#CrapOnCelebrities: A Twin Peaks actor arrested on an attempted murder charge, more Ric Flair news and what was your favorite MTV Unplugged?
Actor Jeremy Lindholm — who recently appeared on an episode of “Twin Peaks: The Return” — is accused of viciously beating his girlfriend and trying to kill her … and is facing an attempted murder charge. Cops in Spokane, WA responded to a call from a local business about a man assaulting a woman with a bat, and when officers arrived Lindholm was trying to leave with the bat still in his hand. He surrendered in the alley and was taken into custody. Supposedly Lindholm’s attack as an “extremely violent assault” — the video allegedly shows him striking his girlfriend on the head and body with the bat over a dozen times and also choking her. He allegedly said he wanted to kill her too. The actor’s facing multiple charges along with attempted second-degree murder, including second-degree assault. He’s being held at the Spokane County Jail on $100k bond. Lindholm’s girlfriend was transported to the hospital and treated for non life-threatening injuries.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are in trouble for failing to pay a lighting company. A Paris judge ordered them to shell out more than $660,000 after failing to pay their bills and allegedly destroying a designer’s reputation. Pitt hired this person to light four buildings at the Chateau Miravel estate in France, including the main 40-room chateau. The designer hired 17 people to work on the projects. More than two years in and delays led to a jaw-dropping cost of $30 million, much of which Pitt stopped paying. It’s a place where they produce wine and olive oil. In 2012, their first wine production sold out in five hours. Since then, they have produced red and white wine and rose, making about 150,000 bottles a year.
After early reports indicated that Ric Flair was admitted to intensive care over the weekend with heart-related issues, Sports Illustrated now says that, in fact, Flair underwent surgery to have half a bowel removed after experiencing an intestinal blockage. Furthermore, the magazine reports that “Flair’s alcohol intake has exacerbated his issues.” Just nine days ago, Flair told SI, “My vice was drinking…It’s a fact that I kept myself up all night and always had a good time.” The article adds that Flair’s recovery could find him hospitalized for up to a month.
He is a singer but such a great porn name…ROBIN THICKE is going to be a father again. He and his 22-year-old girlfriend April Love Geary are expecting a baby. April posted a sonogram photo yesterday. She also revealed that she’s due on March 1st . . . which just happens to be the birthday of Robin’s dad ALAN THICKE. Alan died last December after having a heart attack while he was playing hockey with Robin’s brother Carter. Robin is 40 years old, and he has a 7-year-old son named Julian with his ex-wife PAULA PATTON. Their custody battle got pretty ugly, with Paula accusing Robin of physically abusing both her AND Julian.
ABC has given a pilot order for a live-action reboot of the 1960s cartoon classic Jetsons. The story follows George, Jane, Judy and Elroy Jetson, along with their robot maid Rosie and family dog Astro. The rebooted show will be a multi-cam sitcom set 100 years into the future.
Suddenly they’re bringing back EVERY old show . . . “The X-Files”, “Will & Grace”, “Full House”, “Dallas”, “Boy Meets World”, “Prison Break”, “Twin Peaks”, “Gilmore Girls”, “24”, “Arrested Development”, and so on. Now, Fox is developing a new TV show ABOUT TV show revivals. It’s a comedy about a guy who was the little kid on an ’80s family sitcom. He’s living a normal life now . . . but he reluctantly gets sucked back into the show’s ‘revival,’ with the rest of his old TV family.
There’s no word yet on any casting. Assuming the show gets picked up, it wouldn’t premiere until NEXT season, a year from now.
MTV’s revival of “Unplugged” begins on September 8th with SHAWN MENDES. Mendes got excited to be on the show after seeing PEARL JAM’s appearance from 1992 . . . even though he wasn’t alive when it originally aired. He’s only 19. Shawn says, quote, “It wasn’t so much about the commercial, showman side of it; It was really about the music.” There’s no word who else MTV has lined up for the season. PARIS HILTON apologized yesterday for some comments she made in the new issue of “Marie Claire”magazine. In the article, she said she wasn’t bothered by PRESIDENT TRUMP’s “Grab ’em by the you-know-what” comment, because, quote, “I’ve heard guys say the craziest things ever, because I’m always around guys, and I listen to them speak.” She also said she doesn’t believe the women accusing Trump of sexual assault, saying she thinks they’re, quote, “just trying to get attention and fame.” After the Internet went DOG NUTS on her, she issued a statement saying, quote, “I want to apologize for my comments from an interview I did last year. They were part of a much larger story and I am regretful that they were not delivered in the way I had intended.” “I always believe in helping women have their voices heard and helping create an environment where women feel empowered and believe in themselves.”
Now you know. Actress and former Scientologist Leah Remini declared that Tom Cruise is “diabolical” during a Reddit AMA. Remini was on Reddit to promote the second season of her A&E docuseries Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath, when a fan asked her if she thought Cruise was a “good person.” She wrote: “No! Just going to get straight to it, no! There is a public persona of the guy who looks at you directly in the eye and shakes your hand and hugs you and is an attentive person to you and there’s the person behind the mask who is a completely different person. Someone could say we all have that — what we are to the public and who we are behind the scenes, but the people who are around Tom and work for Tom, not even people who are Scientologists, they will say he is diabolical.”
The “Hollywood Reporter” claims there’s an Obi-Wan Kenobi stand-alone movie in development. There aren’t any details yet, but this would probably be the third “Star Wars” anthology movie, behind “Rogue One”, which came out last December, and the untitled Han Solo movie, which is coming out in May of next year. If that’s the case, this would be the one that Disney has penciled in for 2020. There’s no script, so obviously there’s also no cast. But Ewan McGregor has repeatedly said that he’d be down to come back. He played Obi-Wan in the prequel trilogy. For what it’s worth, Stephen Daldry is in talks to direct. He has three Oscar nominations for directing “The Reader”, “The Hours”, and “Billy Elliot”
Remember when Billy Idol was in a very serious motorcycle accident in Hollywood back in February of 1990, and it almost cost him his leg. He was hit by a car when he ran a stop sign while riding home from the studio. What it DID cost him was the role of ROBERT PATRICK’s famous T-1000 in “Terminator 2: Judgment Day”. In a new interview, Robert says, quote, “Billy Idol was set to do the role, as I understand. I can tell you that I saw Billy’s image when I went to [the make-up department] after I got the role. “Unfortunately, he got into a motorcycle accident and busted up his leg, so he wasn’t able to physically do what the role demanded.”
James Hetfield talked the other night about the racial stuff that’s going on in America right now, at Metallica’s concert in Edmonton.
Tina Fey showed up on SNL’s “Weekend Update” special last night, talking about the protests in Charlottesville.
Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz said in a new interview that the band is about six songs into an album that will probably end up containing a total of 10 tracks. The band pushed back the release of the new LP, titled Mania, from September 15th to January 19th, 2018. Wentz revealed that he’s still hoping to land Rihanna — who he’s wanted to work with for more than a decade — for a guest spot.
A recent performance by Foo Fighters at the historic Acropolis in Athens, Greece will be aired on November 10th via PBS as part of its Landmarks Live In Concert series. The show was filmed last month as part of the ongoing documentary series, which captures performances by global superstar artists at monumental locations and landmarks around the world. Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl said, “We’ve done some crazy things over the last 20 years, but I think this might be the craziest thing the Foo Fighters have ever done.”
“Mike D” of the Beastie Boys is launching a new career as a wine sommelier. He will curate the wine list at a new Los Angeles restaurant called Hearth & Hound that’s expected to open on September 22nd. It’s a new project from restaurant owner Ken Friedman, who’s also behind the famous Spotted PIg.
