Don Cornelius, the former host and creator of television’s Soul Train from 1971 to 1993, which brought amazing Black musicians to mainstream audiences like Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, James Brown and Michael Jackson gain exposure. He got big time man. Drove a Rolls Royce. Ballin’. On Monday night’s episode of Secrets of Playboy, an A&E documentary series that explores the very dark side of Playboy as told by the women who worked with founder Hugh Hefner and his friends. Calling a story about Corneliuos…”probably the most horrific story I’ve ever heard at Playboy,” Cornelius was a Playboy VIP and one night at a Hollywood dance bar where the bunnies were known to hang out, Cornelius spotted two new recruits — sisters — and invited them to join him in the bar’s VIP area, she said. Later that evening, he allegedly asked the “baby bunnies” if they wanted to go back to his house with him, where he said he was throwing a party. “These two young girls got in his Rolls-Royce, went up to his house and we didn’t hear from them for three days,” Masten alleged in the episode. “We couldn’t figure out where they were.” That three-day silence was broken when one of the girls called a bunny mother at the Playboy Mansion, allegedly saying that she and her sister had been held at Cornelius’ house and she was finally able to get out. Joe Piastro, Playboy’s head of security, went to pick them up and found them “bloodied, battered [and] drugged,” Masten said. According to Masten, the sisters — who are not named in the docuseries — reported that they had been locked in separate rooms at Cornelius’ house…tied up and bound,” Masten alleged. “There were wooden objects that they were sodomized with and [one sister] could hear [the] other sister being brutalized (LINK)
Cornelius’ son, Tony Cornelius, says its an unbelievable story without real proof. and “salaciousness.” The sister who allegedly managed to get free didn’t notify the police in accordance with Playboy policy, and claimed that the company’s security team handled the matter internally, telling the bunnies to keep quiet and avoid speaking to the press. Cornelius was never investigated for sexual assault against the bunnies, though he was convicted on unrelated domestic violence charges in 2008. He was back in the club the following week.” The den mother of course says she feels some guilt because she didn’t go to the cops but in part she didn’t think anyone would believe her. Cornelius He died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound on Feb. 1, 2012, after experiencing seizures for 15 years.
There was almost 400 lawsuits filed against the Astroworld Festival (LINK) organizers Live Nation and Travis Scott. But not anymore. The Texas Judicial Panel On Multidistrict Litigation has officially agreed to combine the suits into one case (LINK). Both plaintiffs and defendants wanted to combine the cases for simplicity. The new case will include at least 387 separate lawsuits with almost 2,800 alleged victims, with nearly $3 billion at stake. The suits argue that Live Nation and Travis Scott were negligent in the planning and execution of the festival. Live Nation and Travis Scott were sued in the wake of the Astroworld Festival when eight people were killed and nearly 300 others were injured by a crowd crush during Travis’ first-day closing set. Members of the crowd were suffocated and trampled as Travis reportedly performed for nearly 40 minutes after a mass casualty event had been declared by authorities. Two more victims died from their injuries after the festival, including one as young as 14 years old (LINK)

He jumped into the comments section and said, quote, “Some things should be covered up.” Not surprisingly, Nelly got slammed by Madonna’s fans . . . but she hasn’t commented yet. It wouldn’t be surprising if she did, though. Two months ago, 50 CENT mocked her for posting sexy pics, and she shot back, quote, “I guess your new career is getting attention by trying to humiliate others on social media. The least elevated choice you could make as an artist and an adult.”

KRISTEN BELL apologized to a guy who inadvertently got stuck watching the raunchy sex scene on her new Netflix show with his girlfriend and his MOM. The show is called “The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window”, and Kristen stars as a woman who may have witnessed a murder across the street. It’s kind of a dark comedic take on those Lifetime thrillers.

There’s a scene in the new “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” trailer that some of you are gonna LOVE. Leatherface confronts a bunch of young people on a bus, and their reaction is to raise their phones in unison and start filming him. One of them says, quote, “Try anything and you’re canceled, bro.” Well, you can guess what happens next: Leatherface revs up his trusty saw and cancels THEM. “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” is heading straight to Netflix on February 18th. As the NFL’s coaching carousel continues to turn, the Vikings will reportedly interview Jim Harbaugh for their vacant head coach position. The interview will take place on Wednesday, which is the same day as college football’s National Signing Day. Harbaugh is one of at least three coaches still in the mix for the Minnesota vacancy. The 58-year-old Michigan coach is coming off his best season with the Wolverines, guiding them to a Big Ten championship and College Football Playoff berth. He went 44–19–1 with the 49ers in his lone stint as an NFL head coach from 2011 to ’14, leading the team to the postseason in each of his first three seasons, including an appearance in Super Bowl 47. Harbaugh is 61–24 across seven seasons at Michigan.
