Jay Leno suffered serious burns to his face on Saturday, when one of his cars burst into flames inside a garage in Burbank.  According to TMZ, Jay burned the left side of his face, but there was no damage to his eye or ear. He was taken by ambulance to a place called Grossman Burn Center, but it’s not clear if he’s still there.  He had to cancel a gig on Sunday in Las Vegas. He did release a statement yesterday saying, quote, “I got some serious burns from a gasoline fire.  I am ok.  Just need a week or two to get back on my feet.”

Nick Cannon can never stop working. Shortly after Nick Cannon welcomed baby No. 11, his third with Abby De La Rosa, he’s opening up about his child support arrangement. “I definitely spend a lot more than [$3 million] on my children annually,” Nick told The Neighborhood Talk on Friday, November 11, after a Sun report estimated his financial requirements.  “I don’t plan to ever have to participate in the governmental system of child.” Cannon first became a father in 2011, welcoming twins Moroccan and Monroe with ex-wife Mariah Carey. He’s expecting his 12th child with Alyssa Scott.  In total, he has children with six different women.

Remember a few weeks ago when Christina Applegate showed us her collection of walking sticks? Well, we finally got to see which stick she picked for her FIRST public appearance since being diagnosed with MS, because she got her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday. Shewent with the clear one (LINK) with a black ribbon candy cane stripe and a black wrist chain. There were speeches from her “Married…with Children” co-stars Katey Sagal and David Faustino.  And “Dead to Me” co-star Linda Cardellini and creator Liz Feldman. And Katy stayed with Christina at the podium during her speech, for support. Christina thanked everyone and joked about her physical condition.  Quote, “Oh, by the way, I have a disease.  Did you not notice?  I’m not even wearing shoes.  You’re supposed to laugh at that!”

If all the chatter about Pete Davidson is true, then he’s a sweet, down-to-Earth guy who packs 10 INCHES.  So I guess it’s time to stop being shocked every time he hooks up with yet another gorgeous celebrity. That includes Emily Ratajkowski . . . who was supposedly seen having a romantic dinner with Pete in Brooklyn.  Witnesses say they were getting cozy and holding hands. A so-called “source” says Emily is definitely into Pete, but was hoping they could fly under the radar for a while.  She just filed for divorce from her husband Sebastian Bear-McClard back in September.

Are you even at a Morrissey concert if he isn’t 30 minutes late?  That’s what happened on Saturday night at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles. And to make matters worse, he walked off stage after five songs.  His show was canceled due to, quote, “unforeseen circumstances”.  But he had made comments prior to that about how cold it was.  For reference, the weather was in the 50s. One fan said, quote, “First of the Gang to Walk Off the Stage: Cementing his status as a pretentious a**, Morrissey just walked off the stage after 30 minutes.”

Speaking of SNL….Dave Chappelle hosted “Saturday Night Live” this weekend, and he dove right into the Kanye West situation during his monologue.  Some thought it was hilarious, others found it anti-Semitic. He kicked it off by saying, quote, “I denounce antisemitism in all its forms.  And I stand with my friends in the Jewish community.  And that, Kanye, is how you buy yourself some time.” Another great line:  “I’ve probably been doing this 35 years now, and early in my career I learned that there are two words in the English language that you should never say together in sequence. And those words are ‘the’ and ‘Jews’.  I’ve never heard someone do good after they said that.” Regarding Adidas dropping Kanye, he said, quote, “Ironically, Adidas was founded by Nazis, and THEY were offended.  I guess the student surpassed the teacher.” This one was a little controversial:  Dave said Kanye broke the showbiz rules of perception . . . quote, “If they’re black then it’s a gang, if they’re Italian it’s a mob, but if they’re Jewish it’s a coincidence and you should never speak about it.” He also said, quote, “I’ve been to Hollywood . . . I don’t want y’all to get mad at me . . . this is just what I saw.  It’s a lot of Jews.  Like, a lot . . .I could see if you had some kind of issue . . . you might go out to Hollywood and you might start connecting some kind of lines, and you could maybe adopt the delusion that Jews run show business.  It’s not a crazy thing to think. But it’s a crazy thing to say out loud, in a climate like this.” Dave touched on several other topics, including Herschel Walker, Donald Trump, and the war in Ukraine . . . but then he finished up with a sly callback to the Kanye stuff. He said, quote, “It shouldn’t be this scary to talk about anything.  It’s making my job incredibly difficult, and to be honest with you I’m getting sick of talking to a crowd like this.  I love you to death, and I thank you for your support. And I hope they don’t take anything away from me . . . whoever ‘they’ are.”

Alec Baldwin wants to make sure it’s on the record that he is NOT responsible for the death of “Rust” cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. And he’s doing that by SUING several crew members who had something to do with the loaded gun that went off and killed her. The lawsuit alleges negligence by armorer Hannah Guittierez-Reed, as well as the prop master, the first assistant director (slash) safety coordinator, and the ammunition supplier and his company. One of the reasons Alec is doing this is because HE is being sued by script supervisor Mamie Mitchell, who was also hit by the bullet that discharged from Alec’s gun. She also named a bunch of the people Alec is now suing.  Alec’s lawsuit is a cross-complaint, meaning he wants a share of any damages Mitchell might win from anyone they are now BOTH suing.

Gisele Bundchen was spotted in Costa Rica with her Jiu-Jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente.  But it might be completely innocent. Because Gisele also brought along her kids, 12-year-old Benjamin and 9-year-old Vivian . . . along with some OTHER kids and adults, and a teacher from the kids’ school. Sources say Gisele is NOT romantically involved with this guy.  Joaquim and his brothers run a studio in Florida, and Gisele and the kids are students there.  However . . . the “New York Post” says Tom Brady’s camp isn’t buying the idea that they’re just friends. On a related note, Tom met with the wives and children of Ukrainian soldiers on Sunday . . . after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the Seattle Seahawks in Germany.

The house from “A Christmas Story” went up for sale yesterday morning in Cleveland.  The price isn’t disclosed, but the entire property covers 1.3 acres. It includes a museum with props and costumes from the movie, a gift shop, parking lots, and empty lots to expand. The current owner says, quote, “Looking for the right buyer.  It’s an interesting property to not only own, but you also have to take care of as a piece of Americana.  It’s going to be an interesting journey.”

Millions of people grew up on those “The More You Know” videos on NBC.  They were 30-second PSAs featuring celebrities feeding kids all the classic lines . . . you know, don’t do drugs, stay in school, and all that. Even kids who weren’t alive when they were on have seen memes of the logo, featuring a shooting star leaving a rainbow trail behind it. Well, NBC is bringing them back, but to Peacock.  And the episodes will be several minutes now, because, quote, “sometimes it’s hard in 30 seconds or 15 seconds to boil down the complexities of everything.” Celebrities in this new batch of episodes will include John LegendSteph Curry, and that rad dude all the kids are rapping about, Al Roker.

Foreigner has announced their American farewell tour, with their last trek ever starting in Atlanta on July 6th. Loverboy will join the band on the road. Foreigner’s American tour finale will be in Holmdel, New Jersey on September 3rd. The band wrote “Many years ago, we wrote a song called ‘Feels Like The First Time’ and today we are launching one last worldwide tour. We will be presenting a show that I know will have the same enthusiasm as our very first appearances. While I’m sure our fans will have mixed feelings about the end of the road for the band, I know our shows are going to delight audiences everywhere.”  The show will be at the Amphitheater on July 19th.

Garth Brooks will be doing a Vegas residency next year.  “Garth Brooks/Plus ONE” will be at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Here’s why he’s calling it Plus One.  Quote, “We’re gonna try something we’ve never tried before.  The band is coming, but it’s a one-man show.  They’re going to sit in the audience. “So at any time you want a fiddle to come up and join you, any time you just want percussion and background to come up and sing, or it’s just you . . . or, let’s bring the whole band up and do ‘Friends in Low Places’.  This should be stupid.” He said Trisha Yearwood will sing in the show . . . and there will be other “occasional” guests.  The run will feature dates in May, June, and July . . . and then in November and December.

Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield are referencing the most infamous episode in their history to make a profit.  The two have entered into a partnership to sell cannabis gummies called “Holy Ears.” The edible is a tribute to the 1997 fight where Tyson bit a piece of Holyfield’s ear off.  Time seems to heal all wounds. Holyfield said about the partnership, “I wanted to make sure that things were going to be right, and I realized it was a good deal.”

The Offspring has released a cover of “Bells Will Be Ringing (Please Come Home for Christmas)”. Frontman Dexter Holland wrote “We’ve always loved the classic Charles Brown version of this song and think it’s really underappreciated.” The Eagles covered the same song in 1978 while Jon Bon Jovi released his own version in 1992. The Offspring released their  first Christmas tune, “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” in 2020. The band is working on the follow-up to their 2021 album, ‘Let The Bad Times Roll’.

The Blues have won three in a row after last night’s win over the defending Stanley Cup Champs the Colorado Avalanche. Here is the final call from Kerbs. Final score was 3-2. The Blues improved to 6-8-0 for the season although they still remain in last place in the Central Division. Blues play tomorrow in Chicago with a start time of 6:30pm.

Cardinals utility man Brendan Donovan finished third in voting for the Jackie Robinson National League Rookie of the Year Award. Atlanta’s 21-year-old center fielder Michael Harris II won after he received 22 first-place votes from the 30 Baseball Writers’ Association of America members who cast ballots, it was revealed Monday. Donovan was the only Cardinal to factor into the final tally. This marks the second consecutive year a Cardinal finished third in rookie voting, after Dylan Carlson did so in 2021. Albert Pujols remains the last Cardinal to be recognized as the NL’s top-performing rookie. He won the award in 2001.

Our St Louis CITY SC team added players during its expansion draft last Friday and releases their Jersey tomorrow at CITYPARK stadium followed by the first match but there’s another important draft this week too! he St. Louis Battlehawks will select second in the offensive skill position portion of the XFL draft, which begins with the quarterback distribution TODAY and runs through Thursday.

The XFL will assign the current 13-member quarterback pool to its eight teams Tuesday during a livestream event from Las Vegas. A draft for other positions will take place Wednesday and Thursday as teams begin to load their 66-man rosters.

Training camp will start early in 2023, with the 10-game XFL season scheduled to begin on February 18. In addition to drafting second (after D.C. Defenders) in the skill phase, St. Louis will select third in defensive backs, sixth in D7 (defensive linemen/linebackers), seventh in offensive linemen, third in specialists and sixth in the open phase of the draft.

SLU men’s soccer team officially made the NCAA tournament for the 50th time, more than any program in the country. For its 50th trip, SLU will play a first-round home game at 7 p.m. Thursday against Memphis at Hermann Stadium, giving the university a chance for revenge after the Memphis women eliminated the Billikens last weekend from that tourney. Congrats to all there.

The Eagles were the NFL’s last unbeaten team as they entered Monday night’s matchup with the rival Commanders. But Unbeaten no more! And Guess who had the Commanders baby!? Forcing four turnovers — one more than the Birds coughed up all season — and easily winning the time-of-possession battle, as well as several controversial calls from the officials, Washington downed its NFC East rivals 32-21 (LINK)

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster’s mom said her son is okay after a scary hit to the head in a win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. In the second quarter of the game, Smith-Schuster took a big hit from Jaguars safety Andre Cisco. He was helped to the locker room after a scary scene on the field and was ruled out of the game. The play went unpenalized despite one referee throwing a flag (LINK). JuJu was placed in the NFL’s concussion protocol, a multi-phase, multi-day process that will determine when he will be ready to return to action. Mahomes and a few others said when they got back to the locker room he was looking good and he was pretty jovial so they were stoked on that but regardless, the dude fenced immediately after being hit so concussion protocol it is. What I read is best case scenario is he is fine and does the minimum 5 days and clears to practice full pads Friday which happens about 60-75 percent of the time. Best wishes to him. Dude is good (LINK)
