St. Louis City SC midfielder Indiana Vassilev is among 23 players called into a U.S. Olympic team training camp in Phoenix. It’s the first step in preparations for the 2024 Olympics. The team will play two matches while in camp, against Mexico on Wednesday and then against Japan on Oct. 17. While City SC will be training this week, it doesn’t play again until Oct. 21, so Vassilev shouldn’t miss the game. The 2024 Paris Olympics will be the first for the U.S. men’s team since 2008.
