‘Vaccine chasers’ are camping out in hopes of getting ‘leftover’ shots – NYPost
The health minister of Sri Lanka who once said magic potions created by a sorcerer were the best Covid vaccine just tested positive for Covid.
If you think the nasal swab Covid test is invasive . . . look out. In Beijing, China, some hospitals have started using rectal swabs for Covid tests . . . since those can give more accurate results.
Back in November, KODAK BLACK Tweeted that if DONALD TRUMP got him out of prison, he would donate $1 million to charity within a year. Well, Trump DID commute Kodak’s sentence, and he’s a free man. But for some reason, that Tweet has DISAPPEARED. Does that mean Kodak Black is going back on his promise? After people started calling him out, his attorney responded that the Tweet was NOT appropriate in the first place, but he pointed out that Kodak has always given to charity and will continue to do so . . . but not in exchange for anything. He added, quote, “Instead of harping on a young black man and how much charity he does, why don’t we take a look at the amount of charity the writers of these articles do?” He added that Kodak has already given out $150,000 to various causes, and he’s only been out for FIVE DAYS.
DARIUS RUCKER picked up the tab for everyone eating at an IHOP in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina on Sunday morning. He also left a “very generous” tip for the servers. He was eating there too . . . and when he was done he told the manager that he wanted to pay for everyone’s meal. The manager told WMBF-TV, quote, “It caused a lot of excitement. We know him because he does come in quite often and we consider him a regular.” The place was packed, but the manager wouldn’t reveal how much Darius shelled out.
A young woman named Alana paid LINDSAY LOHAN to make a Cameo video coming out to her parents. But that’s not what Lindsey did for her. Check it out. Lindsay’s normal Cameo price is $400 . . . but right now you can get her for 50% off.
Americans are now spending an average of $47 a month on streaming services. That’s up 24% from last April, when we were spending $38 a month. 49% of Americans subscribe to FOUR streaming services . . . while 13% of us use SEVEN OR MORE. Obviously, the pandemic has a lot to do with the increase . . . but the launch of several new platforms including HBO Max and Peacock helped. Not surprisingly, Netflix is the #1 streaming service. It’s followed by Amazon Prime, Hulu, Disney+, HBO Max, Peacock, and Apple TV+.
Did you know Netflix knows you based on algorithms? Shockingly shocked right? Netflix is rolling out a “shuffle play” feature during the first half of this year. The feature will give the streaming service control over finding and auto-playing a new show for you, based on your algorithms. Netflix COO said the shuffle play feature will become permanent because subscribers “aren’t really sure what they want to watch. It’s really working for us where our members can basically indicate to us that they just want to skip browsing entirely, click one button and we’ll pick a title for them just to instantly play.”
Demi Lovato has been open about her eating disorder. Demi Lovato will also star in a comedy called Hungry on NBC about a group of friends who belong to a food issues group and help each other as they look for love, success and that one thing in the refrigerator that will make it all better. Hungry would be the first regular TV role for Lovato since she starred in Disney Channel’s Sonny With a Chance from 2009-11.
What famous couple met on New Year’s Eve in 1994 at a Sunset Strip supper club called Sanctuary. The pair would meet up a second time — just six weeks later — and end up married. Their love story…which involves booze drugs arrests assault jail 2 kids and a honeymoon video released for the world to see someone honk the boat horn with his dong… is getting made into a limited series. Hulu’s “Pam & Tommy” will star Lily James and Sebastian Stan Shooting is scheduled to begin this spring.
Meanwhile their 24 year old son Brandon caught a dude trying to break into his home. Of course started recording then threatened the dude with a baseball bat.
The “Hollywood Reporter” says that a live-action “Harry Potter” TV show is in “early development” at HBO Max. Sources say they’ve talked with potential writers, and “broad ideas” have been discussed . . . but nothing has been set in motion yet. HBO Max isn’t even willing to admit that there’s a possibility. An exec said, quote, “There are no ‘Harry Potter’ series in development at the studio or on the streaming platform.”
62 year old Ellen DeGeneres is struggling in the ratings after all that bad publicity the show got and I guess she got bad too. She has 1 year left on her deal. She always said she wouldn’t do it anymore when it wasn’t fun. Ratings have slipped 8%. Kelly Clarkson’s show follows Ellen and she matched Ellen’s ratings for the first time last month. Clarkson won 3 Day Time Emmys last year. All this is pointing to Clarkson taking over her spot IF Ellen decides to kick rocks.
The phrase I use at times “too rich and too famous for too long” applies here maybe? Madonna’s 24 year old daughter, Lourdes Leon, got on Instagram last week with a new account. First post was something from her Juicy Couture underwear modeling shoot. After one commenter posted, “Your mother made a masterpiece called Hard Candy” — referring to Madonna’s 2008 album — Leon responded, “your mother sucks wild d–k.” When another commenter wrote of Leon’s revealing first post, “not u thirst trapping… what would ur mom think?” — Leon fired back, “does your mom know u don’t wash ur ass.” And fan commented to Leon, “we’re waiting for your singing debut,” and that she responded, “I’ll sing at your funeral.” She cleaned it up. Her first post now says, “Comments on this post have been limited,” while her second and third posts with the Adidas and Stella McCartney clips seem to have the comments disabled.
The WWE Network has moved and you’ll be able to find all of the network’s programming on Peacock. NBC’s streaming service will absorb over 17,000 hours of WWE content. That includes all upcoming Pay-Per-View events like WrestleMania. This won’t be a huge cost change for current WWE Network subscribers. It will actually be a better deal. For $9.99, you can get a monthly, ad-free Peacock subscription. That was the same cost as WWE Network. Peacock will also give streamers more original entertainment. There is also a $4.99 Peacock subscription that will give you access to WWE programming with commercial breaks.
The U.S. Navy Band turned Taylor Swift’s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” into a sea shanty.
A British group did a sea shanty version of Nickelback’s “Rockstar,” and when the band found out, they added their own vocals on it.
Super Bowl commercials have been disappointing for YEARS now, and from the early returns, 2021 probably won’t be much different. But we can HOPE. Here are teasers for the seven ads that have been released so far:
Chipotle is running its first-ever Super Bowl ad, which is called “Can a Burrito Change the World?” They’re basically trying to restore their reputation after multiple foodborne illness outbreaks in recent years.
The E-commerce company Mercari is running a 15-second ad to show that you can “buy almost anything from home
Michelob Ultra’s 60-second spot is called “Happy,” and it’ll feature Serena Williams, Peyton Manning, Anthony Davis, and golfer Brooks Koepka
Used car retailer Vroom is using its first taste of Super Bowl airtime to remind us just how frustrating buying from a car dealership can be
Pepsi isn’t airing an ad during the Super Bowl, but it’s airing a TON of them to promote their Super Bowl Halftime Show with The Weeknd.
A Doritos ad will apparently involve Matthew McConaughey, Jimmy Kimmel, and Mindy Kaling.
And a Cheetos ad will feature Ashton Kutcher and his wife Mila Kunis

The Blues have yet to win back to back games in one of the two game series, but they have gotten a win in the first game of the series each time. Tonights puck drop is scheduled for 8PM.
We actually have some baseball news to chat about. Last night the MLBPA and the players voted AGAINST the use of the universal DH and the extended post season field. Both the extended field and the universal DH were used this past year during the shortened season, but, the players voted on it and it did not pass. The 2021 season – which according to the commissioner is scheduled to start ON TIME – is scheduled to begin on April 1st.
After the Buccaneers defeated the Packers on Sunday in the NFC Championship what’s next for Aaron Rodgers? Well, Rodgers was pretty unclear on his future with the team during a postgame press conference with an awkward silence before answering the question about his future. “A lot of guys futures, they’re uncertain, myself included.” Packers coach Matt LaFleur, spoke strongly about Rodgers’ returning for next season.”I sure as hell hope so. I mean, the guy’s the MVP of this league. He’s the heart and soul of our football team. So, hell yeah, he better be back here. He’s our leader.” So, what is Rodgers talking about? It’s probably nothing. But with Rodgers carrying the highest profile in the NFL for a quarterback not named Brady or Mahomes, the Packers quarterback situation will be worth monitoring.
Greg Olsen has officially announced his retirement from the NFL. He played for the Panthers, the Bears, and lastly the Seahawks and will now join the Fox broadcast team in some capacity. He finishes his career fifth all time among tight ends in receptions and receiving yards.
The NBA and the Players Association are talking about having an All-Star game in March. Looks like it’ll happen in Atlanta too. So it looks like the target date is March 7th and it’ll be a VERY scaled down version of the normal festivities during All-Star Weekend. One of the many reasons they say Atlanta is because that is the home of Turner Sports and they say none of their crew will have to travel to be there to put it on. However – there is a lot to do when it comes to the safety of the players too.
Its crazy to think that already – one year ago Kobe Bryant died in that helicopter crash. Wild. Last night before his game Kyrie Irving – who plays for the Nets – showed up to the game in a Kobe Bryant jersey to honor him.
Speaking of Kyrie…he is back with the Nets after being Missing In Action over the past few weeks . . . and the results on the court have been mixed. On Saturday, the Nets finally won with Kyrie again . . . and after the game, Kyrie wanted to hug and exchange uniforms with Bam Adebayo of the Miami Heat. But these days, hugging opponents is a no-no in the NBA due to COVID-19 rules. So even though they just sweated all over each other for 48 minutes, security wouldn’t let Kyrie and Bam get close to each other. Afterward, Bam said he’d give Kyrie the jersey another time.
And finally — 12th ranked Mizzou is in action tonight against Auburn. Tip off is scheduled for 8PM. And 22nd ranked SLU is also back in action for the first time in over a month. They host the Dayton Flyers tonight at Chafietz. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30PM.
