It sounds like BOB SAGET’s death was caused by a heart attack or stroke. Law enforcement say that Bob was found lying face-up on his bed, with his left arm across his chest and his right arm lying beside him.  The hand on the chest could indicate a heart attack. Bob had also recently battled COVID-19, and blood clots are a possible complication from the virus. There won’t be an official diagnosis until the results of toxicology tests come back . . . which could take 10 to 12 weeks (LINK)

Kim KardashianFloyd Mayweather and Paul Pierce are being sued for allegedly duping investors in a cryptocurrency scam. They supposedly mislead their followers by convincing their fans to buy EthereumMax tokens, only to sell them once their value was inflated. They were allegedly paid in tokens for their sponsorships and “exited with substantial gains, leaving investors holding the bag”, the lawsuit claims.  On June 14, Kardashian posted for her 250 million followers on Instagram an ad for EthereumMax, which has no connection to established cryptocurrency Ethereum. “Are you guys into crypto???? This is not financial advice but sharing what my friends just told me about the Ethereum Max token! A few minutes ago Ethereum Max burned 400 trillion tokens—literally 50% of their admin wallet, giving back to the entire e-max community. Swipe up to join the e-max community,” The lawsuit claims that the post had tremendous reach. A survey by financial services company Morning Consult found that up to 21 percent of all American adult and nearly half of all cryptocurrency owners had seen the ad and that 19 percent of respondents invested in EthereumMax as a result (LINK)

Snoop Dogg has a cookbook. Snoop Dogg has a cannabis line. He is a pitchman for Corona, Beyond Meat and Bic lighters. Ironically what product has he never aligned with?   Mr. Doggs filed an application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to trademark “Snoop Doggs,” his own brand of hot dogs and sausages. While that doesn’t mean that any plans are in motion just yet, his lawyers want to make sure the name is available if or when he does decide to sell them. The 2022 Bonnaroo Festival announced their lineup yesterday.  The three headliners are J. COLE, TOOL, and STEVIE NICKS . . . which makes Stevie the first female to do so. I have places to go, people to sing for, another album to make.” So hopefully we will be seeing more from Stevie this year, besides Bonnaroo. The festival takes place in Tennessee from June 16th through the 19th.  Tickets go on sale Thursday at Bonnaroo.com. It was canceled last year because of heavy rains and flooding from Hurricane Ida. Jon Lester announces retirement after 16 seasons, three World Series titles – ESPN

Former San Jose Sharks forward Evander Kane has reportedly been contacted by “most” Stanley Cup contenders after being released earlier this week.  Weekes adds that teams are “doing their due diligence” by speaking with players who have played with Kane in addition to his agent. The Sharks terminated Kane’s contract on Sunday, citing a breach of his contract for violating the American Hockey League’s COVID-19 protocols. He was sent to the team’s AHL affiliate after serving a 21-game suspension for submitting a fake COVID-19 vaccination card.  In addition to violating COVID-19 protocols, Kane was investigated for domestic assault after allegations made by his estranged wife, Anna Kane. The NHL later announced that her allegations “could not be substantiated.” The Edmonton Oilers, Vancouver Canucks, Toronto Maple Leafs, Carolina Hurricanes, Tampa Bay Lightning and Vegas Golden Knights have been linked to the 30-year-old.

In the middle of the lockout and one month before players would normally report to spring training, Major League Baseball and the Players Association are set to meet this week.  The league and union will hold a bargaining session on Thursday when it’s expected MLB will “make a core-economics proposal” to the players.  This will mark the first meeting between MLB and the union since Dec. 2.  Prior to the work stoppage…some of the things the MLBPA was negotiating for in its proposal to the owners were the right to free agency either at 29.5 years old or after five years of service time, whichever came first, arbitration-eligibility after two years instead of three and raising the luxury-tax threshold from $210 million to $240 million.

Well…it was Tuesday…but Black Monday continued yesterday.   The New York Giants fired coach Joe Judge on Tuesday after his two losing seasons with the team. Judge, a first-time head coach, went 10-23 in his two years. He is the third consecutive Giants coach to be fired after two seasons or less.

Novak Djokovic knew he’d tested positive for COVID-19 when he attended a newspaper interview and photo shoot at his tennis center in Serbia last month, saying he made an “error of judgment” and should have immediately gone into isolation. Djokovic made the admission when he moved to clarify “ongoing misinformation” about his movements after he tested positive last month. He also blamed “human error” by his support team for a mistake on the travel document he used a week ago to enter Australia, where his visa was revoked and then reinstated. The nine-time and defending Australian Open champion is in limbo before the year’s first tennis major that starts Monday.

Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal will miss Tuesday’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The team announced the star has been entered into the NBA’s health and safety protocols for the second time in less than one month.  Beal missed three games from Dec. 23 to 28 because of health and safety protocols. The three-time All-Star was unable to play in the Tokyo Olympics over the summer also because of health and safety protocols. It’s unclear if Beal has tested positive for COVID-19. If he has and remains asymptomatic, NBA protocols allow him to return in six days. The 28-year-old would miss three games before returning on Jan. 17 in that scenario.

We finally have the report on what happened to St Louis’ own and Alabama wide receiver Jameson Williams during the National Championship game on Monday.  I had mentioned yesterday, he made a cut and it looked like his knee just gave out on him.  Well – Williams tore the ACL in his left knee. Doctors believe that, after surgery within the next 10 days, and they did note that Williams WILL retain his incredible speed, and they expect a full recovery

And then there were none. Both No. 1 Baylor and No. 5 USC, the remaining undefeated Division I men’s basketball teams, suffered losses last night.  Baylor’s 21-game winning streak, which started last season, was snapped in a 65-62 loss to No. 19 Texas Tech. That result was official just after USC fell at Stanford, 75-69. Wild.

SLU lost to Dayton last night 68-63 on the road.  Their next game is on Saturday at Chafietz at 1:30PM.  25th ranked Illinois beat Nebraska 81-71 on the road.  They take on Michigan Friday at 8PM.  Mizzou is on the court tonight in Arkansas.  Tip off is scheduled for 8PM.
