The man that brought David Letterman on stage for years has passed away. Alan Kalter was the announcer for the Late Show With David Letterman on CBS. Kalter died on Monday at the age of 78. He was Letterman’s announcer from 1995 until Letterman left CBS in 2015. Kalter was a funny foil for some of Letterman’s bits. In response to Kalter’s death, Letterman said when announcer Bill Wendell retired, Alan’s was the first and only voice they listened to. A very sad day, but many great memories.” He also was the announcer for “To Tell the Truth,” “The $25,000 Pyramid,” “The Money Maze” and “The $100,000 Question.
Jeff Tremaine, the big toe of the “Jackass” movies for years now says he loves Bam Margera like a brother, but seeing Bam’s vices hasn’t always been pretty. Jeff’s responding to Bam’s lawsuit over his firing (LINK) from the upcoming ‘Jackass 4’. He says when Bam’s intoxicated he’s a danger to himself and others … and he is right when he says THIS is what we are talking about NOT Jackass 4. Bam claims he was forced to sign a sobriety agreement that he claims amounted to psychological torture and got the boot (LINK) when he didn’t live up to the conditions. Jeff says Bam voluntarily signed the sobriety commitment (LINK) agreement but stopped doing the wellness program in July 2020 and began taking illicit amphetamines. He says all in the Jackass crew tried to find a way for Bam to be in the movie, but Bam’s wellness coach shut them down … and Paramount Pictures ultimately said they were done. Bam says he’s back in treatment (LINK) now, and is trying to get well for his son and his career.
Former Country, Current POP singer MEGHAN TRAINOR and her husband DARYL SABARA have gone to the other side. When they built their home, they had a twist for the contractor in the bathroom. SIDE-BY-SIDE TOILETS. She says, quote, “a lot of time in the middle of the night when we’re with the baby we’ve got to pee at the same time.” I shall answer your questions by saying yes number 1 all the time and number 2 twice so far (LINK)
The latest product to come from GWYNETH PALTROW and her Goop team is a female supplement called D.T.F . . . and, yes, it does indeed stand for “down to [eff]”. The supplement is meant to boost women’s sexual desire, arousal, and mood. Gwyneth said in the press release, quote, “We’re not ashamed to say we wanted help shifting our sex drive into gear . . . everyday stress and anxiety, hormonal fluctuations and fatigue can all impact female libido and sexual health . . .”It’s not just about sex . . . It’s about supporting our pursuit of more pleasure, more often. And yes, we chose to name it D.T.F. It can be a joke we share.” D.T.F. is in capsule form . . . it has to be taken twice a day for at least two months. And don’t worry . . . it’s vegan, gluten- and hormone-free. A 30-day supply is $55.
I think I mentioned this but SNL’s first show of the season with Owen Wilson and Kacey Musgraves was a ratings disaster with just 4.9 million total viewers in comparison to 8.2 million viewers a year ago. They were down 47% with people between the ages of 25-54 and down 50% with people between the ages of 18-49. Now last year Chris Rock was the host so yea. This weekend its Kim Kardashian and Halsey as the musical guest.
Maybe ratings are better if they tell us this stuff ahead of time. If you saw KACEY MUSGRAVES perform (LINK) “Justified” on “Saturday Night Live”, you witnessed history. She really was naked, which was a first for “SNL”. (Yes, she was wearing boots, but let’s not get technical.) Here’s what her publicist told “Variety (LINK)“, quote, “She was nude. Precautions were taken, and this was the first time it’s happened on the show.” Her rep also confirmed that the audience didn’t see anything, because she was shielded from view by a sheet as the performance was set up. So the Reddit (LINK) people who were in the crowd that night had it right. In case you missed it, and want to keep it that way. She was sitting on a stool with her legs crossed, and her body was blocked by her guitar and strap. The lighting was low, and she was only filmed from the front.

The JONAS BROTHERS are now selling . . . popcorn. It’s called “Rob’s Backstage Popcorn” and it’s actually a secret recipe from the dad of their former bass player. He would make this sweet and savory popcorn and bring it to for the band to enjoy backstage at shows. NICK said, quote, “We asked Rob, ‘Would it be okay if we launched this and gave the experience to our fans?’ and he said, ‘Let’s do it!'” The JoBros have started selling it at concerts this year, but have now expanded to online. JOE said, quote, “It’s rare to find something that has that balance of flavor . . . It’s so tasty and flavorful so we thought it should be on everyone’s shelf at home.” The popcorn is vegan, GMO-free, and gluten-free. You can buy a pack of four for 20 bucks . . . just head over to EatRobs.com (LINK).
JUSTIN BIEBER is teaming up with a California pot company called Palms to launch a line of pre-rolled JOINTS. They’re called Peaches Pre-Rolls by Palm . . . a nod to Justin’s song “Peaches”, which includes the line, “I get my peaches out in Georgia, I get my weed from California.” Each purchase includes a decorative box and lighter, and profits are going to two pot related charities: One that advocates for criminal justice reform for people with cannabis convictions, and another that wants to expand medicinal cannabis for veterans. Pot has been very, very good to Justin and his mental health, and he hopes to destigmatize it. He says, quote, “Weed was something that I felt people tried to make me feel bad for enjoying. “But I’ve now found a place in my life for weed products that have been beneficial in my human experience.”

The NHL is looking into whether San Jose Sharks winger Evander Kane submitted a fake COVID-19 vaccination card. Kane was the subject of an inquiry into a potential violation of the league’s COVID-19 protocols. Neither the Sharks nor the NHL provided a statement to Perez about the allegation. While NHL players aren’t required to get the COVID-19 vaccine, they aren’t exempt from Canada’s travel restrictions. The league’s protocols (LINK) outline how unvaccinated players could be denied entry or subject to quarantine periods when traveling to the country. Beyond any consequences Kane might face from the NHL, purchasing or using a fake COVID-19 vaccination card is punishable by up to five years in prison in the United States. Using one while attempting to enter Canada carries a fine of up to $750,000 and as much as a six-month prison sentence. Kane had already been the subject of an NHL investigation. On Sept. 22, league officials cleared the 30-year-old after his estranged wife, Anna, said (LINK) he had bet on Sharks games and intentionally threw games for gambling purposes.
With the NBA preseason underway and the team’s regular season opener fast approaching, the Nets are preparing for the possibility of All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving being a part-time player this season. Irving’s continued resistance to getting the COVID-19 vaccine has the Nets “unclear” on his plans, and the team’s hope for Irving to eventually get the vaccine is going away. Brooklyn is now readying itself for Irving to be unavailable for home games and practices for the foreseeable future. At the team’s media day last week, Irving said: “I like to keep that stuff private. I’m a human being first. Obviously I’m not able to be present there today, but that doesn’t mean I’m putting any limits on the future for me being able to join the team.”
The Jacksonville Jaguars opened up to the press about Urban Meyer’s actions this past weekend. Yesterday, rumors started swirling that the Jaguars were considering firing Meyer’s after he skipped the team flight home, stayed in Ohio, and misbehaved with some young college girl at a bar in Columbus that was NOT his wife. Jaguars owner Shad Khan released the following statement: “I have addressed this matter with Urban. Specifics of our conversation will be held in confidence. What I will say is his conduct last weekend was inexcusable. I appreciate Urban’s remorse, which I believe is sincere. Now, he must regain our trust and respect.” Looks like Meyer gets to keep his job, we don’t know yet about his wife. Urban Meyer’s said he was “stupid” to put himself in that situation.
In an unexpected move, the Cowboys have reportedly released linebacker Jaylon Smith four weeks into the season. Smith, 26, was the 34th overall pick in the 2016 draft. From 2018 to Week 4 of this season, Smith played in all 68 games for the Cowboys with 56 starts, totaling 516 tackles, nine sacks, five fumble recoveries and two interceptions. It officially was confirmed yesterday that it all goes down Friday, Nov. 26, the day after Thanksgiving, at the Wynn Golf Club on the Las Vegas Strip. This biggest golf feud of the year is heading for prime time. Top of Form
The match is scheduled for 12 holes of match-play format and will tee off at 3PM St Louis time. The Match will be televised by TNT and simulcast on TBS, TruTV and HLN. The 12-hole format is being used because a source said it will be the most impactful. The announcement returns the Match to its roots — the first Match was staged in November 2018, when Phil Mickelson defeated Tiger Woods in a $9 million showdown at Las Vegas’s Shadow Creek. This is the first Match-series event that won’t include Mickelson, but sources say Mickelson will almost certainly be involved in some capacity. DeChambeau and Aaron Rodgers teamed up to defeat Mickelson and Tom Brady in July in the latest installment of the Match.
