Aveneged Sevenfold guitarist Synyster Gates injured his leg during their show Wednesday night in Mansfield, Massachusetts. The band was playing “The Stage” when Gates suddenly walked off. Singer M. Shadows told the crowd that Gates had hurt his leg and would be playing the rest of the show from the back of the stage. They ended up playing six more songs, and had to drop the last three songs on their setlist because of the venue curfew. Shadows went on the band’s Discord early on Thursday to say that Gates had “a pretty severe contusion of his calf. He’s got crutches and can’t walk on it at the moment. Gonna be sore for a few days. Doc said it could be from dehydration, possibly last night’s show, the heat and not enough water today. Shadows added that the band won’t be canceling any shows, so the tour will continue Friday night in Quebec City.
