Most info about BOB SAGET’s death is permanently sealed. But the Orange County Sheriff’s Office released its incident report to show that his death was an accident. They say that Bob arrived back at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Orlando just after 2:00 a.m. on January 9th, following a performance.  The valet says he didn’t notice anything odd, like slurred speech or balance issues Bob even took a selfie with the guy. Bob was observed on security video walking across the lobby toward the elevators, then from the elevators to his room.  He was by himself and he didn’t stop or interact with anyone else. Once inside the room, his door was never unlocked or opened until security found his body later that day.  Police found no evidence of foul play, or of anyone else being in the room. Based on his injuries, they think Bob hit his head on something hard, but padded.  The two most likely culprits would be the headboard or the carpeted floor.

The Full House cast got together at 90s Con, a huge convention celebrating all things from the 1990s out in Hartford, Connecticut over the weekend.  Someone from the Today Show asked if they would do a Full Houses reboot without Bob Saget. It was a yes. They said things like…Bob would want that…I would do it in a heartbeat.

Speaking of comedic genius…It’s mini tennis mixed with ping pong and has a great name. Pickleball is big right now. Stephen Colbert is the genius behind this idea. A primetime special with celebrities play pickleball. It’ll be called Pickled.. It’ll air on CBS later this year (LINK)

Jake Paul may or may not be legit in the ring but he is keeping at least a foot in the celebrity boxing ring. Jake Paul wants Kanye West and Pete Davidson to settle their differences in the ring, putting up a $30 million guarantee to each one for a celebrity boxing match. Paul tweeted the offer to both celebs, saying he wants “6 rounds”. He says his motivation is to settle it so the children aren’t “anymore impacted” (LINK)

Remember back in 1997 when Mike Tyson took a bite out of Evander Holyfields ear? So yea duh MIKE TYSON’s weed company is now selling edible gummies in the shape of an ear with a BITE TAKEN OUT OF IT. That’s a clever gummie saving technique. Obviously, they’re based on the 1997 WBA Heavyweight Championship fight where Tyson literally took a bite out of EVANDER HOLYFIELD’S ear. There’s no word if Evander’s getting a cut of the profits (LINK)

‘Tom Cruise’s Top Gun sequel, Maverick, is getting a fancy screening special at the 75th annual Cannes Film Festival. Its fancy because it’s in France. It begins May 17th; for us mortals it premieres on May 27th. Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Ed Harris star in the Top Gun sequel, as well as Val Kilmer, who returns as Iceman.

SELENA GOMEZ is developing a series for Peacock inspired by the 1984 JOHN HUGHES classic, “Sixteen Candles”.  It’ll be called “15 Candles”. Not much is known yet, except it’ll be a coming-of-age comedy about four Latina high schoolers. Not sure what the parallels to “Sixteen Candles”  (LINK)

Mayim Bialik is digging hosting Jeopardy!. And it is something she’d like to make permanent. She has been a fan since age 13. She will be hosting until May 6th and after that she doesn’t know. Ken Jennings is the other host sharing the time. This will continue through season 38.

Jack White’s Third Man Record Label got the rights to Prince’s unreleased 1986 album, Camille, with plans to release it on vinyl. Prince uses pitch shifting to sing as Camille an androgynous alter ego.  To prove to Prince’s estate that he “had some skin in the game”, White bought one of the only 25 copies of Camille known to exist, paying nearly $50,000 at auction for the album. White hasn’t revealed Camille’s release date yet.

Lately we’ve been hearing a lot of artists selling off their music catalogs like BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN and BOB DYLAN.  But as for THE ROLLING STONES?  Probably not anytime soon. KEITH RICHARDS appeared on “CBS Sunday Morning” and said he and MICK JAGGER haven’t spoken about it on a serious level (LINK)

A rock record from Dolly Parton may actually happen. Nancy Wilson from Heart says she is in to write some songs with her.  A big shot rock producer (LINK) named Steve Albini is tossing his name into the ring.  He reTweeted Dolly’s announcement, and wrote, quote, “Dolly Parton, do you like analog recording?” He has produced for a lot of bands….and he did Nirvanas In Utero.

Not a lot of TV characters have pet cats, and there’s a reason for that. Mostly its because they are not always predictable. Michael Jamin has been writing and producing TV for more than 20 years, and he made a TikTok explaining why working with cats sucks

Sports Report 1

The Green Bay Packers have OFFICIALLY signed QB Aaron Rodgers to a contract extension. Although the team did not reveal the terms, according to reports the veteran quarterback is getting paid! Rodgers is reportedly getting $150 million for over three years, with nearly $75 million guaranteed at signing.  By yearly average, this makes him the highest-paid player in NFL history.

As the Browns’ big wigs flew back from a meeting with whom they hope will be the team’s future quarterback, Deshaun Watson, its current quarterback, Baker Mayfield, posted a statement to social media thanking the city of Cleveland and its fans “who truly embraced who I am.” The Browns flew to Houston on Tuesday to pitch Watson on waiving his no-trade clause to come to Cleveland. The Browns are one of four teams, along with the  SaintsPanthers and Falcons, who are attempting to land Watson in a trade with the Texans. Watson has already met with the Saints and Panthers and is scheduled to meet with the Falcons today.

Quarterback Tyrod Taylor, who played last season with the Houston Texans, intends to sign a two-year, $17 million deal with the New York Giants. The deal includes $8.5 million in guaranteed money

If you know about Randy Gregory – you know defensive end has had his fair share of trouble.  He’s been suspended three times – for drugs and other things – and actually has missed a year or more twice in his career because of suspensions.  Yesterday – the Dallas Cowboys – who have stuck by him through it all – announced he had re-signed under a 5 year, $70 million dollar deal.  And then – shortly after that – the OFFICIAL news came out that he did sign a 5-year, $70 million dollar deal….with the Denver Broncos.

You can never predict when someone is going to retire or unretire in this case.Tom Brady’s “final” TD ball just sold for over $500K just three days ago before he came out of retirement. Now, it’s worth a mere $50K. The reasoning is obvious … if Brady plays a full 17-game season in 2022 — plus the playoffs — he’s expected to throw roughly 30-to-50 more touchdown passes. So this ball is not so special. There is good news for the buyer. Sources say that it’s probably unlikely they’ll have to fork over the half mil for the ball. The auction item was advertised as Brady’s last TD ever and now, since it won’t be, the buyer could have a legitimate claim to go back on on the deal. No word yet on who bought the ball but whoever they are and wherever they are, we’re sure they’re sweating right now.

Washington Capitals star Alex Ovechkin passed hockey legend Jaromir Jagr for third all time on the NHL goal-scoring list, scoring career goal No. 767 at home against the New York Islanders last night. It was his 37th goal of the season. Ovechkin, 36, now trails Wayne Gretzky’s all-time NHL goals record by 127 goals. Next up for Ovechkin: Gordie Howe’s 801 career goals, which he amassed in 1,767 career games.

In the NBA yesterday, Kyrie Irving dropped a career high 60 points for the Nets as they were in Orlando to play against the Magic.  Can he do it in back-to-back games?  Legit no.  The Nets are in NY tonight and he is unable to play in home games because of his vaccination status.

And speaking of that…The same private sector employer mandate that’s keeping Irving off the court in Brooklyn would apply to unvaccinated Yankees and Mets for home games during the 2022 season. Though mayor Eric Adams repealed the vaccine mandate that covered indoor spaces on March 7, a private employer mandate put in place by the de Blasio administration still applies, which is why Irving still cannot suit up for the Nets during home games.

Adding their third veteran reliever in five days, the Cardinals inked right-handed pitcher Zach McAllister to a Minor League contract with an invitation to Spring Training. In the days since the MLB lockout was lifted, the Cardinals have worked to try and retool their bullpen. St. Louis signed veteran relievers Drew VerHagen on Friday and Nick Wittgren on Sunday to bolster its bullpen. The Redbirds also reached a deal before the MLB lockout with Aaron Brooks, a versatile right-hander who pitched well the past two seasons in South Korea.

First baseman Anthony Rizzo, who finished last season with the Yankees after a trade from the  Cubs, agreed to a multiyear contract Tuesday night to return to New York, pending a physical. The contract is for two years and $32 million with an opt-out clause after one season.
