• Bowiedocumentary, “Moonage Daydream” which is described as ‘an illuminating tale in Bowie’s own narration and told through sublime, kaleidoscopic, never before seen footage, performances and music.’ It lands April 29th on HBO Max.

• The Kramer guitar Eddie Van Halen played in the video for Van Halen’s “Hot for Teacher” sold at auction for $3,932,000. It was estimated to sell for between $2 million and $3 million, and it’s now one of the 10 most expensive guitars ever sold at auction.
• Funko has released one of its Pop Albumsbox sets for Soundgarden‘s Badmotorfinger. It features dolls of all four members plus a stand that looks like a record with the Badmotorfinger logo in the middle.

TV:

• While prosecutors reportedly plan to drop criminal charges against AlecBaldwin, he’s not off the hook in the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. In a statement, special prosecutors said they may refile after “further investigation.”  According to the release, “Over the last few days and in preparation for the May 3rd, 2023, preliminary hearing, new facts were revealed that demand further investigation and forensic analysis in the case against Alexander ‘Alec’ Rae Baldwin, III. … We therefore will be dismissing the involuntary manslaughter charges against Mr. Baldwin to conduct further investigation. This decision does not absolve Mr. Baldwin of criminal culpability and charges may be refiled. Our follow-up investigation will remain active and on-going.” A virtual status hearing has been set for Friday in Santa Fe.
• Princess Diana, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle are being requested by the customers of ‘Toymakers at Inferno’ which is an adult toy company which makes celebrity sex dolls. The company has been ‘inundated with requests for look-alike life-size playthings’ — but the company’s CEO says “taste” and “decency” prevent him from fulfilling kinky customers’ racy royal requests.
  • “We get requests for Princess Diana regularly, especially after the latest series of ‘The Crown,’ but we would never open ourselves up to accusations of cheapening her memory,” CEO Ben Stroud told South West News Service on Wednesday.
• Sony Pictures announced some of their ‘Spider-Man’ movies will premiere on Disney+ today and throughout the next couple of months. All three of Sam Raimi’s films as well as the first ‘The Amazing Spider Man’ film hit the streaming service today. Expected in May will be the 2017 movie, ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ as well as 2018’s ‘Venom’

• “White Men Can’t Jump” is getting a remake by Kenya Barris (creator of Blackish, BlackAF, etc.) on Hulu and the first trailer dropped last night. Based on the same premise as the 1992 film starring Woody Harrelson and Wesley Snipes as they try to win $500,000 at a basketball tournament, all the while becoming friends and realizing what they have in common – which is a lot. Rapper Jack Harlow and Sinqua Walls star in the remake. It comes out on May 19^th on Hulu.
