BOB SAGET was found dead in a hotel room in Orlando, Florida yesterday. There’s no word on the cause of death. Police say there were no signs of foul play or drug use. Bob was in the middle of a standup tour, and he’d just performed the night before in Jacksonville. His body was discovered sometime before 4:00 P.M. by hotel security. Of course – Bob was best known for playing Danny Tanner on “Full House” and he was the narrator on “How I Met Your Mother”. He was also the original host of “America’s Funniest Home Videos”. He was 65 years old.
Alex Baldwin denied rumors that he’s not cooperating in the investigation into the shooting of the cinematographer on the movie “Rust”. . In an Instagram video
Speaking of Baldwins — Everybody, at least on some level, knows they’re going to die. But some people are obsessed with it. IRELAND BALDWIN seems MORE than obsessed. She suffers from cardiophobia, which is the, quote, “constant fear that I’m dying from a heart attack.” She even bought herself a blood pressure machine, and it’s basically the only thing that puts her mind at ease. Ireland says she’s even called paramedics and gone to the hospital, only to be told her heart is fine. And she won’t take anti-anxiety meds because she doesn’t believe in them.
Spider-Man just keeps climbing! Spider-Man: No Way Home was No. 1 another week at the box office. The Sony and Marvel movie also went up the list of the top 10 grossing films of all time at the domestic box office, pulling in an estimated $32 million in its fourth weekend and bringing in nearly $668 million since its release. Sing 2 held at No. 2 in its third week with $12 million.
Disney and Pixar (LINK)’s Turning Red is headed straight for Disney+ amid the surge in COVID-19 cases. The Pixar film will bypass a theatrical release and instead launch exclusively on the streaming service March 11. It had previously been set to hit the big screen on that date. Disney said: “Given the delayed box office recovery, particularly for family films, flexibility remains at the core of our distribution decisions as we prioritize delivering the unparalleled content of The Walt Disney Co. to audiences around the world.”
Back in October, Bill Murray let slip something he probably wasn’t supposed to: During an interview, he strongly suggested he was finally doing a comic book movie. He didn’t say which one, but he didn’t make it hard to figure out. People quickly surmised that it was Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Now it seems Murray has done it again. In a new episode of The Eli Manning Show, Manning casually asked Murray, “Aren’t you in like a superhero movie coming out?” When Murray responded yes, Manning pressed him for more specifics, asking what his super-power is. He said: “My power is, I’m a bad guy.” He said nothing more about the matter, and Manning quickly changed the subject. So now we will have to wait and see.
Magnolia Network (LINK), the new joint venture between Chip and Joanna Gaines and Discovery, has removed one of its series from the air two days after the channel’s launch amid accusations of poor work and unexpected costs against its hosts. A rep for the network, confirmed that Home Work has been yanked after allegations surfaced against hosts Andy and Candis Meredith by homeowners on social media.
“Magnolia Network is aware that certain homeowners have expressed concerns about renovation projects undertaken by Candis and Andy Meredith,” the network said in a statement. “Within the last few days, we have learned additional information about the scope of these issues, and we have decided to remove Home Work from the Magnolia Network lineup pending a review of the claims that have been made.”
CBS has a reputation for being the network that old people watch. But this should help them rebrand: They’re rebooting the 1955 sitcom “The Honeymooners”. This time though, it’ll be a “bold, female-driven” story. Which makes you wonder why they would even call it “The Honeymooners” in the first place. The obvious reason is that it’s a recognizable brand. The show is about a couple who are, quote, “determined to have a marriage where they are true equals in every way. But what happens when a marriage has two heads of the household? Are they co-heads? Or no head at all?”
Michael Lang, one of the four original founders of 1969’s Woodstock Festival, has died of lymphoma at 77. Around 500,000 gathered for Woodstock in the tiny town of Bethel, New York to celebrate three days of peace, love and music with acts like Jimi Hendrix, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Janis Joplin and more. Lang told Billboard that he was inspired to create Woodstock after promoting The Miami Pop Festival earlier in 1969. The promoter would also oversee Woodstock’s 25th-anniversary festival in 1994 and the disastrous 1999 Woodstock, which ended in fires and violence. Lang also tried to organize a Woodstock 50th anniversary concert in 1999, but scrapped the idea after financial and contractual issues.
The latest concert must-have: Covid-sniffing canines. Bands like METALLICA, TOOL, and THE BLACK KEYS have used dogs to find traces of the virus in members of their crew, entourage, and anyone else who goes backstage. Metallica’s management company said, quote, “So far, knock on wood, the dogs have been knocking it out of the park . . . We haven’t had a dog miss anybody.” There are currently 12 dogs trained and working through Bio-Detection K9, with more being trained. They sniff people’s hands and feet, and now with the new variant, they’ll be sniffing masks. The company says not only are they faster and cheaper than a regular test, but they’re friendlier. A dog test costs around $2 a person. The only downside for the bands, is they can’t get too close to the dogs, because it’ll throw the dogs off their game.
THE WEEKND has resurrected those ANGELINA JOLIE dating rumors with a couple songs off his newest album, “Dawn FM”. So let’s take a look at these lyrics, and YOU can decide. ((AUDIO)) In the song “Here We Go…Again”, he says, quote, “My new girl, she a movie star.” As we know, Angelina IS a movie star. But wait, there’s more. In the song “Starry Eyes”, The Weeknd sings, quote, “I only met you in my dreams before, when I was young and alone in the world . . . And now you’re my reality, and I wanna feel you close, but you’re defeated, baby . . .Broken, hurtin’, sufferin’ from a shattered soul . . . You weren’t touched by a man in so long, ’cause the last time, it was way too strong.” The references here could be to The Weeknd and Angelina’s 15-year age gap, and also her public divorce with Brad Pitt. As for not being touched by a man in “so long”, Angelina’s only public fling since Brad was back in 2018 with a real estate agent.
Nicole Scherzinger apparently forgot to notify her fellow Pussycat Dolls that their long-awaited reunion tour has been cancelled. She announced the tour’s cancellation Friday on her Instagram Story, citing the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic surge. “Thank you to everyone who had tickets to see PCD — we are so appreciative of your support and loyalty. With the ever evolving circumstances surrounding the pandemic, I understand the decision that the tour dates had to be cancelled.” However, her fellow group members Jessica Sutta and Carmit Bachar claimed they weren’t officially informed of the cancellation until the rest of the world was, releasing a joint statement (LINK) on social media. They also posted a photo of the two of them, which Sutta, 39, captioned, “True sisterhood.”
As reported by Billboard, CD sales in the United States increased year-over-year for the first time since 2004. Vinyl may have just had its biggest sales week ever since 1991 just a couple of weeks ago, largely driven by holiday season spending (and Adele), but don’t count out the CD. The CD may have been losing pace to the vinyl resurgence in recent years, but 2021 proved to be a significant year for the discs, even as vinyl sales surged 51.4 percent compared to 2020. Much like vinyl’s big sales week less than a month ago, the increase in CD sales last year was aided by the November release of hit singer-songwriter Adele’s new album, 30. It was the biggest album of 2020 in regards to sales as she claimed the top spot for most CD, vinyl and digital sales.
A Doja Cat fan is behind bars Sunday after making a bomb threat at her concert. Doja Cat was performing at a concert in Indianapolis Saturday night, when the impatient fan wanted to cut the line to get inside. A Deputy Police Chief said, “A fan wanted to advance in line so he exercised very poor judgment and told those around him in line he had a bomb in his backpack.” Cops were called and no explosives were found, but the guy was arrested for unrelated, outstanding warrants. It’s always insane for anyone to make such a threat, but especially in these times… and not just because of the political landscape. After the Astroworld tragedy (LINK), lots of people are on edge at concerts, so something like this predictably will cause chaos. By the way … another, smaller incident once the concert began. Doja Cat stopped the show for a short while because 2 fans were fighting. Insane times all around.

World tennis number one Novak Djokovic was released from Australian immigration detention on Monday after winning a court challenge to remain in the country to pursue his bid for a record 21st Grand Slam title at the upcoming Australian Open. The fight may not be over, however, as a spokesman for Immigration Minister Alex Hawke said he was considering using his personal power to again revoke Djokovic’s visa. Serbia’s parliamentary speaker said he was concerned Hawke could still deport Djokovic, a move that would bar the 34-year-old from the country for three years.

There were two races to close out the final day of the U.S. Olympic long-track speedskating trials at the Pettit National Ice Center Sunday in Milwaukee, but there was one Olympic gold-medal gesture. Without even getting on the ice, Brittany Bowe wins the day, the week and the month. The U.S. speed skating star relinquished her 500-meter spot to teammate, friend and Ocala, Florida “skatesister”, Erin Jackson. Bowe will still compete in her third Olympics in the 1,000 and 1,500-meters, after skating so well here, but now so will Jackson.
The Raiders won 35-32 in overtime with a field goal as time expired to get an AFC wild-card spot, despite multiple fourth-down conversions by Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert and a touchdown to Mike Williams with no time on the clock in regulation that forced overtime. The Raiders won the coin toss in overtime and drove to get a go-ahead field goal. The Chargers matched it with a field goal of their own, after Herbert hit a fourth-and-9 completion to keep the game going. The Raiders kept it moving with Derek Carr making a great third-down pass to Zay Jones to get into Chargers territory with two minutes left. The Raiders ran it three times after that, not taking any risks when a tie meant a playoff berth, but the third run by Josh Jacobs broke into field-goal range. Daniel Carlson hit the field goal to win it, and the Pittsburgh Steelers celebrated too. The Chargers were eliminated despite a heck of a fight. The Steelers needed anything but a tie in the Chargers-Raiders game to make the playoffs, and they had to wait until the final play to get it.

Denver Broncos Fire Head Coach Vic Fangio
- After a 7-10 finish in his third season, the Denver Broncos have fired head coach Vic Fangio.
- Broncos president Joe Ellis said in a statement “For the last three seasons, Vic put his heart and soul into coaching the Broncos. I want to thank Coach Fangio for giving his maximum effort to our organization since the day he was hired.”
- Fangio had a few things against him; a 19-30 record, a long search for a permanent quarterback and a pandemic that saw the Broncos without a uniformed QB during their 2020 loss to the Saints.
- The Broncos also canned offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur and special teams coordinator Tom McMahon.
