A school board member in Hackensack, New Jersey resigned after she accidentally left her camera on while she used the bathroom during a Zoom meeting . . . so almost 150 people saw her doing her business. I’m guessing this is the first time in history college kids have told their parents they want to come home for Thanksgiving and their parents are like, “Nah.” Parents all over are telling their kids in college NOT to come home for Thanksgiving because of the risk.

THE WEEKND was a big Grammy snub. His new album “After Hours” has been a big commercial AND critical success, but no nominations. TMZ says it was on purpose saying the Recording Academy was in talks with The Weeknd to perform at the ceremony . . . but he turned them down to do the Super Bowl halftime show. The Super Bowl is the weekend after the Grammys, and apparently it wouldn’t have been feasible to do both. The Weeknd didn’t comment to TMZ directly, but right after the report came out, he Tweeted, quote, “The Grammys remain corrupt. You owe me, my fans, and the industry transparency.” But Recording Academy boss Harvey Mason Jr. says nothing fishy happened . . . The Weeknd just didn’t get enough votes. He said, quote, “We understand that The Weeknd is disappointed at not being nominated . . . unfortunately, every year, there are fewer nominations than the number of deserving artists.” And he added, “To be clear, voting in all categories ended well before The Weeknd’s performance at the Super Bowl was announced, so in no way could it have affected the nomination process.” Justin Bieber is also upset at the Academy, but he WAS nominated. He says he wanted to be nominated in the R&B categories, not the pop categories.
BTW… Taylor Swift announced yesterday that she did a concert film for her latest release, Folklore, which will premiere on Disney+ today. It is being called her most important work to date. Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions, she directed it, was filmed in upstate New York in September.

If you are a fan of Dave Chappelle please DON’T watch old Chappelle show reruns on HBO MAX. That’s straight from Dave’s mouth.(AUDIO) He posted an 18-minute live performance video on Instagram saying he’s very upset with HBO, because they’re streaming old episodes of “Chappelle’s Show”. Legally yes but it still sucks (AUDIO) He IS ok with Netflix though because they were cool about it when he talked with them (AUDIO)also, he recalled the first time he was introduced on stage
DREW BARRYMORE did a good thing for a couple who’s wedding was called off because of Covid. She staged a wedding for them! She did the nice emotional video package of the couple who is so in love right? Then there was the sit down interview of how they met etc. They “met several years ago in school through mutual friends,” and have been together for seven years. Selina is 24 now. If you do the math, that means Selina was 17 when they hooked up. So Dan would be about the same age, right? Well, not quite. Video of the segment hit YouTube, several people mentioned that yes they met in high school when she was a student and he was her teacher. One of the commenters said, quote, “I just hope he’s more observant of his marriage vows than he was of the law when he started dating her.” There’s no word yet from Drew, her show, or the new couple.

JOHNNY ROTTEN from the SEX PISTOLS has befriended the squirrels at his Los Angeles home. He feeds them, lets them inside, and even allows them to “nudge up” to him if they want to. Unfortunately, squirrels get fleas . . . and they’ve passed them on to Johnny. He says, quote, “I looked down there this morning at my willy and there’s [an effing] flea bite on it. And there’s another one on the inside of my leg.” He adds, quote, “The bites, wow, last night was murder because of it. The itching too. It’s such a poxy thing to get caught out on. “The only way around it, because I’m not going to blame the poor little squirrels, is to Vaseline my legs. I just hope they don’t get the wrong idea.”

Rays star Randy Arozarena was detained in Mexico after an incident in which he allegedly attempted to take his daughter from her mother and then assaulted the woman’s father. MLB is investigating the incident. Arozarena has not yet been charged. Arozarena allegedly hit his ex-wife at the home she and his daughter are living in. Arozarena hit his ex-father-in-law while trying to leave with his daughter. The fight appeared to draw attention from nearby neighbors, who stopped Arozarena at a traffic light following the incident. Arozarena, 25, played in just 23 regular-season games in 2020 after dealing with COVID-19. He thrived in the postseason and set a single-postseason MLB record with 10 home runs. Arozarena was initially in the Cardinals organization but was traded to Tampa Bay last January.
Three games for you to check out tomorrow on Thanksgiving. At 11:30AM – the Lions will host the Texans. The 3:30 game has the Washington Football Team heading to Dallas to take on the Cowboys..and the night game is the Steelers hosting the Ravens. Make your picks at 1057thepoint.com/picks…but…before you do…know this…
The Ravens have become aware of ANOTHER positive COVID-19 tests on the team ahead of Thursday’s game against the Steelers. The Ravens issued a statement announcing that Tuesday’s team activities will be held virtually and their media session has been canceled. Adam Schefter reported the Ravens have had five players and four staffers test positive, adding that “further positives” could mean a postponement of their game Thursday night. As of now, the status of the game has not changed in the wake of the positive tests.
Marshawn Lynch has become quite the traveler in recent years. The former Seahawks running back found himself in Honolulu this week ahead of Thanksgiving. Lynch didn’t travel to Hawaii for a simple vacation. He spent much of Monday handing out turkeys to residents in their cars and donated 200 turkeys through Lynch’s Fam 1st Family Foundation. The five-time Pro Bowler was spotted handing out free masks in Oakland in April. Lynch retired in April 2019 after 12 NFL seasons. He rushed for 10,379 yards and 84 touchdowns in his career, winning the Super Bowl with Seattle in 2014.
Alabama is No. 1 in the initial College Football Playoff rankings, followed by Notre Dame, Clemson and Ohio State, while BYU debuts at No. 14 despite a 9-0 start to its season. No. 5 is Texas A&M, No. 6 Florida and No. 9 Georgia. Auburn, at No. 22, gives the conference five teams in the overall rankings. Georgia is the highest-rated two-loss team, despite double-digit defeats to Alabama and Florida, and Clemson, which lost its only game to Notre Dame in two overtimes while playing without starting quarterback Trevor Lawrence, is the highest-rated one-loss team.
Wisconsin’s home football game Saturday has been canceled after Minnesota paused all team-related activities as it responds to positive COVID-19 cases in the program.
The game will not be rescheduled, per Big Ten policy, and will be ruled a no contest. It’s the Badgers’ third game to be canceled this season, following matchups against Nebraska and Purdue that were called off because of positive COVID-19 cases within the Wisconsin program. The cancellation ends the longest uninterrupted series in FBS history, with Minnesota and Wisconsin having played 113 consecutive years from 1907 to 2019.
Vanderbilt football has the chance of making Power 5 history on Saturday. Because of COVID-19 protocols landing specialists in quarantine, women’s soccer starting goalkeeper Sarah Fuller practiced with the football team as a kicker on Tuesday. While she did not take a snap, Fuller was in full pads and uniform, walking through “with coaches and at least one specialist on the sidelines.” If the senior from Wylie, Texas plays on Saturday, it’s believed she’ll be the first woman to log a snap in a Power 5 game. Becca Longo already made history as the first woman to be offered a college football scholarship; however, she was injured during the 2018 season and never attempted an in-game kick or played in a game. Vanderbilt is just 3-7 in field goals this season; however, it’s reportedly not due to lack of talent. The specialists are plagued with COVID-19 related quarantines. The 0-7 team will travel to play Missouri on Saturday.
Thousands of players are expected to object to EA Sports using their likenesses without what they consider “proper consent” in the FIFA 21 video game. AC Milan’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Tottenham Hotspur’s Gareth Bale are among the stars that have made public statements about their objections. Ibrahomivic tweeted that he never allowed FIFA to make money off his image and likeness. While there is currently no concrete plan for players to challenge EA Sports, a “growing number” of top players are likely to come forward to object to their likenesses being used in FIFA 21 without what they consider to be proper consent
