Ozzy Osbourne has pulled out of the Power Trip festival. He posted a note on his social media Monday afternoon that said, “As painful as this is, I’ve had to make the decision to bow out of performing on Power Trip in October. My original plan was to return to the stage in the summer of 2024, and when the offer to do this show came in, I optimistically moved forward. Unfortunately, my body is telling me that I’m just not ready yet and I am much too proud to have the first show that I do in nearly five years be half-assed.” As for who will replacement him on the bill, Ozzy wrote, “The band that will be replacing me on Power Trip will be announced shortly. They are personal friends of mine and I can promise that you will not be disappointed.”
Power Tripis set for the weekend October 6th in the same griounds as Coachella and Stagecoach in Indio, California. Guns n’ Roses and Iron Maiden are set for the 6th, AC/DC and Ozzy’s replacement on the 7th and Metallica and Tool on the 8th.

Authorities in Northern Ireland are investigating after an ‘indecent image’ appeared on-screen during a showing of The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Investigators say an image of “a partially undressed woman” appeared on screen for “several seconds” before it was removed. Sarah Silverman is suing Meta and OpenAI for using her copyrighted works to train AI systems. Sarah’s best selling book, ‘The Bedwetter: Stories of Courage, Redemption and Pee’ was cited in the lawsuits. The federal lawsuits allege that Chat GPT and LLAMA ‘ingested text’ t to train the language models without consent or compensation to authors – one of whom being Sarah Silverman. Larry Nassar, the former sports doctor who was convicted of sexually abusing female gymnasts, was stabbed multiple times in prison after being involved in an altercation with another inmate. The AP reported that the attack happened on Sunday in Florida’s United States Penitentiary Coleman. The outlet reports the 59-year-old sports doc suffered back and chest wounds. As of Monday, he was in stable condition. No further details surrounding the incident were released.
Victor Wembanyama, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NBA draft, has decided to keep a low profile after his controversial encounter with pop star Britney Spears in Las Vegas last week. After a busy month, which started with the 19-year-old French phenom getting drafted by the San Antonio Spurs at the end of June and his NBA debut during Summer League games over the weekend, Wembanyama told reporters on Monday that he wants to focus on his basketball career and avoid any distractions from the media. “In the past month, I think basketball wasn’t even 50% of my schedule. I can’t stand it. I know it’s a special moment in my life, but I’m glad it’s over … I just wanna hoop,” said Wembanyama via Tomer Azarly, as reported by Sports Illustrated.
