We haven’t checked in with rapper Flavor Flav lately….according to his manager he has now been sober for 1 year. He hasn’t had a cigarette in 15 months. And he hasn’t been arrested since last month. That’s where the humor ends as IF TRUE. He was in jail after being arrested for a domestic violence incident earlier this month in Nevada. The charge was that of a misdemeanor. After Mr Flav allegedly poked his finger on the alleged victim’s nose, grabbed her, threw her down and grabbed a phone out her hand. His attorney said there are 2 sides to the story.
It’s been 40 years since MEL BROOKS promised to bring us “Hitler on Ice” and “Jews in Space” . . .Remember this from the end of History of the World Part 1? and now it may finally happen. It was 1981 when Brooks released his classic comedy “History of the World: Part 1”, basically an anthology film with skits based in several points of human history, like prehistoric times and the Spanish Inquisition. At the end, there was a trailer for a Part 2, but Mel wasn’t actually planning to make it, and he never did. Well, Hulu is making it now . . . as an eight-episode SERIES. Mel will be one of the writers, along with NICK KROLL, WANDA SYKES, and IKE BARINHOLTZ. Mel says, quote, “I can’t wait to once more tell the real truth about all the phony baloney stories the world has been conned into believing are History!” (LINK)

So news on the John Wick sequel. Here is Keanu Reeves reacting to the news of the sequel. In that same interview here is Keanu Reeves reacting to the news that Keanu Reeves will NOT be in the John Wick sequel. Starz is making a three-part limited series called “The Continental”. It’ll be about the origins of the hotel from the movies. The story will take place 40 years before the “John Wick” series, in 1975. It’ll focus on a young version of Winston Scott, which was IAN MCSHANE’s character. MEL GIBSON will be in it, but he’s the only cast member who’s been announced so far. Paul McCartney will induct Foo Fighters, and Drew Barrymore will do it for The Go-Go’s. Taylor Swift will be introducing Carole King. It’ll air on November 20th on HBO and HBO Max (LINK)
Don’t know him . . . I only know YE. The rapper formerly known as Kanye has officially changed his name to Ye, with NO legal middle name OR last name. The only comment he’s made about the filing was it’s for, quote, “personal reasons”. In a 2018 interview with radio host Big Boy, Ye said, quote, “I believe ‘ye’ is the most commonly used word in the Bible, and in the Bible, it means ‘you.’ So I’m you, I’m us, it’s us.” So he is me and he is you, apparently. In related news, what’s up with these nightmare-ish masks that he’s been wearing lately? One of them looks like a Caucasian bald woman with eyeshadow and the other is also bald but in a pale greenish-blue color. People have compared that second mask to “Karl Havoc” . . . a character from the BRILLIANT Netflix show “I Think You Should Leave”.

“Stranger Things” scored exactly 50%, with “Survivor” and “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” following a bit behind.

Yesterday technically all the Blues needed was the 2nd period to pull off the big win, but they got some insurance in the other periods as well. A huge day for Jordan Kyrou as he had two goals and two assists on his way to a 4 point day. One of his goals easily could be a contender for goal of the year already! Pavel Buchnevich got his first goal as a Blue. Justin Faulk added another goal to his stats. Klim Kostin scored twice for the Blues in the second and Ivan Barbashev put the nail in the coffin in the third. 7-4 final. Upnext a game against the Knights in Vegas tomorrow. Puck drop is scheduled for 9PM.
San Jose Sharks forward Evander Kane has been suspended for 21 games until Nov. 30 for violating the NHL’s COVID-19 protocol. During training camp, reports came out that Kane was being investigated for using a fake vaccination card. The NHL did not specify that Kane used a fake vaccination card in its release, although it’s an act that’s illegal in Canada and the United States. The news came after the NHL cleared Kane of allegations by his estranged wife that he bet on his own games. Kane will be unable to return to action until San Jose’s Nov. 30 game against the New Jersey Devils.
The Red Sox’s bats are coming alive at the right time as Boston eyes its fifth World Series appearance in the 21st century. Boston jumped out to a 2–0 lead against the Astros in the second inning on Monday night as the Red Sox looked to seize a 2–1 lead in the ALCS. And after loading the bases Boston really did some damage. First baseman Kyle Schwarber blasted a grand slam on a 3-0 fastball giving Boston a 6-0 lead. The dinger wasn’t a rarity for the Red Sox in the ALCS. They bashed a pair of grand slams in Game 2 against Houston. The Red Sox continued to roll and ended up with the 12-3 in Game 3 and take a 2-1 series lead. Today the Dodgers and Braves play game 3. Atlanta is up 2-0 in that series. First pitch tonight is scheduled for 4PM.
As the Bills and Titans traded scoring drives in a Monday Night Football shoot-out, it seemed like a no-brainer for Buffalo to go for it on 4th-and-1 inside the Tennessee 5-yard line, trailing by three with 22 seconds to play. The Bills looked towards Josh Allen to sneak for the needed three feet and set up a potential game-winning touchdown. The Titans’ defensive line had other ideas. Derrick Henry had a three touchdown night in the win and with the final score being 34-31….that means a total of 65 points….and that also means….KING SCOTT will be getting shot today.
There hasn’t been much noise thus far regarding the San Diego Padres manager vacancy. There have been reports about the front office making their list of people they’d want to interview but nothing beyond that. Now we are hearing that the Padres are expected to interview Mike Schildt for their managerial opening. Schildt was recently fired by the Cardinals due to “philosophical differences”, according to Cardinals president John Mozeliak. As far as why Schildt was let go – he held a press conference yesterday and this is what he had to say: “I was taught not to talk out of school, and while clearly there were differences that led to this parting of ways, out of respect for the organization and the people that run it, I can only express my gratitude. All the philosophies that were shared over the many years, most of which together, allowed us to part ways as professional friends.” When asked about different rumors surrounding his firing…Schildt kept it classy and said: ““Let’s move forward and let’s take care of maintaining the integrity of the future of the organization.”

After an undefeated regular season in 2020–21, Gonzaga will open the 2021–22 season in familiar territory as the No. 1 team in the men’s preseason AP poll. The Bulldogs received 55 of 63 first-place votes, with No. 2 UCLA earning the remaining eight. Defending national champion Baylor enters this season as the No. 8 team in the poll. No men’s program has repeated as national champions since Florida in 2006 and 2007. Duke and Kentucky enter the season as the No. 9 and No. 10 teams in the country, respectively, after disappointing 2020–21 campaigns. Missouri starts the year 46th and SLU is ranked 52nd.
Washington State coach Nick Rolovich has been fired with cause after not meeting the state’s deadline to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. Rolovich had applied for a religious exemption to not get vaccinated before Monday’s deadline. Rolovich and all other unvaccinated Washington State assistants have been terminated for cause. Defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Jake Dickert is reportedly expected take over as interim head coach. “Due to the requirements set forth in the Washington Proclamation — Nick Rolovich is no longer able to fulfill the duties as the football head coach at Washington State University,” the school’s statement read. “In addition, four football assistant coaches are also not in compliance with the Proclamation. As a result, Washington State University has initiated the separation process based on the terms of their respective contracts, effective immediately.” The governor ended up saying that state employees had until this Monday to get vaccinated or face termination barring medical or religious exemptions and there was no testing option…and…time was up for the head coach.
