Ron Howard wants “Backdraft” to be the next of his movies to get the TV series treatment. That’s the 1991 firefighter movie starring Kurt Russell and William Baldwin. Ron told “Entertainment Weekly“, quote, “‘Backdraft’ would be really good. You could get the scope and the intensity that we had to do all in-camera, now we could do it efficiently and safely . . . “We were kind of on the borderline there when you throw the safety question into what we were doing. I was so relieved when we wrapped. But now I believe we could tackle it and be just as ambitious visually and be a little safer.” He clarified that a series is NOT in the works, but that producer Brian Grazer talks about it from time to time. If it were to happen, it would be Ron’s third movie to become a series.
His 1989 movie “Parenthood” was adapted into a series in 1990 for one season, then a second time in 2010 for six seasons. And 1988’s “Willow” is now a series on Disney+.
YouTuber (slash) influencer Corey Struve was arrested at a hotel bar near the golf course at Pebble Beach, California on Sunday. Police say Corey was celebrating her birthday, and she got a little too drunk. She started getting belligerent, and security asked her to return to her room. She refused, and police were called. During her arrest, she KICKED a cop. She was booked on several charges, including public intoxication, trespassing, resisting arrest, and battery on an officer. Corey denies resisting arrest or attacking an officer, and says she was slammed to the floor in handcuffs without being read her rights. She also says she suffered injuries to her shoulder, arm, and face . . . and showed them off on social media. (Check out the pics here.)
The documentary, “The Price of Glee” hit ID and Discovery+ yesterday, and it included the “revelation” that Lea Michele and Naya Rivera were always fighting. (You don’t say???) It’s kind of interesting, though, that Naya’s own dad admits it . . . but doesn’t necessary call out Lea. He says, quote, “There was always a fight between them. Always. Everybody knew. Everybody saw it. “They hated each other but, at the same time, respected each other’s talent.” A producer’s assistant who was interviewed was a lot less diplomatic. He said, quote, “Lea’s a narcissist . . . if there was ever a threat to [her character’s] attention, that caused conflict.” (Just Jared)
Prince Harry’s tell-all memoir Spare has shattered the record for the fastest-selling nonfiction book of all time. According to Guinness World Records Spare sold a whopping 1.43 million copies during its first day of sale in the UK, US, and Canada. Harry’s book sales blew away the former record holder, A Promised Land, penned by former President Barack Obama, which sold 887,000 copies on its release day. As far as we know, the only books to have sold more in their first day are Harry Potter books Larry Finlay, managing director of Transworld Penguin Random House, said in a statement. Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows, the final novel of J.K. Rowling’s series — currently holds the Guinness World Record for the fastest-selling book of all time after it sold 8.3 million copies — or 345,833 books per hour — when it was released in July 2007.
Graceland will go to Lisa Marie Presley’s three daughters — just like she wanted. After Lisa Marie suddenly died, fans wondered who would inherit her father Elvis Presley’s famous estate. On Monday, a representative for Graceland confirmed that the Memphis, Tenn., property — which is in a trust — will benefit Riley Keough, 33, and twins Harper and Finley Lockwood, 14. Graceland is the home Lisa Marie grew up in and also the home where Elvis died in 1977 at age 42 when his daughter was 9. According to the official website of Graceland, the estate was left to Lisa Marie in trust when she was only nine years old, and the trust officially dissolved upon her 25th birthday in 1993, giving her full ownership of the home. Elvis purchased the home in 1957 for $100,000. In 2020, Rolling Stone reported its estimated worth of as much as $500 million. Lisa Marie was adamant that the property stays in the family. “Graceland was given to me and will always be mine,” she insisted in 2013. “And then passed to my children. It will never be sold.”

He even played for audiences in the competition show’s season 13 tour.
Paul Stanley really wants to collaborate with Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl. After first bringing up his wish to collaborate with last year, the Kiss singer recently told ‘ABC Audio’ “It’s so fascinating to see somebody who his first brush with fame was to be the drummer in a band [Nirvana] that arguably he has eclipsed as the front man. He’s a fascinating and very, very bright guy.” Stanley added “I would think at some point we’ll do something. “It’s more, like, ‘Gee, that would be fun.’ We’re both busy, and there’s a mutual respect. Whatever happens beyond that is up for grabs.” The two rock icons already share one connection; their children went to the same school, according to Stanley.
