Leslie Jordan, who played Beverley Leslie on “Will & Grace”, died yesterday after crashing his car into a building in Hollywood. He was 67 years old. He may have suffered some sort of medical emergency that caused the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Leslie won an Emmy for “Will & Grace” in 2006. He also appeared on “Call Me Kat” with Mayim Bialik, the Fox sitcom “The Cool Kids”, and three seasons of “American Horror Story”. Leslie became a social media SUPERSTAR when he started posting videos during the pandemic. He was also a gospel singer, and he posted this video the day before his death.
I guess in a world where Kylie Jenner can say she’s “self-made,” she can also claim to be “naturally” gorgeous. That’s what she appeared to do in a video she posted with her longtime makeup artist Ariel Tejada. In the clip, Ariel has just finished touching up Kylie’s face, and says, quote, “I barely did anything.” To which Kylie replies, quote, “Yeah, and it’s really, really [effing] pretty. ‘Cause I don’t need much, Ariel.” Ariel says it’s because Kylie is, quote, “naturally gorgeous” . . . and Kylie says, “I’m naturally . . .” and then the video cut off.
Welcome back, Superman! Henry Cavill just confirmed that he will don the red and blue tights once again to play Superman in future DC movies. The Superman actor made the announcement on Monday following his cameo in the post-credits scene of Black Adam. “A very small taste of what’s to come, my friends. The dawn of hope renewed. Thank you for your patience, it will be rewarded,” he captioned the clip on Instagram. “I wanted to wait until the weekend was over before posting this, because I wanted to give you all a chance to watch Black Adam,” the actor said. “But now that plenty of you have, I want to make it official: I am back as Superman.” The last time Cavill appeared as Superman on the big screen was in 2017’s Justice League.

((AUDIO)) A couple of women in the studio audience of “The View” yesterday began screaming protests for climate change during an interview segment with Ted Cruz. Whoopi wasn’t having it. Joy Behar throws in a zinger about “I take back what I said about Yankees fans.” Ted Cruz has his own, referring to the recent soup-splattering of a Van Gogh painting.

Dave Chappelle is playing both sides. He’s appeared onstage with Chris Rock several times already, and they just announced a co-headlining tour. But yesterday, Will Smith posted pictures from a private screening of his upcoming movie “Emancipation”, and guess who was there? Dave Chappelle. They were joined by Tyler Perry, Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, Kenya Barris, and others. For the record, Chappelle has never really taken sides. During a show in England, he said that Will, quote, “did an impression of a perfect man for 30 years.” But he added that he, quote, “ripped his mask off and showed us he was as ugly as the rest of us. Whatever the consequences are . . . I hope he doesn’t put his mask back on again, and lets his real face breathe.”
Billy McFarland, the man behind the infamous Fyre Festival, has a new project on the horizon … and it might be similar to what got him in so much trouble in the first place. Billy posted a teaser clip to TikTok Monday … fessing up to his wrongs at the last festival — before hinting at what’s next. He says he’s got something new coming — showing a treasure map … as well as a brief look at a phone number. We checked it out, and once contacting the number, you’re asked for contact info and given a video clue as to what’s coming from Billy. Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ he’s creating another festival, among other things in the near future. As we reported, Billy was released from prison early back in March, spending 4 of his 6-year sentence behind bars. He was transferred to community confinement and was expected to stay in confinement through the end of August. Of course, the infamous Fyre Festival was organized by Billy back in 2017 and was set to go down in the Bahamas — before quickly turning into a disaster. He ended up pleading guilty to 2 counts of wire fraud over the disastrous failed event.
Congrats are in order for Red Hot Chili Peppers, as the band has become the first rock band in 17 years to place two No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 Album chart within the same calendar year. The band just scored that feat with their second album of 2022, Return of the Dream Canteen, which has been bolstered by the current single “Tippa My Tongue.” The Chili Peppers also topped the Billboard 200 Album Chart back in April with their Unlimited Love album. In case you’re wondering, the last rock band to previously double down on No. 1’s in the same year was System of a Down, who achieved the feat with their Mezmerize and Hypnotize albums back in 2005. The band recently wrapped their 2022 touring, but will be returning to the road in early 2023. See their scheduled dates listed here.

Salman Rushdie is still recovering from that brutal knife attack in Western New York state over the summer, but he WILL recover. But the attack left its mark. Wylie says, quote, “[His wounds] were profound, but he’s [also] lost the sight of one eye . . . He had three serious wounds in his neck. One hand is incapacitated because the nerves in his arm were cut. And he has about 15 more wounds in his chest and torso.” Rushdie is 75 years old. His attacker, 24-year-old Hadi Matar of Fairview, New Jersey, has pleaded not guilty.
In case you missed it, Lena Dunham is writing and directing a live-action Polly Pocket movie with Lily Collins as Polly. It’ll be about Polly encountering a “big” world. Lena said she’s currently finishing her second draft of the script. Quote, “Let’s just say Polly Pocket was at her best when she was the original teensy tiny ’90s size . . . “They made her a little bigger now, which I support, because of choking hazards. But I’m writing ’90s tiny.” No word when it’s expected to start filming or be released.
Back in July, Derek Berry — this time working with the events platform Bucket Listers — helped launch The Golden Girls Kitchen in the Los Angeles area. Now, that pop-up is slated to start a run in New York City next month. Billed as a “fully immersive pop-up restaurant” that takes “fans of all ages to 1980s Miami, safely transporting them into the world of their favorite golden gals,” The Golden Girls Kitchen will open on Wednesday, November 16 at Skorpios in Midtown Manhattan. Beyond the new location, the other details are very similar to the pop-up that ran in Beverly Hills. The ticketed fast-casual restaurant will give customers a reserved seat and guaranteed 90-minute window for dining, entree and cheesecake included, all of which Bucket Listers says is “served by a lovable Shady Pines waiter.” Menu options include items like Sophia’s Lasagna Al Forno, The Lanai: A “Miami-Style” Cuban Sandwich, Blanche’s Georgia Style Cookie, and the Bacon Lettuce Potato Sandwich (Say It Fast). Cheesecake varieties include chocolate, strawberry, pumpkin, and Oreo, or you can upgrade to the Sperheoven Krispies which includes cheesecake, strawberries, and chocolate ice cream. And don’t fret: Cocktails and mocktails are also available.
DJ Shaquille O’Neal tried to set a Guinness World Record last month at the the Lost Lands Festival. Performing under his moniker DJ Diesel, Shaq took the stage after putting the call out to his fans. “Should we go for Guinness world record for biggest moshpit at@lost_lands???,” he tweeted. It looked like the fans came prepared to give Shaq what he was asking for as the mosh pit activity was heavy during his set. As for whether Shaq completed the “largest mosh pit” at Lost Lands, that may be hard to figure out. When DevilDriver claimed to have broken the Guinness World Record for “largest circle pit” at 2007’s Download Festival, the Guinness committee rejected the attempt due to the inability to “define where any circle/mosh pit starts and ends.” So an official record may be hard to come by where the “largest mosh pit” is concerned.
10-year-old Blue Ivy Carter was almost able to look you in the eye and say, “These earrings cost more than your CAR!” Because on Saturday night, she attended an auction with her parents Beyoncé and Jay-Z, where she bid more than $80,000 on a pair of diamond earrings. I don’t mean that her mom or dad bid on them for her. She had her own paddle, and when the bidding hit 80-grand, she threw it up in the air.
She didn’t win the earrings, though. They eventually went to someone else for $105,000 . . . which was apparently out of her price range.
One of U2’s biggest regrets came in 2014 when the band partnered with Apple to add their Songs of Innocence album onto everyone’s iPods, a move that Bono now admits was an “overreach” and he now regrets. He talks about it in his new memoir. An excerpt from the book was published over the weekend, with Bono explaining how the idea came about and taking full responsibility for what happened after. Reflecting on how things played out, Bono says, “I take full responsibility. I’d thought if we could just put our music within reach of people, they might choose to reach out toward it. Not quite. As one person on social media put it, ‘Woke up this morning to find Bono in my kitchen, drinking my coffee, wearing my dressing gown, reading my paper.’ Or, less kind, ‘The free U2 album is overpriced.’ Mea culpa.”

Man somebody has the Blues number. Winnipeg’s 4-0 win over the Blues on Monday night gave the Jets points in six straight games against St. Louis (6-0-1). And over the last 23 contests, the Jets are 17-4-2 against the Blues. For only the second time in franchise history, the Blues played three consecutive games at the start of a season without trailing. They made it to 3½ games Monday, but couldn’t tie the franchise record of four straight games. The scoreless streak lasted 114 minutes 9 seconds, or nearly two full games. With a night shot of the Gateway Arch and the St. Louis skyline shown on the video board at Canada Life Centre, a moment of silence was held before puck drop in honor of the victims of Monday’s St. Louis high school shooting. https://www.stltoday.com/sports/hockey/professional/quick-hits-blues-grounded-again-by-jets-as-theyre-blanked/article_b633bd21-ba70-5a5a-a221-de1aa2b61ab8.html
Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have gotten off to a bad start this season, and no one seems to be enjoying it more than Antonio Brown.
The Bucs were 13-point favorites heading into their game against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, but they barely even competed. Brady went 32/49 for 290 yards and no touchdowns in the 21-3 blowout loss. Brown trolled his former teammate on Twitter by sharing a hilarious photoshopped picture that went viral. The original photo was from when Brown stripped off his uniform in the middle of a game last year and left the field (video here). That was his last game with the Bucs, and he has not played in the NFL since. Proving that no topic is off-limits, Brown then shared another photoshopped image on his Snapchat story. This one depicted Brady’s wife Gisele Bundchen with her arms around AB. Brown loves pressing buttons, which is what he has been trying to do with Brady this season. Brady and Gisele are reportedly going through a divorce that does not seem all that civil. This is not the first time Brown has subtly made reference to that on social media.
Brady probably is not paying much attention to Brown these days, but it has to sting that he tried to help the receiver revive his career and has now become the punchline of Brown’s cheap jokes.
The Buccaneers fell to 3-4 on the season with their loss to Carolina. They have a tough home game against the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night.
Justin Field ran for a touchdown and threw for another and the Bears (3-4) rolled past the Patriots (3-4). David Montgomery put the game away with a fourth-quarter scoring run. Cairo Santos booted four field goals to 50 yards. Chicago 33 – NEW ENGLAND 14
There is some famous mattress salesman guy by the name of Jim McIgnvale aka Mattress Mack who uses the earnings from the mattress sales to place astronomical amounts of money on sports bets.
Sometimes it works in his favor — like his 2020 bet on the Super Bowl — but mostly he just loses a lot. That includes the $3.25 million he bet on the Houston Astros to win last year’s World Series, which would’ve returned $35.6 million.
This year McIngvale has $10 million on the Astros, and he’s just four wins from winning $75 million after they swept the Yankees to advance to the World Series.
The only thing between him and what would be the largest recorded payout in legal sports betting history are the Philadelphia Phillies. We wrote in May about the initial $3 million bet he placed on the Astros. But since then, he increased his stake by another $7 million.
Of course, a loss doesn’t actually mean McIngvale is out that much money. He uses promotional mattress sales as hedges for his bets, promising customers their money back if the team he bets on wins, which drives sales to cover the cost of his bet.
That’s particularly effective when the money is on a Houston-area team, where most of his customers are likely to also be fans and optimistic about their chances.

Remember last week I mentioned that Roy Jones Jr. is coming back to fight in one of those Celebrity Boxing type things and we were waiting to see who he’d fight? Well looks like we have an answer and this guy is big. Roy Jones Jr. has fought some big dudes … but never anyone this big!
53-year-old Jones Jr. will fight Robert Wilmote, AKA NDO Champ, a social media star and IFBB bodybuilding professional on January 28 in Miami.
It’s being said there will be five one-minute rounds. NDO Champ (it stands for “No Days Off”) is 38-years-old … and stands 5’8″. He reportedly weighs around 230 pounds.
Wilmote, who was born in Liberia and came to the U.S. as a kid to avoid civil war, is absolutely massive … and has competed in many big bodybuilding competitions over the years, including 2nd in the Super Heavyweight division at the Arnold Classic in 2019.
Robert hasn’t competed in several years but said just yesterday he planned to return to the stage soon. Roy last fought in November 2020 … in an eight-round exhibition fight against Mike Tyson. The fight was ruled a draw.
He also has some fighting experience … and has even sparred with Andre Berto.
