing. Not using the correct apparel could give competitors a significant advantage in ski jumping, especially if it catches the wind. Someone using a wingsuit would probably set world records if allowed. The latest disqualifications were still unprecedented at this level, especially after the same outfits were already cleared a day earlier.
The U.S. Olympic team had a chance to add to their medal count last night. So how’d we do? Nathan Chen took home the gold in men’s figure skating. He set a world record earlier this week with his short program and just needed to do well in last night’s free skate to take home a medal. But he was essentially flawless and easily secured the gold. And he wasn’t the only star for Team USA. Chloe Kim also defended her gold in women’s halfpipe. That helped the U.S. in the overall medal count . . . we’re currently in fifth place in the standings with 9 medals, including three golds. Here’s the latest leaderboard we saw.
- Norway: 12. . . 5 gold, 3 silver, 4 bronze.
- Austria: 12. . . 4 gold, 4 silver, 4 bronze.
- Russia: 11 . . . 2 gold, 3 silver, 6 bronze.
- Canada: 10. . . 1 gold, 3 silver, 6 bronze.
5. USA: 9 . . . 3 gold, 5 silver, 1 bronze
