Four people were arrested after they allegedly tried to break in to Dr. Dre‘s home while he was hospitalized on Monday following a brain aneurysm. The arrests came at 10 p.m. and LAPD can confirm that the the four arrested were booked on attempted burglary charges. A handful of people were hiking over some hill to get into the property. Infrared cameras got them. They were busted by six private security took off. Police said they ran up a hill and jumped into a white SUV, tried to get away thru the neighborhood streets but it ended pretty quickly. They had a backpack full of burglary tools that included saws and crowbars in the SUV. It appeared that nothing was taken in the incident.
Also broken into was the tiny little shack of a home where Johnny Depp keeps HIS stuff. A supposed homeless female broke into Mr Depp’s place in the Hollywood Hills over the weekend. The security system popped on and called the cops. She takes off but they found her and also connected her to another brake in around the area. $16,000.00 worth of bracelets were stolen!!!

Ozzy Osbornes just released an album in February called Ordinary Man. He is set to release more music soon. He posted over the weekend that he is in the studio working on another record. The guy who produced Ordinary Man’s, Andrew Watt, said Ozzy had Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo and Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins in the studio to work on some new music, too. No one in Ozzy’s camp has said anything about longtime Ozzy guitarist Zakk Wylde returning to the fold, however.

So far, Major League Baseball has said that spring training camps in Florida and Arizona are to begin Feb. 17 or so and that the regular season will start on April 1. Cardinals reliever Andrew Miller says he has no reason to believe otherwise. Miller, an associate player representative for the players’ association and part of that body’s executive subcommittee, told the Post-Dispatch Wednesday that “the expectation is that we stick to the schedule that’s out there. We got through the season last year. Other sports are successfully playing their seasons. Prepare to arrive on Feb. 17 and go from there.” But the longer it goes without much more than a statement from MLB, there still is a feeling that the camps and season would be delayed in starting due largely to health concerns at various levels. So we shall see.
The Mizzou/Illinois rivalry may have gotten a bit more juice to it Wednesday.
Multiple reports circulating confirm that Missouri defensive coordinator Ryan Walters has accepted the same job in Bret Bielema’s new staff at Illinois.
Walters started at Mizzou as a safeties coach in 2015, and has been the team’s defensive coordinator for the past two seasons.
The Tigers allowed an average of 32.3 points per game in their 10-game SEC schedule in 2020. That was ninth in the conference. Bielema was hired at Illinois after former head coach Lovie Smith was fired following a 2-6 record in their 2020 Big Ten season. Missouri and Illinois are set to renew their rivalry on the football field in 2026.
The Blues did their first power play work of training camp Wednesday morning, and here’s what it looked like: Unit No. 1 — Torey Krug, Mike Hoffman, Ryan O’Reilly, David Perron and Brayden Schenn. Unit No. 2 —Tyler Bozak, Vince Dunn, Colton Parayko, Jaden Schwartz and Robert Thomas. Notable by his absence on either unit was defenseman Justin Faulk. For the first time in camp, the Blues split their roster into what could best be described as a “varsity” group and a prospects group during two morning practice sessions at Centene Community Ice Center. The first group consisted of 25 players, all of whom are NHL regulars who will compete for the 23 spots on the opening-day roster. The second group consisted of 15 players, many of which will compete for spots on the taxi squad or play in the American Hockey League — when and if the AHL gets going.
On Day 7 of his quarantine, Travis Ford spent a chunk of time reviewing the status of every St. Louis University player in regard to the timing of their return to the court. He found out that answers weren’t as clear as hoped. Because quarantine periods differ based on each individual’s scenario, the SLU basketball coach remained uncertain Wednesday when the Billikens would be able to return to practice or play another game. SLU announced positive COVID-19 results Dec. 30. Ford said the prospect of a full team practice after 14 days — roughly the middle of next week — is unlikely and at least one more game is likely to be postponed. The Billikens already have had their first four Atlantic 10 games postponed. The program’s Tier 1 personnel, which include players, coaches, staff and managers, have to remain in quarantine for differing periods depending on factors such as date of a positive test, symptoms and exposure. SLU’s two scheduled road games this week were postponed along with two home games last week. Ford said he doesn’t think a game against Davidson on Jan. 15 will be played.
