If someone hit you up on Tinder claiming to be Shaquille O’Neal, and you blew them off because you didn’t believe them, you may have made a huge mistake.  On “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” last week, Shaq said he DID get on Tinder . . . but it didn’t work out. (LINK)

“Yo Gabba Gabba!” is coming back.  After ending in 2015 on Nickelodeon, the children’s show is being revived exclusively for Apple TV+.  There will be 20 NEW 30-minute episodes, along with all 66 of the older episodes. Not much else is known yet, like if LANCE ROBERTSON a.k.a. DJ Lance Rock will be returning.  Fingers crossed for fun celebrity cameos again.  At least we will be able to re-watch the episodes with JACK BLACK, DEVO, ANDY SAMBERG, and the late BIZ MARKIE (LINK)

The FOO FIGHTERS won the U.S. Global Icon Award, and DAVE GROHL thanked all the “past and present” people at MTV, like Kurt Loder, Tabitha Soren, Matt Pinfield, and J.J. Jackson whom he mistakenly called J.J. JOHNSON before his band corrected him.

Prior to the MTV Video Music Awards last night, there was a skirmish between Machine Gun Kelly and MMA fighter Conor McGregor on the red carpet.  MGK and his girlfriend, actress Megan Fox, seem to be confronted by McGregor.  When some words were said, McGregor lunged toward Kelly and he was restrained by security.  It was reported that McGregor was turned down by the couple for a photo-op, but his publicist says that’s not true. Here is McGregor making everything clear as mud

BRITNEY SPEARS is essentially running her own self now and wasted no time getting engaged to her boyfriend Sam Asghari. She showed off the ring on Instagram yesterday, along with the caption, “I can’t [effing] believe it.”  They have been pretty low key but been together about 5 years meeting when he did her “Slumber Party” video.  She’s 39, he’s 27 (LINK)

ALANIS MORISSETTE is finally coming to terms with the fact that several men took advantage of her when she was an up-and-coming pop star. In a new documentary called “Jagged”, she says, quote, “It took me years in therapy to even admit there had been any kind of victimization on my part. “I would always say I was consenting, and then I’d be reminded like ‘Hey, you were 15, you’re not consenting at 15.’ “Now I’m like, ‘Oh yeah, they’re all pedophiles.  It’s all statutory rape.'” Alanis says she did tell some people at the time, but it, quote, “kind of fell on deaf ears.” Alanis didn’t name any of the men.  She’s also not cooperating with the makers of “Jagged” anymore because she’s not happy with the finished product.  There’s no word what she’s unhappy with. Sept 18th at Hollywood Casino Amphitheater (LINK)

A young woman named Lidia Matiss is suing dog whisperer Cesar Millan, claiming that Junior his pit bull attacked her, repeatedly bit her legs, and ruined her gymnastics career. Lidia’s mom worked for Cesar, and the attack happened when she went to visit her at work.  She claims Junior was just roaming around the halls freely when the attack happened. Supposedly, she was a star gymnast being recruited by colleges at the time, but her injuries left her unable to perform. Lidia says Cesar let Junior roam free even though he KNEW he was violent.  In fact, Junior had allegedly mauled several dogs, and even KILLED one belonging to QUEEN LATIFAH . . .AND Cesar tried to cover up the incident by claiming Queen Latifah’s dog was hit by a car (LINK)

Metallica was on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Friday and read from a few Amazon one-star reviews of the black album. JAMES HETFIELD was moved to tears when ELTON JOHN said “Nothing Else Matters” is, quote, “one of the best songs ever written.” Elton performs the song with MILEY CYRUS on that new “Metallica Blacklist” album (LINK)

The Yellowstone prequel, 1883 already has Sam Elliott, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are handling the lead roles. And now, we’ve learned that Billy Bob Thornton has signed on to guest star as Marshal Jim Courtright. He just finished the fourth and final season of the Amazon series, Goliath. 1883 is set for release on December 19th on Paramount+.

We already know that LAURENCE FISHBURNE isn’t in “The Matrix Resurrections”.  But his character Morpheus, IS. In the trailer that just came out, YAHYA ABDUL-MATEEN THE SECOND looks a lot like a young Morpheus.  And he just confirmed it by captioning a photo of himself with “Morpheus”. In a past interview, Laurence had said, quote, “I am not in the next ‘Matrix’ movie and you’d have to ask Lana Wachowski why, ’cause I don’t have an answer for that.” “The Matrix Resurrections” hits theaters and HBO Max on December 22nd (LINK)

Yesterday in the 1st, Nolan Arenado went deep to left field to give the Cardinals a 2-0 lead.  And…that was also the final.  The Cards are now just a game and a half out of the Wild Card.  Today the Cardinals are back in action on the road against the Mets.  First pitch is scheduled for 6:10PM.

Los Angeles Dodgers ace Max Scherzer became the 19th pitcher in MLB history to record 3,000 career strikeouts Sunday. The three-time Cy Young winner entered his start against the Padres needing just six more K’s to reach the mark. He got there by the fifth inning, striking out one in the first, three in second—an immaculate inning, no less—one in the third and one in the fifth, using 51 pitches total to hit the milestone. Scherzer joins Bob Gibson, Nolan Ryan, Roger Clemens, Randy Johnson, Greg Maddux, Curt Schilling, Pedro Martinez, John Smoltz, CC Sabathia, Justin Verlander and a few other Hall of Fame greats. He’s gone over the 250-K mark in a season five times and exceeded 200 K’s in nine consecutive seasons with the exception of 2020’s pandemic-shortened campaign. The Missouri native still finished with 92 strikeouts in 67.1 innings.

Francisco Lindor whistled at the Yankees, and he sent the ball whistling over the wall — three times. In the midst of a miserable first season with the Mets, Lindor kept alive his new team’s postseason chances and dropped its crosstown rival out of a playoff position. He nearly set off a brawl when he taunted his opponents after his second home run, then he broke an eighth-inning tie with his third long ball in the Subway Series-ending 7-6 victory on Sunday night. Lindor hit a three-run homer batting left-handed in the second inning off on a hanging breaking ball, had a solo homer in the sixth hitting right-handed on a  changeup and broke a 7-7 tie from the left side on a fastball. It was the first career three-homer game for Lindor. He became the first player with a three-homer outing in the 139-game history of the Subway Series.

The Blues released their Winter Classic jerseys for their upcoming outdoor game against the Minnesota Wild next year.  And…you remember the Winter Classic Jersey’s that the Blue wore when they played at Busch?!  It’s the reverse of that.  Its basically the away version of the old Winter Classic jersey.  Reactions have been mixed but I think they are pretty sharp.

Washington quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick has been knocked out of Sunday’s matchup against the Chargers in the second quarter with a hip injury.  Fitzpatrick, playing with his ninth NFL team, will not return. He had completed three of six passes for 13 yards before exiting the game. With nine minutes left in the second quarter and Washington down 10–6, Fitzpatrick was hit by a Chargers linebacker as he released a throw. The 17-year NFL veteran immediately grabbed his side before being helped by the training staff.  Taylor Heinicke – former St. Louis Battlehawk – got into the game as his replacement and almost led them to a win.

The Carolina Panthers’ 19-14 victory over the New York Jets was historic but not for any of the action by any of the players in pads. Maia Chaka was the first Black woman to work as an official in an NFL game. The league announced (LINK) in March she would join the list of game officials for the upcoming season. Shannon Eastin became (LINK) the first woman to officiate an NFL game in August 2012, and Sarah Thomas was the first woman to work a Super Bowl, joining the crew (LINK) as a down judge for Super Bowl LV.

In college football – Mizzou lost to Kentucky 35-28 on the road.  Their next game is Saturday against SEMO.  Also, Illinois lost to Virginia 42-14 putting them at 0-3 on the year.  They play Maryland on Friday.

Daniil Medvedev won the first major championship of his career in stunning fashion, defeating world No. 1 Novak Djokovic (LINK) in the 2021 U.S. Open final on Sunday. The upset victory denied Djokovic a chance at winning the first calendar-year Grand Slam in men’s singles tennis since 1969. The win is a rare breakthrough in an era that Djokovic, Nadal and Federer have dominated. The latter two missed the U.S. Open entirely, and their age may finally open up more opportunities for young talent like Medvedev to shine
