Nebraska coach Matt Rhule confirmed on Tuesday that wide receiver Marcus Washington, a St. Louis native, tore his ACL against Illinois on Friday and will undergo season-ending surgery. Washington had played the second-most snaps of any Husker wide receiver heading into last week’s matchup and quickly popped up with a 39-yard catch against Illinois. He suffered the injury on the very next play. Washington made eight catches for 176 yards already this season.
