WILLIE NELSON wrote a letter to President Biden asking him to make the “High Holidays” an official National Holiday. There’s also a petition at Change.org. If you’re not familiar, Willie and his fellow marijuana advocates consider April 20th through the 29th as the “High Holidays.” April 20th is the infamous 4/20 . . . and April 29th is Willie’s birthday. (He’ll be 88.) Now, if you’re already on board with this, then you probably know about Willie’s “first annual cannabis convention.” It’s a virtual event called Luck Summit: Planting the Seed, and it’s going down April 26th through the 29th. NATHANIEL RATELIFF is the host and there will be performances, cooking demonstrations, comedy routines, and other weed-related stuff. They hope to “destigmatize, educate, and promote cannabis culture.” Tickets start at $10, and proceeds will benefit something called the HeadCount Cannabis Voter Project, which is a pro-cannabis organization.

Fans of “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood” might appreciate this: The Pittsburgh house where FRED ROGERS lived in the late-’50s and early-’60s is on the market. The asking price is $850,000. While Fred was living here, he was attending the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and worked as a composer, organist, and puppeteer on “The Children’s Corner”. And, if it’s any more enticing, he also had sex at the house . . . REPEATEDLY. (???) At least we’re 95% sure of that. Fred and his wife Joanne had their two sons at that time . . . James, who was born in 1959 and John, who was born in 1961. – Zillow
Sorry for the reminder but there’s a “Home Alone” reboot in the works at Disney+, and it’s almost done. KENAN THOMPSON is in it, and he says, quote, “It was a long shoot . . . [it] got shut down and came back around because of the pandemic and stuff . . . but I think they’re getting very close to finishing it.” To their credit, they’re not just copying the plot of the original. This one stars Ellie Kemper and Rob Delaney as, quote, “Adults who go to war with a kid who has stolen a priceless heirloom in order to save their home from financial ruin.” The kid is played by Archie Yates from “JoJo Rabbit”. He was JoJo’s friend Yorki. – EW
Actor JALEEL WHITE of Family Matters is getting into the weed game in real life. He’s launching “ItsPurpl,” a new cannabis line he developed in a collaboration with 710 Labs. In an interview with “Forbes“, Jaleel said that it’s loosely based on the bootleg “Purple Urkel” strain, which has been using Urkel’s image for years. He said, quote, “The thing that always stood out to me was there no clear brand leader for fire purple weed. It made no sense to me, that no [one] of significance had claimed this lane, so why not me?” He helped develop the “ItsPurpl” line during the pandemic, and he loves how it turned out. Quote, “To smoke the end result, from such a quality pod, has been surreal. “I feel a little bit like Willy Wonka, the flavor came out so similar to grape candy.” – Forbes
If I say the name Sally Struthers who do you think of I think the daughter on archie Bunker and I think Save the Children. Desolte living conditions and hungry kids. She did that for about 35 years. Notice she stopped? Know why? Not covid. She had flown into Uganda on a small plane to meet one of the kids she was sponsoring.
“They brought [the child] from his village, which was quite a few hours away. He had traveled to come meet his sponsor, to meet me, and I made some commercials with him, and I played with him and I brought him toys and balloons,” Struthers said. “Well, a roving band of guerrilla warfare guys came out of the bushes and asked [him] where he was from, and he named his village, which was far away, and they decided that we had kidnapped him, and they were going to shoot all of us.” The priest, who happened to speak the same language as the men, instructed Struthers to back away, without turning her back to them, and they all survived. “I thought, ‘I’ve been on so many little airplanes that could have crashed and in so many horrible situations.’ I came back from one of my trips overseas with hepatitis.” Struthers said. “I thought, ‘What am I doing? I’ve got a child, a real-life child of my own, and I’m gonna make her an orphan. I can’t do this anymore.'”

On Friday, two judges ruled that most of the plaintiffs suing Watson must identify themselves. In his statement on Tuesday, Buzbee said that while Watson “may now claim he had consent to do what he did” to these women, “in their minds he didn’t have consent.”
