  1. “The Exorcist”was the first horror movie to be nominated for a Best Picture Oscar in 1974.
  1. “Psycho”is the first American film to show a toilet on-screen and the first you can hear a toilet flushing.
  1. Tat last scene in “Carrie”where Carrie’s hand erupts from the grave?  The hand is SISSY SPACEK’s because she was adamant about doing her own hand work . . . she had to be buried underground to do it.
  1. STEVEN SPIELBERGwas convinced that his DVD copy of “Paranormal Activity” was haunted because his bedroom door locked by itself.
  1. The shark in “Jaws”doesn’t appear in full until one hour and 21 minutes into the movie.  The mechanical shark that was built rarely worked while filming, so the scenes were limited.
  1. “The Blob”is based on a supposedly real incident that happened in 1950 in Philadelphia.  Police officers came across a purple, jelly-like mass that they saw fall from the sky . . . but then it vanished.  Even the FBI were involved and a press conference was held.

The Dave Grohl of Netflix, Squid Game, has done some editing. There’s  a phone number on the back of the business card every child’s game player receives. Yea that number is real  and the woman who owns it has received thousands of calls since the show premiered on September 17th.… There are more than 4,000 numbers that I’ve had to delete from my phone. My phone’s battery is drained and turns off.” Netflix has announced it would edit scenes to remove the phone number. Remember the whole Jussie Smollett situation where he allegedly created a fake hate crime? That’s going to court November 29th.  He is accused of setting up a phony attack in Chicago in 2018 with the help of two brothers. Those brothers will be witnesses in the case against Jussie. Last year, a grand jury in Cook County, Illinois, indicted Smollett on six counts of filing a false report. There is a motion to dismiss the case. The judge will hear it on October 15th. If it fails, the trial will go on right after Thanksgiving.

  1. Kelly’s YouTube channels have been removed from the platform after he was found guilty of sex trafficking and racketeering. His songs and albums will remain on YouTube Music. There are creator responsibility guidelines. Under those guidelines, creators must “remain responsible both on and off the platform.” YouTube lists “inappropriate” behavior off platform to include, “Intending to cause malicious harm to others” and “Participating in abuse or violence, demonstrating cruelty, or participating in fraudulent/deceptive behavior leading to real world harm.” R. Kelly will no longer be allowed to use, create or own any other YouTube channels. However, user-generated videos containing Kelly’s music can still be uploaded and are still live on the platform. His songs and albums are still available on Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal and Amazon Music.  He faces 10 years to life behind bars and will be sentenced in May 2022.

Scott was telling me about this website called Wikifeet ( where you can spend all dang day checking out celebrities’ feet.  KIM KARDASHIAN recently discovered WikiFeet . . . and while she was initially confused by it, she was psyched to learn that the site gave her a perfect score of FIVE STARS. It seems like most celebs get the five-star treatment . . . although for some reason, MILEY CYRUS only has four. It should probably go without saying that this site only has pictures of WOMEN.  I’m sure there are female foot fetishists out there, but I feel like it’s way more of a guy thing. WikiFeet also has a dating platform and a merch store . . . where you can buy WikiFeet BABY CLOTHES.    The “Paranormal Activity” franchise is back, and this time it’s going Amish. Paramount+ released the first trailer for “Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin,” the seventh installment in the series that serves as something of a reboot for the franchise that began in 2007.  The story follows a documentary filmmaker (Emily Bader) as she travels to a secluded Amish community where she hopes to connect with her extended family and learn more about her long-lost mother. Once there, however, strange happenings occur and she realizes all may not be as calm and quiet as it seems.  Do you guys getting excited over pairs of actors together? Like George Clooney and Brad Pitt are both acting and producing in a new film that’s untitled.  Jon Watts, the director behind the MCU Spider-Man films, will direct  . Clooney said it’s a thriller so that’s all I got. So is anyone going “hey Clooney and Pitt together? Hell yes!”  Acting Duos Who Often Film Movies Together, and We’re Happy to See Them Too (LINK) Adam Sandler and Rob Schneider-starred together in 18 movies overall. Quote, “The fact is that, physically, it’s incredibly demanding to do what we do . . . We’re running around for two-plus hours, not only with guitars, but I’ve got 30-plus pounds of gear on. “There’s a point where you go, ‘You know what?  This is more challenge than I want.’  And I only want to do it as long as I can do it smiling.” He adds, quote, “You can play beat the clock, but ultimately the clock wins.” But both Paul and 72 year old GENE SIMMONS have said KISS could continue without them.  And Paul hasn’t changed his mind.  Quote, “Kiss has a life of its own.  I couldn’t stop Kiss if I wanted to.  The band is so much more than music (LINK)”

Bree Olson

Today’s birthday girl has been in 601 fine films, including: – 69 Bree Street – Big Wet Butts 1 – The F Team – I Did It For The Money – No Please Don’t Tickle Me There – WhoreObics – And who can forget her role in 2007’s The Smut Peddler Bree Olson is 35 years old. sports_report_2.jpg Well it was a pitching duel last night between the Cardinals and the Dodgers – and not really in the way that you’d think.  Both Wainwright and Scherzer weren’t BAD but they weren’t their 2021 selves.  So – in comes the bullpen.  As both pitchers left – the game was tied 1-1.  And that’s how it stayed until the bottom of the 9th.  And then…Chris Taylor… and that’s a walkoff.  Chris Taylor hit the homer and Cody Bellinger scored from 2nd.  3-1 the final.  The Cardinals are done for the year.  The Dodgers will now take on the Giants tomorrow night. Tonight the post season continues.  The White Sox and Astros play at 3:00PM and the Red Sox and Rays play at 7PM. The San Diego Padres still believe they have a World Series-caliber team. If the Padres do make it to the Fall Classic in the near future, it won’t be manager Jayce Tingler who leads them there. The Padres fired Tingler on Wednesday, three days after they finished 79-83 and in third place in the NL West. The Padres’ General manager said Tingler — who just a season ago was second in voting for NL Manager of the Year — would be given the opportunity to remain in the organization. Tingler’s fate was sealed during a shocking freefall that saw the Padres go from a one-game lead for the NL’s second wild-card spot on Sept. 9 to being eliminated from playoff contention with seven games left. Tingler was 116-106 overall in two seasons. At one point last night, the Blues were up 3-0.  And then…they weren’t.  They lost in OT 4-3 to the Wild.  The Blues did get goals from Mackenzie MacEachern, Nathan Walker, and Robert Bortuzzo – all coming in the 1st period.  Up next for the Blues – a game tomorrow night at Enterprise Center.  Puck drops at 7PM. Tonight it’s Thursday Night Football as Rams are in Seattle to take on the Seahawks.  Kick off is scheduled for 7:20PM and make sure you put in your picks by going to 1057thepoint.com/picks. Jaguars coach Urban Meyer said Wednesday he does not plan to resign despite his actions at an Ohio bar over the weekend.  Meyer has drawn significant criticism since Sunday after videos and photos emerged of the coach with “at least one woman who was not his wife at his restaurant in Columbus, Ohio.” Meyer did not fly home with the team from Cincinnati on Thursday. Meyer apologized to Jacksonville players by position group on Monday, and he apologized to the team in full on Sunday. He received sharp criticism from owner Shad Khan, who said Meyer “must regain our trust and respect.” Meyer said: “I had at least three or four conversations with Shad. The message is loud and clear. Also met with the team on Monday, individually, and then today [as a group]. [I] had a very pointed conversation with them, owning a stupid mistake that I made.” Unvaccinated NBA players will face fines or jail time if they violate the quarantine restrictions while in Toronto. Per Canada’s Quarantine Act, breaking quarantine could lead to up to six months in prison and/or $750,000 in fines. Unvaccinated players are only allowed to leave the hotel for team activities. According to the NBA’s health and safety protocols for this upcoming season, players must pass a test before traveling to Toronto, regardless of vaccination status. The news comes as notable players across the league say they won’t get vaccinated for COVID-19, including Nets guard Kyrie Irving  He could miss half the season (or more) due to his COVID-19 vaccine status, resulting in a hefty financial blow due to local vaccine restrictions. Gotham FC, Washington Spirit, NC Courage and Racing Louisville FC players stopped playing six minutes into their Wednesday night matchups and linked arms at midfield as the National Women’s Soccer League Players Association released a statement saying, in part, “#NoMoreSilence,” in the league’s return to play following the heinous allegations against former NC Courage coach Paul Riley. The statement read: “Tonight, we reclaim our place on the field, because we will not let our joy be taken from us. But this is not business as usual.” NWSLPA announced each team will stop play at the sixth minute on Wednesday and players will stand in solidarity at midfield “for one minute in honor of the 6 years it took for Mana, Sinead, and all those who fought for too long to be heard. “We call on fans to stand in silence with us. During that time, we ask you to stand in that pain and discomfort with us, as we consider what we have been asked to sit with for too long. We call on you to consider, in that minute, what is demanded of each of us to reclaim our league and our sport.”
