The Rock has responded to the haters who called him out for asking people to donate to the victims of the Maui wildfires.  And he was surprisingly diplomatic about it. He said, quote, “I understand money ain’t falling out of the sky, and it’s not growing on trees, and there’s a lot of people out there who’s living paycheck to paycheck. And I get it, and I know what that’s like.  I’ve lived paycheck to paycheck. And the last thing you wanna hear when you are living from paycheck to paycheck is someone asking you for money, especially when the person asking you for money already has a lot of money. So I get it.  I understand.  I’d never launched a fund before, but I’m a quick study and lesson learned.” The Rock and Oprah started this particular fundraising effort, and kicked in $10 million to get it started – LINK

Incubus were joined onstage by a huge fan of theirs at their hometown Hollywood Bowl show on Friday. Lizzo played flute with them on ‘’Aqueous Transmission.’’ She also gushed on Instagram, and posted photos and videos of herself backstage, onstage and in the audience singing along with ‘’Wish You Were Here,’’ the song they’d also closed that Lollapalooza show with.

If you still have a working Atari 2600 console, you’ll have the chance to play a brand-new game — Atari is releasing a new cartridge called Save Mary. This thing was actually developed 40 to 50 years ago when the Atari 2600 was rolling. But when the console became obsolete, Save Mary was abandoned … until now. Some programmers at Atari finished the game — and they’re now selling the cartridge for $60. And don’t worry if you can’t find your old Atari 2600 console. The company is currently selling an upgraded version, called the 2600+ — which would allow you to purchase Save Mary and, presumably, save Mary.

St. Louis City SC midfielder Indiana Vassilev is among 23 players called into a U.S. Olympic team training camp in Phoenix. It’s the first step in preparations for the 2024 Olympics. The team will play two matches while in camp, against Mexico on Wednesday and then against Japan on Oct. 17. While City SC will be training this week, it doesn’t play again until Oct. 21, so Vassilev shouldn’t miss the game. The 2024 Paris Olympics will be the first for the U.S. men’s team since 2008. The Olympic men’s tournament is an under-23 event, restricted to players born after Jan. 1, 2001. Teams are allowed to use three overage players.
