Reboot and possible reboot news-
ROB LOWE thinks the world needs something to laugh at. And he wants to get back some old friends back together. Rob, Emilio Estevez, Anthony Michael Hall, Molly Ringwald, Ally Sheedy, Andrew McCarthy, Demi Moore. . . and maybe even some of the outliers, like Charlie Sheen, Robert Downey Jr., Matt Dillon, C. Thomas Howell, and Ralph Macchio.
How about a remake of one of the most quoted movies ever? Apparently, there’s a chance and who could star in a remake of “The Naked Gun”?. There’s nothing in the works right now, but “Family Guy” creator SETH MACFARLANE has asked him if he’s interested. Like Leslie Nielsen was BEFORE Naked Gun, this guy is known as a serious actor. He has work with MacFarlane before on Family Guy and Ted 2. Liam Neeson. Liam says, quote, “[It could] either finish my career or bring it in another direction. I honestly don’t know.” LESLIE NIELSEN was a serious actor for DECADES . . . until he was cast in the “Airplane” comedies in 1980 and 1982. The same creative team brought him back for a short-lived TV series called “Police Squad”, which became the basis for the “Naked Gun” movies. The first one came out in 1988, with sequels in 1991 and 1994.

The idea of a Suite Life of Zack and Cody reboot or comeback or whatever has been thrown around. I know King Scott was raising money selling bluebeery muffins for a while. I don’t know about the rest of the cast but Cole Sprouse says hard no “I am asked all the time if Dylan and I are going to do a Suite Life reboot and I go, ‘No, absolutely not,’” he continued.
We talked recently that a lot of people want DEBRA MESSING to play LUCILLE BALL in the upcoming bio about Lucy’s relationship with DESI ARNAZ. But that’s not happening. Their daughter Lucie Arnaz says it’s a done deal: NICOLE KIDMAN has the part. And she has her reasons that kinda make sense not that it matters
Here is a headline that will make you click and read…DJ Khaled and Fat Joe have an OnlyFans account together. A subscription is $20 a month. Apparently its all implied nudity though…or its all motivational stuff. The bio reads, “welcome to the LIGHT – the page for fans to get exclusive motivational and inspirational content, where we will be guiding fans to ‘the light’ while sharing uplifting insights and behind-the-scenes of our personal lives.” Apparently the big January 25th update will be them doing a rematch of a one on one basketball game…
It’ll be interesting if this becomes a “THING” leading up to the Super Bowl. Coca-Cola and Pepsi won’t be blowing money on Super Bowl ads this year . . . and Coca-Cola said it was to, quote, “ensure we’re investing in the right resources during these unprecedented times.” That said, Pepsi IS still sponsoring the Super Bowl Halftime Show, which is essentially a big advertisement itself. Coke spent about $20 million on last years Super Bowl.
34 year old Drake made music history by becoming the first artist to break the 50 billion streams barrier on Spotify. If you have not paid attention…He is always the guy on the list for year end streams. In 2018 God’s Plan by it self had 1.67 billion hits on Spotify. He also ended the 2010s as the most-streamed artist with 28 billion streams, beating Ed Sheeran, Post Malone, Ariana Grande, and Eminem. And btw he has a new album…Certified Lover Boy coming this month.
Meanwhile 62 year old Gary Numan who currently ISNT at Drake’s level says he got paid just 37 pounds or $50.68 for a song that was streamed 1 million times. “The streaming companies should pay more money. They’re getting it for nothing. He once spent half an hour printing a statement that totalled just £112 or $153.40. “ I didn’t look at it, I just put it to print, and I looked over about half an hour later, it was still printing. “It was hundreds and hundreds of pages. It’s been claimed that artists on average receive 16 per cent of the money earned from streaming, while record labels take 41 per cent and the streaming platforms pocket 29 per cent. Meanwhile, Gary is set to release his 19th solo album in May.
