Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen are officially DONE.  They each issued statements Friday saying all the typical things:  It was amicable, they grew apart, they wish each other the best, and will continue to do what’s best for the kids. Obviously, neither one of them suggested it had anything to do with Tom unretiring and returning to the NFL, but that’s what the tabloids want us to believe.  And until a better reason presents itself, it seems pretty logical. So now we turn to what’s next.  Or, in this case, WHO’S next.  Well, the bookies at BetOnline.ag calculated the odds. Here’s the rundown. For Gisele, not surprisingly, Pete Davidson is her next most likely match, at +1200.  He’s followed by Jason MomoaLeonardo DiCaprioJohn Mayer, and Brazilian soccer stud Neymar. Sadly, Donald Trump has virtually no chance.  His odds are +100,000. You can probably scratch Leo off that list, too.  Gisele is a positively ANCIENT 42 years old.  It’s shocking he was even considered, let alone making the Top 3. If the oddsmakers are right, Tom’s next love connection will be with Taylor Swift.  The odds are +1400 that he will be the subject of one of her bitter breakup songs in the near future. She’s followed by two of Gisele’s fellow supermodels, Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosia. . . then Kim Kardashian and Halle Berry.

Speaking of Pete Davidson…Pete allegedly ‘had a meltdown’ on the set of his new series Bupkis on Thursday evening. The 28-year-old actor, who made a name for himself after seven years on Saturday Night Live, reportedly ‘threw two candles through his trailer and damaged a second truck’s windshield,’.  ‘He also threw coffee on the walls and folded a TV in half inside his trailer,’ the source added. Following the incident, he is said to have ‘been given some time off to get his s**t together and focus on himself.’ The details remain unclear regarding what instigated his temper, however the star was not seen on set filming on Friday following the outburst.

Here’s an interesting bit of celebrity trivia for you:  When Julia Roberts was born, her parents’ hospital bill was paid by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his wife Coretta Scott King. Julia’s parents used to run a theater school in Atlanta, and one day Coretta called them and asked if her kids could join.  It was the ’60s, and thanks to segregation at the time, it was hard for her to find a school that would accept them. But Julia’s parents did, and they became friends with the Kings.  Then, when the Roberts needed help paying their maternity bill, the Kings stepped up.

TMZ prematurely reported the death of rock pioneer Jerry Lee Lewis last week, but they were only off by a couple days.  Lewis died Friday of natural causes at his home in Mississippi.  He was 87. Lewis started as a session musician, playing piano for acts like Johnny Cash . . . before releasing his two biggest hits, “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On” and “Great Balls of Fire”, in 1957. That same year, his career hit a snag when he married his 13-year-old cousin Myra Gale Brown.  They divorced in 1970. But he soldiered on, and experienced a career resurgence when Dennis Quaid played him in the 1989 movie “Great Balls of Fire!”  Winona Ryder played Myra. Quaid issued a statement calling Jerry, quote, “a Christian, an American icon and the greatest piano player in the world.” Jerry was married seven times and had six kids.  He also had two famous cousins:  Country singer Mickey Gilley and televangelist Jimmy Swaggart. Jerry was elected to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the inaugural class of 1986.

Celebrities are mourning the loss of Jerry. Elton John paid tribute by thanking him for his “trailblazing inspiration.” “Without Jerry Lee Lewis, I wouldn’t have become who I am today. He was groundbreaking and exciting, and he pulverized the piano,” he wrote on Twitter. “A brilliant singer too. Thank you for your trailblazing inspiration and all the rock ‘n’ roll memories. #RIP.”   Kid Rock wrote that he will, “FOREVER cherish my time with Jerry Lee on and off the stage.” Toby Keith remembered his friend saying, “The Killer Jerry Lee Lewis passed on today. What an honor it was to be his friend His passing closes out an explosive era of American music. Last man standing baby!!!” “Sadly, One of the pioneers of rock ‘n’ roll has passed. A rebel to the end. RIP, Jerry Lee Lewis,” Gene Simmons tweeted.

Dwayne Johnson’s portrayal of Black Adam reigns supreme at theaters.  The DC Comics/Warner Brothers movie won the box office race for the second week in a row.  Black Adam brought in $27.7 million over Halloween weekend.  Ticket To Paradise, Prey For The Devil, Smile, and Halloween Ends round out the top five films.

A second WandaVision spinoff series focusing on Paul Bettany’s Vision is in the works at Marvel Studios for Disney+. Titled Vision Quest, the series, which is opening a writers room next week, will be about Vision (Bettany) trying to regain his memory and humanity. While the focus is on Vision, word is there is a possibility for Wanda to appear, which would make sense given how interconnected the two characters’ stories are in the MCU. Like with the other WandaVision spinoff, the greenlighted series Agatha: House of Harkness headlined by Kathryn Hahn, Vision Quest is overseen by the same WandaVision creator.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences bylaws state that for a movie to be eligible for an Oscar, it must play in a “commercial motion picture theater” in one of six major cities. Weird: The Al Yankovic Story is unfortunately is not Oscar-qualified, as it’s going straight to The Roku Channel, but “Weird Al” Yankovic is pleading like he’s Lucy asking Ricky to bring her to the Tropicana for the streaming service to reconsider. “I’ve been begging, begging, the Roku Channel for months to make it eligible, which all that would involve is letting it play in a theater in L.A. for one week. They do not want do that because — here’s the logic; I don’t quite agree with it — they said that they would rather have a Creative Arts Emmy than an Oscar, because they’re in the TV business, not the music movie business. Believe me, I’ve tried, but they’ve put their foot down, so it’s not actually going be Oscar-eligible.” Weird: The Al Yankovic Story hits the Roku Channel on November 4.

Madonna was certainly feeling herself this past weekend, posting some topless selfies for her fans to enjoy heading into the weekend. Madonna took to her IG account to share the sexy snaps … carefully placing some emojis over her nipples. Of course, she’s gotta be careful to censor herself on the platform, hoping not to piss off Mark Zuckerberg, it seems. It appears Madonna is sending a message with her use of nipple-covering emojis … one breast has a candy emoji and the other has a money bag emoji … and she posted another topless selfie with the phrase “went from candy to money” superimposed over her nipples.

Over the weekend Henry Cavill announced he’s leaving “The Witcher” after three seasons.  He didn’t give a reason why, but maybe it’s due to a scheduling conflict since he’s returning to the DC Universe as Superman. His character Geralt of Rivia will be played by Liam Hemsworth for Season 4.  In an Instagram post, Henry said, quote, “As with the greatest of literary characters, I pass the torch with reverence for the time spent embodying Geralt and enthusiasm to see Liam’s take on this most fascinating and nuanced of men. Liam, good sir, this character has such a wonderful depth to him, enjoy diving in and seeing what you can find.” But it’ll be a while until we see Liam as Geralt.  Season 3 doesn’t come out until summer of 2023, and there’s no word when to expect Season 4.

Simon Cowell admitted he was a nightmare child because he started drinking and smoking cigarettes at only eight years old.  But his antics didn’t stop there.  In an interview with “The Sun”, he said, quote, “I once nearly burned the house down.  I was trying to prove to my brother that Father Christmas wasn’t real, so I found the costume and set fire to the beard.” Simon said he dropped the beard on a sofa and sent the whole room up in flames.  He also stole his dad’s car when he was 10 and, of course, crashed it, just like he would with his e-bikes as an adult. Oh, and he was arrested when he was 12 for pointing a pea-shooting gun at a bus driver.

To absolutely no one’s surprise, Taylor Swift’s “Midnights” had a MASSIVE debut week. It sold almost 1.6 million copies, which is the most albums sold in a week since Adele moved 3.5 million copies of “25” back in December of 2015. Obviously, “Midnights” is the #1 album on the Billboard 200.  It also broke 73 records around the world. It made Taylor the only artist to have five albums debut with more than a million units sold in their first week. It sold 575,000 copies on vinyl, which is the largest week for any album since tracking began in 1991. It broke Spotify’s records for most global streams in a five-day period and most single day streams. The song “Anti-Hero” broke the record for most song streams on the global Spotify chart, with 17.4 million.

Dolly Parton wants to reunite Led Zeppelin for a ‘Stairway To Heaven’ cover on the new rock album she’s promised to make. Earlier this year, Parton made headlines when she was nominated for the 2022 Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame, but asked to be taken out of consideration for the honor. In her explanation, Parton said that the nomination, which she eventually admitted she would accept if voted in, had “inspired me to put out a hopefully great rock ‘n’ roll album at some point in the future, which I have always wanted to do!” In a new interview, Dolly said that she wants to record a new cover of ‘Stairway To Heaven’ for the album, and to reunite Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page and Robert Plant in the process. Of her attempts to get Led Zeppelin back together, Parton added that her husband “did not like it” when she revealed plans to cover ‘Stairway To Heaven’, saying: “But I’m going to redo that really on the money. I did it kind of bluegrass-style when I did it; but when I do the rock album, I’m going to actually re-record it – and do it more true to the regular record.

Sports Report 1

Over the weekend, Nolan Arenado, who had the ability to become a free agent in less than two weeks, notified the Cardinals that he will not opt out of his existing contract. He will remain with the team through at least 2027. Arenado’s decision gives the Cardinals one of the best all-around players in the league, an elite dynamo at third base, and a middle-order presence to count on into his mid-30s. Arenado, 31, is coming off a season that featured a handful of career highs and positioned him for a 10th consecutive Gold Glove award and a top-five finish in National League MVP voting. As the Cardinals’ cleanup hitter, Arenado hit .293 with a .533 slugging percentage and an .891 OPS. He had his second consecutive 100-RBI season for the Cardinals. Arenado has $144 million guaranteed remaining on his contract. His salary for the coming season is $35 million. The Rockies have agreed to cover $16 million of his 2023 salary as part of the trade, and $6 million of his salary will be deferred to payments that begin in 2023 and last until 2041.

The contract includes a full no-trade clause. Arenado won his fifth Field Bible award at third base this past week, and he is a finalist for Rawlings’ National League Gold Glove award at third base. On Tuesday he’ll learn if he’s won an unprecedented 10th consecutive to start his career. Ten Gold Gloves at third will tie Mike Schmidt for the second-most all-time. Pay roll is going up! (LINK)

The Blues squandered a two-goal lead against Montreal on Saturday and gave up five unanswered goals in 10 minutes, 25 seconds for a 7-4 loss. That’s the fourth loss in a row. Here’s what Coach Berube said about what went wrong for the Blues Saturday. All in all they’ve had little practice last week so that was the focus yesterday. Blues play LA tonight here in St. Louis with a start time of 7pm.

When MLB announced its umpiring crew for the World Series between the Astros and Phillies, there was a lot to like about the selections (LINK). In the biggest games — with a championship on the line — you want the best umpires working the series. So, the inclusion of umpire Pat Hoberg — the most accurate ump in baseball — was an absolute must.

In Saturday’s Game 2, Hoberg showed exactly why he’s the best, and he made history in the progress.

According to Umpire Scorecards, Hoberg made World Series history by calling a perfect game behind the plate. Out of the 129 taken pitches in the game, Hoberg made the correct call on every single one of them. Considering that pitchers are throwing with more velocity and movement than ever before, that is nothing short of a legendary performance from Hoberg in his first World Series assignment.

He saved his best performance for the biggest moment of his umpiring career, and MLB fans were more than happy to recognize the accomplishment. More umps should be like Hoberg. Ya know perfect…

The 2022 World Series shifts to Philadelphia for tonight’s Game 3 with the series tied 1-1. Noah Syndergaard gets the start for the Phillies. The Astros counter with Lance McCullers Jr. in a battle of righthanders. First pitch is set for 7:03 p.m. Central.

You guys see this Pujols bat stuff going around? The Houston Astros‘ Martin Maldonado asked Pujols to send him some bats prior to the start of the World Series. He used the slugger’s model in Game 1 and was later informed it was not a legal bat. Reporters were discussing the exchange of bats from Pujols to Maldonado ahead of Game 1, so it certainly wasn’t some great behind-closed-doors conspiracy (LINK) (LINK)

You guys see this fight or brawl or attack on Saturday after this Michigan Football game? In the moments after Michigan’s 29-7 victory (LINK) Saturday night, a group of Michigan State players punched, kicked and slammed around Michigan defensive back Ja’Den McBurrows as the teams headed toward their respective locker rooms. This was no fight. This was an attack, McBurrows, minus his helmet, vastly outnumbered, with nary a Spartan seemingly trying to stop the violence. It was not pretty bad. It was all bad. It’s ridiculous. A group of guys wearing helmets beating on someone without one is weak and pathetic. Then there is a second video of an undefined MSU player swinging his helmet at Michigan defensive back Gemon Green, that is in its own way even more shocking. Welp, Sunday night, MSU immediately suspended four defensive players — Tank BrownKhary CrumpAngelo Grose and Zion Young — until the investigations are complete. 2 of these guys are key starters.

Law enforcement is involved. So is the Big Ten and the leadership of both Michigan State and Michigan. Considering the players were in uniform — with big numbers and names on their back — figuring out who all is who won’t be too challenging. There are also security cameras above both locker rooms which should provide additional evidence (LINK) (VIDEO)
