Dolly Parton, who will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s Class of ’22, says if she gets to make a rock album, she wants The Rolling Stones to play on it. Dolly was looking at a pic of herself with Sir Mick Jagger and told Billboard “Yeah, I loved him and I love ‘Satisfaction’. I’m hoping we’re both around long enough when I get to do this record that he’ll come sing with me, and I may have to use The Rolling Stones to play behind me.” Parton added that she might “try to get some different rock bands, some of the classic bands, to back me on some of the songs I do and then do two or three or four originals.” The icon said “Now I’m in the Rock Roll Hall of Fame. So I’m going to have to do a rock album at some point. … Now I may have to call my album ‘Rock Star!'”
A rep for Dave Chappelle released a statement on Tuesday’s attack during his Netflix Is A Joke comedy set at the Hollywood Bowl, saying “As unfortunate and unsettling as the incident was, Chappelle went on with the show.” Carla Sims, Chappelle’s rep, told CNN “Jamie Foxx and Chris Rock helped calm the crowd with humor before Chappelle introduced the last and featured musical guests for the evening.” Sims added that Chappelle is “fully cooperating” with authorities in their investigation. Netflix released a statement on the incident, saying “We care deeply about the safety of creators and we strongly defend the right of stand-up comedians to perform on stage without fear of violence.”
The second season of David Letterman’s Netflix show My Next Guest Needs No Introduction kicks off on May 20th. Letterman will get the chance to talk to Will Smith, but before you get all excited, the interview was recorded before Will slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars. The conversation should be compelling, but there will be no talk about that incident. Letterman will also interview Cardi B, Billie Eilish, Kevin Durant, Ryan Reynolds, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus during season two.
Jo Marie Payton, who played Harriette Winslow on the classic sitcom, said Jaleel White, the loveable Urkel, was a pain at times. Payton recalled an incident recently. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, she said, “There was one time he actually wanted to physically fight me. [There was a scene where] I said we can’t do that, standards and practices will not let that pass, it’s not gonna happen. He wanted to do it anyway… He was so mad, he started kicking and screaming and stuff.” She continued, “He said something about, ‘She must want to melee.’ I said, ‘What’s a melee?’ He said, ‘A fight.’ I turned around — if he wanna fight, I would.” Darius [McCrary] grabbed me. I was gonna whip his behind.” Payton went on to say, “I give some of those adults credit too. Letting him run wild and do whatever he wanted to do, thinking he can say what he wants to say, you know, and hurt people’s feelings and all that.”

Molina’s 172nd home run was also his 999th career RBI. Juan Yepez’s first career RBI in the majors concluded the Cardinals’ scoring in the seventh as they widened their lead and deepened the Giants’ use of the bullpen. Yepez’s RBI single in the seventh came against the Giants’ seventh pitcher of the game –and it closed up a four-run rally.

The Kansas City Chiefs have begun trimming their 90-man offseason roster ahead of rookie minicamp. There will be an influx of new undrafted free agents signing for rookie minicamp, so these moves are preemptive in order to make room on the 90-man offseason roster for those players. We’re keeping track of those undrafted free agent signings and rookie minicamp invites here.
According to the NFL’s official personnel notice, the following six players were waived by the team on Thursday:
- WR Gehrig Dieter
- TE Nakia Griffin-Stewart
- WR Gary Jennings
- DT Lorenzo Neal Jr.
- TE Josh Pederson
- DE Jonathan Woodard
The most notable of the players waived here is Gehrig Dieter, who has been with the team off and on since signing as an undrafted free agent out of Alabama in 2017. He appeared in 10 games in Kansas City from 2018-to-2020, catching 2-of-5 passes for 32 yards in that span. He spent a lot of time on the practice squad and has been a solid special teamer for Kansas City when called upon.
