The new Hulu documentary “Controlling Britney Spears” shows just how closely Dad JAMIE was watching her.  If they’re true, of course.A guy who worked for a security firm called Black Box claims that Jamie hired them to spy on her.  First, they set up an encryption system on her mobile devices, so that Dad Jamie would see any emails or texts Britney sent or received. He also claims Jamie had them set up some kind of listening device in Britney’s BEDROOM.  He says he was once ordered to destroy some of the recordings (LINK)

Seems the crowd at Louder Than Life weren’t too thrilled with MGK’s recent burns on Slipknot and Corey Taylor at Riot Fest saying that he was happy “not being 50 years old wearing a f**king weird mask on the f**king stage”; an obvious dig on Slipknot. He had also said that Corey Taylor’s feature on one of his songs was so terrible he couldn’t use it.  But then Taylor had the receipts showing that he actually turned down MGK and Travis Barker’s request to record more for the album. Cut to Louder Than Life Music Festival and here is some sound while he is up there. He also threw a punch a someone who jump a barricade to try to get at him.

GUNS N’ ROSES have an EP called “Hard Skool” coming February 25th. It’ll be exclusive to their online store, and preorders have already started.  You can do CD, vinyl, or . . . if you want you don’t care about  sound quality but DO care about being cool . . . cassette. It’ll include four songs:  the recently released “Hard Skool . . . “Absurd”, which was released last month . . . and live versions of “Don’t Cry” and “You’re Crazy” (LINK)

Pat Sajak says he and Vanna will be with Wheel of Fortune for about 10 more years.  Pat said”I wouldn’t bet on seeing us in, like, 10 years, I would say. Is that fair [to say]?” Vanna White, who replied, “Probably, yes. We’ve been together for like 38 years and he’s like my brother,” she said. “He’s funny. I mean, we could finish each other’s sentences if we wanted to. We know each other that well.”

Well, “American Gladiators” is getting another reboot! The WWE is teaming up with MGM to bring the show back.  Only this time, the Gladiators will be WWE superstars.  No other details have been announced yet. The original series aired from 1989 to 1996 in syndication . . . then NBC brought it back in 2008 with HULK HOGAN and LAILA ALI hosting (LINK)

F9 director Justin Lin says Fast & Furious’ last chapter will be in two movies.  F10, which sounds like it could end on a cliffhanger, is set to hit theaters in April 7th, 2023.

“Tiger King 2” is coming to Netflix before the end of the year, and CAROLE BASKIN is NOT happy about it.  And when Carole Baskin isn’t happy, people DISAPPEAR.  Carole did NOT take part in this one.  She says the director said they wanted to “clear the air” about how she was treated in the first “Tiger King”, but she told them to LOSE HER NUMBER. She adds, quote, “There is no explanation for such a betrayal and false portrayal.  If people want to know the actual truth behind the big cat crisis in the U.S. and how it all started, they should be demanding to see ‘The Conservation Game’ film by Michael Webber. “His film answers the important questions that ‘Tiger King’ glossed over.” Netflix isn’t saying much about “TK2” yet, but obviously, JOE EXOTIC could only participate from BEHIND BARS

Things WERE looking up for “Wedding Crashers 2” . . . that is until OWEN WILSON committed to doing Disney’s new “Haunted Mansion” movie. Don’t blame Owen though, his Disney deal happened right before the final “Wedding Crashers 2” script came in. Owen, VINCE VAUGHN, RACHEL MCADAMS, and ISLA FISHER . . . along with the original director . . . were all set to return.  Welp . . . since there was enough interest and there’s a script . . . maybe there’s hope for the future (LINK)

Disney’s Marvel (LINK) unit is suing to hold on to full control of Avengers characters including Iron Man, Spider-Man, Dr. Strange, Ant-Man, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Falcon, Thor and others. The complaints come against the heirs of some late comic book geniuses including Stan Lee, Steve Ditko and Gene Colan. The suits seek declaratory relief that these blockbuster characters are ineligible for copyright termination as works made for hire. If Marvel loses, Disney would have to share ownership of characters worth billions. If the plaintiffs win, Disney expects to at least hold on to at least a share of character rights as co-owners. The studio would have to share profits with the others. Additionally, the termination provisions of copyright law only apply in the United States, allowing Disney to continue to control and profit from foreign exploitation

WILLIAM SHATNER is going to ride JEFF BEZOS’ giant penis into orbit next month.  And he’ll film it for a documentary. At 90 years old, that’ll make him the oldest person ever to go to space.  The previous record was just set back in July, when 82-year-old WALLY FUNK rode Bezos’ giant penis. Obviously, all your “Star Trek” “where no man has gone before” jokes are valid here.  But one website pointed out another interesting angle:  Shatner will be the first WWE Hall of Famer in space (LINK)

Grimes and Elon Musk are “semi-separated,” “We are semi-separated but still love each other, see each other frequently, and are on great terms,” Musk said. “It’s mostly that my work at SpaceX and Tesla requires me to be primarily in Texas or traveling overseas and her work is primarily in L.A. She’s staying with me now and Baby X is in the adjacent room.” Grimes and Elon Musk first publicly revealed their relationship at the 2018 Met Gala. In May 2020, Grimes gave birth to their son X Æ A-XII (LINK)

Sports Report 1

This weekend for the Cardinals saw a lot of things go their way.  The continued success at the plate from Paul Goldschmidt and Tyler O’Neil….the continued ability to close out games…and the weirdest double play you’ve seen in a long time.  On Saturday – one their way to their 15th win in a row….the Cards pulled off a 3-2-5-4-2-8-6 double play.  Yesterday, the team continued to roll and picked up their 16TH win in a row.  Their 16-game win streak is tied with the 1909 Pirates for the third-longest streak in the months of September and October since 1900. Another remarkable part of this streak is that the Cardinals have won 11 straight road games within it. And not any 11 road games, but their final 11 of the season. Their magic number to clinch a spot in the Wild Card…is at ONE.

The Cardinals are at home for their final 6 games.  They start things off with a 6:45PM game against the Brewers tomorrow night.  Adam Wainwright gets the start.

We will go over our picks in just a second but lets talk about a few things over the weekend involving the NFL…

As soon as Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker hit the ball, he hoped he would not come up short like he did on a couple of 65-yarders in pregame warm-ups. But, after the ball bounced high off the crossbar and through the uprights, Tucker sprinted down the field, where he was swarmed by teammates and lifted up in celebration. Tucker’s 66-yard field goal — the longest in NFL history — lifted the Ravens to a 19-17 victory over the Lions on Sunday. Tucker’s 66-yarder beat out Matt Prater’s 64-yard field goal in 2013 as the longest in NFL history. Tucker is more than the record holder for the longest kick and the most accurate kicker in NFL history. He’s also the most clutch. Tucker improved to 16-for-16 in his NFL career on field goals in the final minute of regulation.

Speaking of game winning field goals – over in San Francisco, the 49ers looked like after a late score, they were cruising on their way to a win.  However – we forget that Aaron Rodgers can Aaron Rodgers.  He got the team within kicking distance…and here’s what happened.

Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid left Arrowhead Stadium in an ambulance on yesterday after getting sick after the teams loss to the Chargers. Reid did not address media after the game. According to the Chiefs, he was suffering from dehydration and should make a full recovery.

Mizzou was on the road and lost to Boston College 41-34 in overtime on Saturday.   Mizzou is currently 2-2.  Their next game is against Tennessee on Saturday in Columbia.  Kick off is scheduled for 11AM.  And Illinois lost to Purdue on Saturday.  They have a game at home against Charlotte at 11AM on Saturday.

After a dominating performance over the weekend…it was nice to see the US captain – Steve Stricker – hoist the Ryder Cup on Sunday.  The youngest U.S. team in history handed Europe its worst loss and delivered a message about how serious it is about changing the tone of these matches. Daniel Berger won the final hole in the final match for the final point in a 19-9 victory, setting a record  for the largest defeat in Ryder Cup since 1979. The six U.S. Ryder Cup rookies scored more points than all of Europe, combining for a 14-4-3 record. The Americans didn’t lose a session for the first time in 44 years. Dustin Johnson became the first American to go 5-0 since 1979. The Americans had four of the top five in the world ranking.

A pair of Michael Jordan’s USED boxers were on the auction block over the weekend . . . and someone snapped them up for $2,784.  Okay, they probably weren’t too gross . . . because they came with a dry-cleaning tag.  But according to the listing, they showed evidence of “definite use.”  The drawers were provided by Jordan’s friend and bodyguard John Michael Wozniak, who appeared in that “Last Dance” documentary.  He also provided some suits, coats, dress shirts, and ties for the auction.

And finally — Denny Hamlin punched his ticket to the next round of the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs with a victory Sunday in the South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Hamlin held off Chase Elliott for the checkered flag, and Kyle Busch was a distant third place. Martin Truex Jr. and Ryan Blaney rounded out the top five. It was a dominant display from Hamlin. He led 137 of the race’s 267 laps.
