JOHNNY DEPP was back on the witness stand yesterday, to counter the allegations of abuse that AMBER HEARD made against him during her testimony. He said her claims were NOT true ((AUDIO)) He added, quote, “I have never in my life committed sexual battery, physical abuse, all these outlandish, outrageous stories of me committing these things.  And living with it for six years, and waiting to be able to bring the truth out, No matter what happens I did get here and I did tell the truth and I have spoken up for what I’ve been carrying on my back, reluctantly, for six years.”  He also addressed the fact that Amber said he’d taken a BUNCH of ecstasy at once at one time.  ((AUDIO)) KATE MOSS also testified via video link, to deny a rumor that came up earlier in the trial, that Johnny once pushed her down a flight of stairs when they were dating. Kate said she once SLIPPED down some stairs, and Johnny helped her.

JOSH DUGGAR was sentenced to 151 months in prison for receiving and possessing child pornography. That’s 12 years and 7 months. He had faced a maximum of 20 years behind bars after authorities found at least 65 images of child pornography on his computer, including a two-minute video that’s best left UN-described. Josh pleaded not guilty and claimed someone ELSE downloaded that disgusting content onto his computer. Duggar was previously accused of sexually abusing several underage girls, including four of his sisters.

JEFF BRIDGES almost didn’t survive his battle with Covid last year.  He had been undergoing chemotherapy for lymphoma so his immune system was completely wiped out.  As for the cancer, he’s currently in remission. And he says that Covid basically made it look like nothing.  Jeff had to be hospitalized for almost five months . . . he couldn’t even roll over without needing oxygen. Jeff said, quote, “I was pretty close to dying.  The doctors kept telling me, ‘Jeff, you’ve got to fight.  You’re not fighting.'” Interestingly, Jeff sees battling two potentially deadly diseases simultaneously as a BLESSING . . . which seems like a very Jeff Bridges way to look at it.

Back in JanuaryWinnie the Pooh entered the public domain.  And not surprisingly, he is now entering the domain of LOW-BUDGET HORROR. There’s a movie on the way called “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey”, and some creepy images hit the Web yesterday.  It was written and directed by . . . a guy you’ve never heard of.  And it stars . . . a bunch of people you’ve never heard of, either. There’s really no information on the plot, except that it’s, quote, “A horror retelling of the famous legend of Winnie the Pooh.”  There’s no word when it’s coming out, either. For the record, Disney still retains the rights to its version of Winnie . . . but the A.A. Milne works that it’s based on are fair game.  See some really creepy photos here

SAMUEL L. JACKSON is joining the upcoming “Garfield” animated movie as a BRAND NEW character . . . Garfield’s dad, Vic.  CHRIS PRATT was previously announced as the voice of Garfield.  There’s no word who’ll voice his owner Jon Arbuckle or Odie the dog . . . if he even speaks. It’s unclear how the new character Vic will be incorporated.  Maybe we will see Garfield’s origins?  The release date hasn’t been announced yet.

The firehouse Dalmatian on NBC’s “Chicago Fire” passed away unexpectedly on Sunday from kidney issues.  Her name was Tuesday and she had been working on the show over the last four years. Her last episode aired last night . . . the Season 10 finale.  Tuesday’s trainer broke the sad news.  She said, quote, “Allowing her into your homes and hearts will forever be cherished.  Her tail never stopped wagging.  She truly was very special.” The guy who played Darren, Tuesday’s owner on the show, said, quote, “Heartbroken to learn my little buddy is gone . . . Sending all my love to her trainer today.  I got to spend time with her on set and do all the fun stuff, but you took care of her when the cameras weren’t rolling.”

“The Ellen DeGeneres Show” ends TODAY, and you might not hear from Ellen for a while.  Because OPRAH gave her some good advice:  Take at least one year off, no matter what. Ironically, it’s advice Oprah DIDN’T take when she ended her show.  But Ellen’s gonna try. She says, quote, “I have an incredible offer right now that I actually got several months before I finished.  It’s really, really hard to say no to and I’m asking to delay it because I am really trying to sit still.  This is my first self-imposed break . . . I’m going to start traveling in a couple of weeks and try to enjoy my time.”

Viewers of HBO’s adaption of “The Time Traveler’s Wife” were left “disturbed” and “haunted” by a sex scene that was depicted in Sunday’s second episode. In the episode, the character of Henry explains to his love interest, Claire how his father found out about his time-traveling powers by awkward accident. A flashback scene shows a 16-year-old version of Henry using his powers to go back in time and perform oral sex ….on himself when his father walks in and sees the two versions of his son — both naked and in bed together. One reviewer from Decider called it “the most baffling blow-job scene” in the history of television (LINK)

SNOOP DOGG is a pretty busy dude.  So busy that he had to turn down a $2 million offer to DJ an event thrown by MICHAEL JORDAN.  Imagine telling one of the NBA’s greatest “NO” . . .On an episode of LOGAN PAUL’s podcast “Impaulsive”, he said he’s never met Michael before.  But he really wants to as a fan and as a “boss” . . . preferably NOT as a DJ. Snoop already knows what he’ll say to MJ if they ever meet . . .quote, “Mike, I’ve loved you since North Carolina, I’m a big fan of yours, I love what you do, you one of the greatest to ever do it.  Give me a couple of secrets on how you did this.  Can I get a picture with you?  You wanna smoke a blunt?  Hey man, it’s been real.'”

Adele was set to start a Las Vegas residency at Caesar’s Palace when she pulled the plug just 24 hours before the first concert.  That was back in January, and there has been no word on if Adele would reschedule. Fans are a little upset about it.  The topic began trending on social media over the last few days. Adele has been living her best life. She’s co-habitating in a new So-Cal home with her boyfriend, Rich Paul. The two have sat courtside at several NBA playoff games as well.

So there is an album – that is turning 20 this year – and it’s being re-released. Eminem is bringing back his 2002 album The Eminem Show.  To celebrate the 20th anniversary of its release, Slim Shady is putting out an “Expanded Reissue” of the classic this Friday. The album includes songs like “Without Me,” “Sing for the Moment,” “Superman,” and “Cleanin’ Out My Closet.” Em teased the drop on Instagram with a video showing him staring at a bank of televisions and watching the music videos from the album. He captioned the post saying, “Well, if you want Shady, this is what I’ll give ya”

We all know someone who can take this advice…it’s time that we stop focusing on social media so much.  At least according to MIKE SHINODA (you know, the rapper in LINKIN PARK).  He says that in BUSINESS — labels are putting pressure on artists to prioritize their social media channels like Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok. In a series of Tweets, he said, quote, “How is a young artist expected to put in enough time to get great at their craft when they need to feed all these content channels? . . .The time they spent generating mind numbing ‘content’ might have been at the expense of the best song they never wrote.”

A live-action scripted TV series based on the animated show Speed Racer is in the works at Apple, with J.J. Abrams (LINK)’  set to exec produce the project. Sources say the live-action TV series has been in the works for years. The show landed at Apple some time ago and has been in the process of meeting and hiring its co-writers in recent months as sources note the development process has been excruciatingly slow.

Wanna watch Idris Elba punch a lion in the face?  If you do there is a first look at the trailer for a movie called BEAST that is coming out soon.  It’s pretty awesome.  A recently widowed husband returns to South Africa, where he first met his wife, on a long-planned trip with his young daughters to a game reserve managed by an old family friend and fellow wildlife biologist. Soon, however, a ferocious, man-hunting lion begins stalking them.  Again, check the trailer on the blog!

Douglas, Adam Driver, Clint Eastwood, Morgan Freeman, Chuck Norris, and Tom Selleck all have in common?  If you guessed – they have all served in the military – YOU’RE right!  Hollywood Reporter did a write up on each of these folks and a few others and discussed their time spent in the military.

To identify the most covered song in music history, 24/7 Tempo reviewed listings in the online cover song database SecondHandSongs. Christmas songs and folk songs were excluded from consideration. It should be noted that the number of covers given is probably a minimum.  So what is the most covered song in HISTORY?  “Summertime.” By George & Ira Gershwin. Here are the details: Covers: 2,169…With almost 2,200 recorded versions, “Summertime” is the most covered song ever. First performed in 1935 and first recorded by the same. Pete Seeger, Lou Rawls, the Righteous Brothers, Al Green and Lawrence Welk are among the many who have tried to put their stamp on it, and the version by Janis Joplin remains one of her most famous songs.

Speaking of covers – a website called SMOOTHRADIO ranked the best cover songs of all time..I have the top 5 and I want to see if you have any shot of getting them…

On eight occasions this season, the Blues put together winning streaks of three games or more. They won five in a row to start the season and won nine straight in April.

Well, they need one more three-game streak to keep their season alive, and got a start in that direction Wednesday with an improbable, mind-binding 5-4 overtime victory over the Colorado Avalanche at Ball Arena. The oldest Blue, Tyler Bozak, scored the game-winner at 3:38 of overtime as St. Louis rallied from a 3-0 deficit.

In the long, colorful history of Blues hockey, it was only the fifth time they’re rallied from a three-goal deficit in the playoffs and the first time since Game 3 of the conference quarterfinals against the Los Angeles Kings in 1998.

Robert Thomas (with two goals) couldn’t have picked a better time for his first goals of the postseason, and Vladimir Tarasenko couldn’t have picked a better time for his first goal of the series. Defenseman Nick Leddy had three assists, the most he’s ever had in 129 postseason games.

The other goal, originally credited to Justin Faulk on a net-front scramble, was changed to Jordan Kyrou more than an hour after the game by the NHL. It was a big one, tying the game at 3-3 with just 4:46 left in regulation.

And so there will be hockey in St. Louis on Friday at Enterprise Center, 7pm with the Blues still down three games to two in the best-of-seven series (LINK)

Cards take on the Brewers tonight at 645 from Busch Stadium

The Rams and NFL paid $790 million last year to settle a lawsuit with St. Louis over the team’s relocation to Los Angeles.

Now, the league is sorting how to cover that bill and already has spread some of that staggering expense between all 32 teams — meaning everyone is on the hook for at least several million. Owners discussed this at their annual spring meeting, which concluded Tuesday.

According to a report by The Athletic, the NFL already has taken $7.5 million from each club by deducting that amount from revenue-sharing payments. If the 31 other teams contribute that amount, that’s $232.5 million, or roughly a third of the settlement. The Los Angeles Times confirmed that the teams were assessed such payments, although not the specific amount.

It’s a hotly contested dispute among the teams because Rams owner Stan Kroenke was required to sign an indemnification agreement as part of his deal to relocate the team. The owners of the Chargers and Raiders signed identical agreements to cover the “costs, including legal fees and other litigation expenses” to defend challenges to their respective moves (LINK)

The goal for most players in the NFL’s Pro Bowl game is to avoid injury, and no one could blame them for having that outlook.

The NFL is aware the game more closely resembles a flag-football event than a regular-season contest. The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday the league is “discussing the Pro Bowl week and ways to improve it — including possibly eliminating the traditional game and using that Sunday to showcase the players in it.”

One idea that has been widely shared on social media is turning the Pro Bowl into a skills competition. But former Bengals wide receiver Chad “Ocho Cinco” Johnson came up with a different plan.

“Have the current pro bowlers play against the past era of pro bowlers,” Johnson wrote on Twitter, “like an old school vs new school, don’t even need pads, can be flag formatted, would break the viewing ratings for a Pro Bowl easily…” Fans who sat through the AFC’s 41-35 win over the NFC in February thought Johnson’s idea was perfect. Needless to say twitter and all the comment sites went crazy with this idea pressuring the NFL to take note and get it done (LINK)
