The 13th installment in the “Halloween” franchise, “Halloween Ends”, comes out October 14th. And “Ticket to Paradise” with George Clooney and Julia Roberts will be released on October 21st.
3. And the “BET Hip Hop Awards” will air this Tuesday.
4. And finally, the holidays: Everybody knows Halloween is on the 31st. But there’s also International Coffee Day and International Music Day tomorrow . . . National Taco Day and National Vodka Day on Tuesday . . .
National Be Nice Day on Wednesday . . . International Beer and Pizza Day on the 9th . . . Indigenous Peoples’ Day on October 10th . . . National No Bra Day on the 13th . . . National Cat Day on the 29th . . . and National Text Your Ex Day on October 30th.
Just because Bruce Willis retired after his aphasia diagnosis, doesn’t mean we’ve seen the last of him. Well, sorta. Last year he sold the rights to his image to an artificial intelligence company called Deepcake. It’s unclear if he did this after learning of his diagnosis or before. So basically there’s a “digital twin” of Bruce that can be used to make new film projects. But his estate does get a final say in what’s done with it. To make A.I. Bruce, Deepcake used content from “Die Hard” and “The Fifth Element” . . . so he looks how he did in those movies. At the time, Bruce said, quote, “I liked the precision of my character. It’s a great opportunity for me to go back in time. I could communicate, work and participate in filming, even being on another continent.”
Steve-O has done more than a few ridiculous stunts, and he regrets NOTHING. Well, that’s not exactly true. There ARE some stunts he’s ashamed of. He says, quote, “Wasting first responders time, those are gonna be the stunts I regret.” Probably the dumbest thing he ever did was mess around with ROCKET FUEL, which resulted in severe burns and skin graft surgery on 15% of his body. He says, quote, “My overdeveloped need for attention outweighs my desire for comfort. I didn’t go to the hospital for five days and it was the most horrific five days of my life.” But he adds, quote, “I absolutely don’t regret that.” Steve is hyping his new book, “A Hard Kick in the Nuts”.
Trevor Noah announced yesterday that he’s leaving “The Daily Show” after seven years. But he didn’t say when that’ll be. He said, quote, “It’s been one of my greatest challenges [and] one of my greatest joys. I’ve loved trying to figure out how to make people laugh even when the stories are particularly [crappy] on the worst days . . .
“I’m not disappearing, don’t worry. If I owe you money, I’ll still pay you.” Trevor said he misses doing stand-up comedy, traveling to other countries, and learning other languages. So it sounds like he already has a plan for what’s next. Comedy Central said in a statement, quote, “We are grateful to Trevor for our amazing partnership over the past seven years. With no timetable for his departure, we’re working together on next steps . . .”As we look ahead, we’re excited for the next chapter in the 25+ year history of ‘The Daily Show’ as it continues to redefine culture through sharp and hilarious social commentary, helping audiences make sense of the world around them.”
In related Trevor news, he was seen kissing Dua Lipa on Wednesday night in New York City.
On Monday’s episode of “Live! With Kelly and Ryan”, Kim Kardashian claimed she hasn’t had a gray hair yet. Well, she LIED. Kim actually admitted to having a gray hair back in 2018, when she was 37 years old. And guess where she admitted it? ON “Live! With Kelly and Ryan”. More recently, there’s an episode of “The Kardashians” where Kim is getting her hair and makeup done for “Saturday Night Live”, and her stylist finds a gray hair, which he offers to pluck. Kim says, quote, “‘SNL’ stress is getting to me.” That happened in October of 2021.
The Byers’ family home from “Stranger Things” sold for twice the listed price. The new owners plan on turning it into a Halloween attraction. The series takes place in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana. But the house is actually in Fayetteville, Georgia. It was listed at $300,000. It’s 1,846 square-feet. 3 bedroom, 2 bath, and in need of “full rehab.” It’s also on a 6.17 acre lot, so there’s lots of parking for haunted house customers. Do they know they won’t be allowed to use “Stranger Things” in any advertising? That’s the case with the roller rink in Albuquerque that was featured last season. Discuss.
NEW MUSIC OUT THIS WEEKEND:
Entergalactic
The End, So Far
Crazy Times Sammy Hagar and the Circle
This Machine Still Kills Fascists Dropkick Murphys
Speaking of new music we have something new to check out from Godsmack. Godsmack has delivered a new single, “Surrender”, the first new tune from the band in four years. The song gives fans a taste of what to expect from the band’s upcoming eighth studio album, which doesn’t have a title or release date at this time. Godsmack front man Sully Erna says “Surrender” is “a very cut and dry song. It’s simply about the exhaustion we can all feel in relationships at times from the redundancy of fighting with each other.” Erna also said last April that this new album could be the very last one from Godsmack.
Also – we all remember the song Dammit by Blink 182 right? Here is a little snippet if you forgot. The band Ballyhoo! Released their cover of the song today…it’s got a little reggae feel to it. It’s rad.
A new box set celebrating the 12 months leading up to David Bowie’s 1971 album, ‘Hunky Dory’, will arrive on Black Friday. ‘Divine Symmetry’ contains 48 unreleased tracks, including demos, alternate versions and live recordings, a 100-page hardback photo book and a 60-page replica of Bowie’s notebook, loaded with set lists, handwritten lyrics, recording notes and costume drawings.
Bruce Springsteen announced on Thursday that he would be releasing a covers album of soul and R&B classics. Called “Only the Strong Survive,” the 51-track collection features covers of songs made famous by Aretha Franklin, The Commodores, and more! Springsteen also shared a cover of the song “Do I Love You (Indeed I Do)” as part of the announcement. “Only the Strong Survive” will be released on November 11.
Avenged Sevenfold have finally wrapped up recording their next album! Drummer Brooks Wackerman shared the news in an Instagram post with a photo of the band with the album’s producer and a simple caption reading, “done!” This new album will feature a 78-piece orchestra that Wackerman said in a previous photo makes it “unlike anything we’ve ever released.” Avenged Sevenfold’s last studio album, “The Stage” came out in 2016.
Now we know why Miley Cyrus performed “Photograph” at the Taylor Hawkins tribute concert Tuesday night. Miley posted a phone message (LINK) Taylor left her one time.
Somebody uncovered a 2013 video of Coolio hanging with some college kids in a dorm room in England. He’s guiding them to do the background vocals while he raps “Gangsta’s Paradise”.
- Kelly has been ordered to pay over $300,000 to one of his victims, to cover the cost of medical treatment and psychotherapy for abuse inflicted on her. The victim, who remains anonymous, has accused Kelly of giving her a sexually transmitted disease during one of their encounters. Kelly is already in prison, serving 30 years for racketeering, relating to bribery and forced labor. Earlier this month he was convicted of six out of 13 counts in a trial related to images of child abuse and enticing minors for sex. He was found to have created an elaborate scheme to sexually exploit aspiring young singers and children. Based on his earlier convictions Kelly will not be eligible for release until he is about 80. These new convictions could add years to his existing sentence. Two further trials are also pending, one in Minnesota and another in Chicago.
Stevie Nicks appears on the upcoming Gorillaz track “Oil”. . . but before she agreed to do it, she had one condition. She says, quote, “Because of all their crazy cartoon videos . . . I want to be a Gorilla, and I want to have big, false eyelashes, and I want to have blonde hair, right? So that’s what I said. And so they’re doing it as we speak.” She adds, quote, “I was an honorary Heartbreaker. I was an honorary Foo Fighter. And now I’m an honorary Gorilla. I’m so happy.”
Jimmy Buffett canceled his remaining tour dates after experiencing undisclosed health issues that briefly landed him in the hospital. An Instagram message said, quote, “Jimmy will need to refrain from touring for the rest of the year. On doctor’s orders, he must take this time to recuperate and heal. Jimmy looks forward to getting back on stage next year.” Three shows were postponed and rescheduled for March, but two were canceled with ticket refunds.
HERE IS WHAT IS IN THEATERS THIS WEEKEND
- “Smile“(R)
A horror movie starring Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick’s daughter Sosie Bacon. She plays a therapist who witnesses her patient commit suicide with an evil smile on her face. After the traumatic incident, she starts to lose her mind and see people with demonic smiles on their faces.
- “Bros“(R)
An LGBTQ romantic comedy co-written by and starring Billy Eichner. He plays a museum curator hired to write a romantic comedy about a gay couple.
- “Dead for a Dollar“(R)
A Western starring Christoph Waltz as a bounty hunter who’s been hired to track down and woman who has her husband claim she’s being held hostage by a handsome black man.
In recognition of the gay romantic comedy “Bros” coming out today, Lifehacker put together a list of movies that have debatable gay undertones and hidden messaging.
Here are 10:
- “Top Gun”(1986): I mean did you see the shirtless volleyball scene? And Stinger told Maverick, quote, “I’d like to bust your butt but I can’t.”
- “Fright Night”(1985): Chris Sarandon’s vampire character Jerry has a “live-in carpenter” named Billy.
- “Frozen”(2013): Queen Elsa doesn’t have a love interest and is hiding a secret from everyone. Sure, it’s her ice powers, but what maybe there’s more.
- “Fight Club”(1999): Lots of sweaty, shirtless men and no women. I guess rule number one is we don’t talk about the (gay) fight club.
- “Scream”(1996): Stu seems way into Billy, and that’s why they made quite the murderous couple.
- “Batman & Robin”(1997): Did you not see the batsuit? Those nipples, the codpiece?
- “The Babadook”(2014): The Babadook became a gay icon when Netflix accidently put it in the LGBTQ category. But there are “in the closet” metaphors.
- “The Lost Boys”(1987): There’s a poster of Rob Lowe in Corey Haim’s character’s room because why not. And who can forget the oily and gyrating sax man in the beginning?
- “A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge”(1985): The movie was actually written as a sly metaphor for coming out, complete with a leather bar scene and Freddy caressing the lips of “final boy” Jesse with those finger blades.
- “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King”(2003): The relationship between Sam and Frodo. That is all.

Friend of the Rizz Show and Bally Sports Midwest’s Dan McLaughlin serves as the master of ceremonies for the event.
On TV, Bally’s pregame show is set to begin at noon. Scott Warmann is the host, Ricky Horton is the commentator and Jim Hayes provides reports. Then McLaughlin has the play-by-play of the game, which is to begin at 1:15, alongside analyst and one of our NFL archrivals but beautiful man nonetheless, Brad Thompson. Cards host the Pirates tonight with a 715 start (LINK)
The St. Louis Blues had a slow start last night but got some sweet goals from some of the big boys that had been rested until closer to the season. Blues won 4-2 over Columbus last night here at Enterprise Center leaving them 4-0-0 for the preseason.
Welp, the Bengals topped the Dolphins 27-15 after a pretty Terrifying moment during “Thursday Night Football” … Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was rushed to the hospital after suffering what appeared to be a significant head injury. The 24-year-old QB was injured in the second quarter of Miami’s game against the Bengals … when he was wrapped up by a defender and thrown to the turf. Dude’s head slammed off the ground hard — and he immediately seemed to lose consciousness. Trainers and team personnel raced to tend to him … before they eventually strapped him to a backboard and transported him to a nearby hospital in Cincinnati. The Dolphins say he, thankfully, “is conscious and has movement in all his extremities.” TUA had exited last week’s game against the Bills after sustaining an injury on a similar play (LINK) — though he and the team told media members afterward he only suffered a back injury. The Story is still developing.
Remember the whole Lori Laughlin thing? Well if that got you heated and you like Brett Favre then you are in for a wild ride. More troubling allegations surrounding Brett Favre … the NFL legend’s charity — whose mission is to “help underserved and disabled children and breast cancer patients” — reportedly gifted donated funds to his alma maters’ athletic department. Favre’s charity, Favre 4 Hope, donated more than $130,000 to the University of Southern Mississippi Athletic Foundation between 2018-2020, according to The Athletic (LINK) … money meant for children and cancer patients. The outlet reports tax records show Favre’s charity gave the USM foundation $60,000 in 2018 and $46,817 in 2019. In 2020, the foundation received $26,715 from Brett’s charity. Other organizations received money, according to The Athletic, but those amounts were typically under $10K. The donations all came while Favre allegedly tried to obtain $5 million from Mississippi’s welfare fund, meant for the state’s most vulnerable, to build Univ. of Southern Miss. a new multi-million volleyball facility. Favre’s daughter was a volleyball player at the university at the time. Favre — who is being sued by the state of Mississippi over the alleged funds — claims he didn’t know where the money originated … though texts appear to show (LINK) the HOF’er was worried about being caught. And man this texts look bad. Even though the Super Bowl-winning QB hasn’t been criminally charged, many of Brett’s business partners have distanced themselves from him, including SiriusXM … who put his radio show on hold. And BTW, this seems to be the tip of the iceberg.
We talk about a lot auctions and rookie cards. Well the latest rookie card of what we know by all means a terrible baseball player just sold for a ton of money. Yes, Mark Zuckerberg‘s Little League “career” is worth a lot of money to some folks … because a baseball card from when he was a kid sold at auction for six figures!!! The Facebook honcho’s autographed Little League card from back in the day hauled in $120,750 in a fierce, five-day long auction. The anonymous buyer told the auction house the Zuckerberg card would join a collection already featuring rookie cards for MLB legends Babe Ruth and Mickey Mantle, plus an Action Comics #1 … summing up Zuck as “the Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle and Superman of social media rolled up into one.” The signed card — which is from 1992 — was also sold as an NFT, and that went for $1,345. Mark played Little League in Westchester County, NY … where the trading cards were a novelty offered to families. Who had it and sold it you wonder? The card previously belonged to Mark’s former camp counselor, Allie Tarantino, and Zuckerberg signed it when he was 9 years old. Allie says he sold the card to help pay for his kids to go to college. The $120k sale price is pretty eye-catching, and here’s some other interesting numbers … Zuck had a .920 batting average in his 1992 Little League season, with 23 hits and one home run. So maybe he wasn’t so bad at baseball.
