More information is coming out about a lawsuit filed against Marilyn Manson by a videographer. An arrest warrant was issued for the singer in May in connection to the incident, which resulted in simple assault charges. The plaintiff claims Manson spit at her and blew his nose at her in the pit during a 2019 concert. Manson’s attorney, Kent Barker, is now saying that Manson’s performances over the past twenty years “are well known to include shocking and evocative antics similar to those that occurred here. The alleged victim consented to exposing herself to potential contact with sweat, saliva and phlegm in close quarters.” The lawyer also claims Manson’s actions were unintentional. Manson entered a “not guilty” plea earlier this month. If convicted, he could be facing jail time.
Jessica Alba (LINK) Honest Co. is being sued by shareholders. Tell me who you think is to blame here. The shareholders claim in a new lawsuit they bought Honest stock after the company went public in May, 2021 because the financial reports from 2020 showed gangbuster sales. Big sales let’s buy in. Just 2 months later, Honest released a report saying they lost $20 million in the second quarter of 2021, and stock prices plummeted nearly 43% from the public offering price. The shareholders claim Honest hid that consumers had stockpiled diapers, wipes and other wellness products because of the pandemic, and by the time the company went public Honest knew sales were falling in a big way. Now the shareholders do concede … Honest disclosed that COVID was a driver of high sales and there was no assurance that would continue. But, the shareholders says Honest actually KNEW sales were declining but didn’t ante up the info.
We’re finally getting some stability behind the podium on “Jeopardy!”. There will only be TWO hosts for the remainder of the year. MAYIM BIALIK will host the show starting on Monday, and running through November 5th. After that, she and KEN JENNINGS will split hosting duties until the end of 2021. It seems logical that one of them will get the permanent hosting gig after that, but who knows. It’s been such a circus up to this point, if there’s any way they can screw it up again, they probably will.

What say you Marvel fans in rebuttal to this? The guy who directed the new Dune (Denis Villeneuve) says the the Marvel movies “are nothing more than a ‘cut and paste’ of others. The Cardinals hit four homeruns last night and that all helped them on their way to their 11-4 win against the Mets Wednesday night. With the win, they completed the sweep of NY in probably the most crucial time ever. Because of their win, and the loss from the Reds, the Cardinals are now a game ahead in the 2nd Wild Card Spot. They look to continue to roll this weekend as they take on the Padres First pitch is scheduled for 7:15PM tonight at Busch and Miles Mikolas gets the start.
Two-way star Shohei Ohtani won’t pitch Friday for the Los Angeles Angels because of a sore right arm that could sideline him as a pitcher for the rest of the season. Ohtani felt soreness while playing catch Wednesday. Maddon said he raised the possibility of the likely American League MVP being shut down on the mound for the rest of the season during a meeting. Maddon said there were no plans for Ohtani to be examined by a doctor, nor has it been determined when he would try to resume playing catch.
Ohtani, 27, hasn’t pitched since Sept. 10, when he was tagged for six runs on nine hits in 3⅓ innings in a loss at Houston.

The Indianapolis Colts will make their debut on the acclaimed HBO series “Hard Knocks” later during the regular season. It will mark the first time that the “Hard Knocks” franchise will follow a team during the regular season. “Hard Knocks,” which features cameras going behind the scenes with teams, has followed them only during training camps in past seasons. The head of NFL films said QUOTE: “We could not be more thrilled to bring ‘Hard Knocks’ and the remarkable behind-the-scenes access it provides for the entirety of an NFL season.” NFL Films did four years of the “All or Nothing” series for Amazon Prime Video, where it followed a team for the entire season, but those episodes were not available until the following summer.

The Bucks president announced Byington’s hiring Wednesday. In a statement, Byington said she was “absolutely thrilled” at the opportunity “to work with a first-class franchise and a championship organization like the Milwaukee Bucks.”
The main goal of a pitcher is to throw the ball past home plate. A strike is nice but sometimes a ball will work, too, in order to maybe set something up down the line during an at-bat. But yeah, as a pitcher you want to get the ball past home plate. It’s an easy thing to do and we see major league pitchers do it all the time. Well, Wednesday night in Kansas City, Royals left-handed reliever Jake Brentz struggled to do that and threw such a bad pitch that it barely made it past his feet. If you haven’t seen this video – its bizarre and its on the show blog right now. And after you watch the video…just know…he ended up striking out the batter during that at-bat.
Yesterday there was a friendly in Women’s National Team soccer action. And…they took on Paraguay…and things were UGLY. We a goal from Lynn Williams and Tobin Heath….two goals from Andi Sullivan….and FIVE…yes FIVE goals from Carli Lloyd. She scored in the 3rd, 6th, 34th, 38th, and 61st minutes. Yikes. In a month they take on South Korea.
The World’s Largest Drum is officially too big for Notre Dame Stadium. As a result, Purdue’s All-American Band will play its first halftime performance without its giant bass drum for the first time since 1979. “According to a communication from the University of Notre Dame, our Band will not be permitted to take the World’s Largest Drum through their tunnel and onto the football field for this Saturday’s game. Notre Dame Athletics has restricted use of their main tunnel to their own football team and band, which is the only entrance large enough for the Drum. We have been told that visiting teams and bands have to use a separate tunnel that is much smaller. Our Drum is about 10 feet tall on its carriage and 565 pounds so it doesn’t even come close to fitting in this other tunnel.” Purdue had used the main tunnel to bring the drum out for their halftime show in previous matchups with the Fighting Irish, however Notre Dame Stadium underwent renovations in 2017 which included adding a visitor’s tunnel. The Boilermakers last played in South Bend in 2012.
