Bruce Lee died mysteriously in 1973, at the age of 32. His OFFICIAL cause of death is cerebral edema, which is basically swelling of the brain . . . but it’s still unclear what caused it. Now, almost 50 years later, some researchers believe the swelling may have been from Bruce DRINKING TOO MUCH WATER. The idea is that he died of “hyponatraemia,” which is a low concentration of sodium in blood, which can be caused by too much water or fluid in the body. It’s very hard to drink enough water to kill you . . . but it has happened in rare cases during extreme physical activity, when a rush of hydration can cause your body to fall out of balance. Witnesses did note that was Bruce drinking water the day he died . . . but it doesn’t sound like he was downing glass after glass in an abnormal way. But it’s possible that he could’ve suffered chronic kidney problems by over-drinking over a period of time, or in conjunction with a series of other factors. Bruce been known to experiment with all-fluid diets, like one of just carrot and apple juice. There are a lot of other things that could contribute to kidney issues including: Alcohol, drugs, painkillers, and medicine . . . diuretics . . . exercise . . . and low solute intake. And for the record, he had suffered headaches and even had a previous issue with brain swelling in the months leading up to his death. This is probably a coincidence, but Bruce had been known for the quote, “Be water, my friend.”
Harrison Ford will be “de-aged” in the opening scene for “Indiana Jones 5”. New technology was able to make Indy look just like how he does in the original trilogy. The scene will take place in 1944, before jumping forward to 1969 for the remainder of the movie. Harrison said, quote, “This is the first time I’ve seen it where I believe it. It’s a little spooky, I don’t think I even want to know how it works, but it works . . . “Doesn’t make me want to be young, though. I’m glad to have earned my age.” “Indiana Jones 5” hits theaters June 30th of next year
Last May, actor Gary Oldman suggested that he’d be happy to end his career “with a bang” by playing fictional spy Jackson Lamb on Apple TV+’s ‘Slow Horses’. The actor said “I’m 65 next year, 70 is around the corner. I don’t want to be active when I’m 80. I’d be very happy and honored and privileged to go out as Jackson Lamb—and then hang it up.” Oldman’s retirement may not happen that soon, though, as ‘Slow Horses’ has him locked down for two more seasons. The ‘Dark Knight’ and ‘Dracula’ actor has been nominated for 100 acting awards over his career, winning a Lead Actor Oscar for 2017’s ‘Darkest Hour’.
Woody Harrelson presented Michael J. Fox with an honorary Oscar called the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award at the 13th annual Governors Awards on Saturday. In his speech, Woody talked about the time he visited Michael in Thailand on the set of the 1989 movie, “Casualties of War”. They went through a jungle and ended up at a “cobra and mongoose fight.” After the mongoose won, the blood of the cobra was poured into a glass then mixed with Thai whiskey. Woody said drinking the cobra blood is called, quote, “becoming brother to the snake”. Quote, “Mike and I drink lots of things together and he can hold his own . . . but Mike promptly vomited his snake cocktail . . . never could hold his cobra blood.” When Michael accepted his award, he told Woody, quote, “I love you. We did some damage in the ’80s.”
Sinbad suffered a stroke two years ago and is still learning how to walk again. His family said in an update that he’s fighting for every inch. Quote, “His progress is nothing short of remarkable. Limbs that were said to be ‘dead’ are coming alive. In his own words, ‘I am not done. I will not stop fighting until I can walk across the stage again.’ And neither will we.” Survival odds for the type of stroke he had are 30%. He’s made significant progress, but still has lots of therapy to go. And it’s become a financial burden on his family. They set up a website with information about his journey, and there’s also an option for fans who wish to contribute. The proceeds will help cover his care. You can check it out at TheJourneyForward.Life
If you spent any time watching “Chrisley Knows Best” on the USA Network . . . you should be aware that the Chrisleys do NOT know best. Back in June, Todd and Julie Chrisley were found guilty on federal charges of bank fraud, tax evasion, and conspiring to defraud the IRS. They’d been caught submitting fake documents to take out more than $30 MILLION in loans to “fund their lavish lifestyle.” Prosecutors described the scheme as “extensive.” Now, they’ve been given stiff sentences. Todd was sentenced to 12 years in prison plus 16 months of probation, while Julie got seven years behind bars and 16 months of probation. Their shows have been canceled, obviously. Speaking of the Chrisleys, their 16-year-old son Grayson crashed his truck into another vehicle in Nashville earlier this month. He was hospitalized, and it sounds like he’ll be okay, but there aren’t any specifics on his condition. When Grayson got the truck, the family did a bit on their show about the safety precautions he’d need to follow to avoid getting into an accident. It was meant to be funny, but obviously it’s frustrating to watch now.

Jay Leno was discharged from the hospital Monday following a 10-day stint at the Grossman Burn Center after receiving multiple surgeries for third-degree burns suffered on his face and hands from a fire in his garage. His doctor told the media, “I am pleased with Jay’s progress, and I am optimistic that he will make a full recovery. Jay would like to let everyone know how thankful he is for the care he received, and is very appreciative of all of the well wishes. He is looking forward to spending Thanksgiving with his family and friends and wishes everyone a wonderful holiday.”
Four years ago, Elton John announced he’d be retiring after one last farewell tour. But his farewell went on for YEARS, and last Sunday, he finally wrapped things up with his final North American show . . . a send-off in L.A. But while this may be his last TOUR, this might not be the end of Elton as a performer. Elton’s husband and manager David Furnish says, quote, “It’s really important to make a distinction between Elton retiring from touring . . . [and] his very last public performance for the very last time. “Will Elton return as a live performer? I hope so. It’s in his blood. [He doesn’t] want to shut the door completely.” He adds that he doesn’t think he’d do another Vegas residency, but he could do one-off shows, here and there.

The publishers of Bob Dylan’s latest book, ‘The Philosophy of Modern Song’ are offering refunds to those who bought one of 900 “autographed” copies after admitting they used an “auto pen” for the songwriter’s signature. At first, Simon & Shuster wouldn’t admit to angry fans that they unknowingly paid $600 for a book with Dylan’s “automatically replicated” signature. Something changed overnight, though, because the publisher released a statement that read “As it turns out, the limited-edition books do contain Bob’s original signature, but in a penned replica form. We are addressing this immediately by providing each purchaser with an immediate refund.” Dylan hasn’t commented on the controversy.
Kenny Chesney is at the stage of his career where he can perform just about anywhere he wants. And that’s exactly why he’s downsizing a bit for next year’s “I Go Back Tour.” Instead of massive stadiums in major cities he’ll go to places he hasn’t visited since he was a younger man. Quote, “I want to take this band and these songs to cities we played on our way up. Let’s call the tour ‘I Go Back’, and do just that. He adds, quote, “I remember coming up, the craziness of those dates. Markets where people used chain-cutters to get onto the lawn because we were sold out. That’s a kind of energy that should never be left behind.” He’s also bringing fellow East Tennessee native Kelsea Ballerini along as the opener. Quote, “She understands everything about where I come from, because she’s from there too.” At this point, the tour runs from March into July, but more shows will be added. You’ll find dates and details at KennyChesney.com.

The Americans made their long-awaited return to the world’s biggest stage after failing to qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. This is the 11th World Cup appearance for a United States team that has reached the World Cup in eight out of the past nine editions. The young American squad was unable to finish the job against Wales yesterday. It started off great and was mostly dominated by the US team. Pulisic put a terrific bacll into a Tim Weah’s first-half goal that was then canceled out by a Gareth Bale penalty with eight minutes left in the match. The USA is left locked in a second-place stalemate in Group B ahead of its now-critical clash with England on Friday (1 p.m. CT on FOX and the FOX Sports App).

The University of Florida withdrew a scholarship offer for Nease High School (Fla.) quarterback Marcus Stokes on Sunday after he posted a video on social media of him rapping along to a song using a racial slur. Sports Illustrated reported that Stokes can be seen in the car in the now deleted video saying “welcome back” followed by the slur.
Stokes previously committed to play college football for the Gators in July. Shortly after Florida pulled their scholarship offer, Stokes posted a statement on his Twitter account apologizing for the racial slur (LINK)
Arizona kept things close through halftime, with McCoy feeding DeAndre Hopkins and James Conner capping a second-quarter scoring drive with a touchdown. But the 49ers pulled away early in the second half, getting big gains from Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk in a total team win. They move to 6-4 with the decision, dropping Arizona to 4-7. Final was 38-10. 46-43 on the PICK EM.
