Son disconnects power to home after mother turns off WiFi – actionnewsjax

A woman got into an argument Monday with her son and turned off the WiFi in the house, and in response he disconnected the power. They both were cited for fighting, police said.

Danielle Bregoli — otherwise known as Bhad Bhabie – was gifted to us about 4 years ago thru Dr Phil. She becomes internet famous and by 16 or 17 she has a gold record maybe 2. Was nominated for a Billboard Music Award a couple years ago.  According to what I saw now at age 17 she is entering rehab.  I read she’s receiving treatment for a combination of things … past trauma from her childhood, but also substance abuse in the form of prescription pills.Supposedly she’s doing well so far and is optimistic about her progress. She could be in there from 30-90 days. Next March when she turns 18 things should get interesting.

Only 39 of the more than 1,100 Number Ones on the Billboard 100 charts have actually started in first place . . . although it’s become more common in recent years. But ARIANA GRANDE has now done it FOUR times, which is more than any other artist in history. And it has only taken her about a year-and-a-half. Her #1 debuts are:  “Thank U, Next” in November of 2018 . . . “7 Rings” in February of 2019 . . . “Stuck with U” with Justin Bieber just last month . . . and now “Rain on Me” with Lady Gaga.

LEA MICHELE recently shared her support for George Floyd on social media, Tweeting, quote, “[He] did not deserve this.  This was not an isolated incident and it must end.  #BlackLivesMatter.” But that didn’t sit well with Samantha Ware, an African American actress who played Jane Hayward on the sixth season of “Glee” in 2015. She Tweeted, quote, “LMAO.  Remember when you made my first TV gig a living hell?!?!  ‘Cause I’ll never forget.  I believe you told everyone that if you had the opportunity, you would ‘[poop] in my wig!,’ amongst other traumatic microaggressions that made me question a career in Hollywood.” And other cast members seemingly implied that they’re on Ware’s side.   Amber Riley, who’s also black, has shared GIFs of herself sipping tea, while black actor Dabier Snell, who did an episode of the show in 2014, added, “GIRL YOU WOULDN’T LET ME SIT AT THE TABLE WITH THE OTHER CAST MEMBERS CAUSE ‘I DIDN’T BELONG THERE.'” A fan tweeted Lea Mivhalel is “racist” and maybe Chord Overstreet, another actor on the show, is a Trump supporter.  Kevin McHale responded “False,” then clarified that he only meant that about the claims against Overstreet. Lea hasn’t responded . . . but  food delivery service HelloFresh to end their partnership with Lea. They Tweeted, quote, “HelloFresh does not condone racism nor discrimination of any kind.  We’re disheartened and disappointed to learn of the recent claims concerning Lea Michele.  We take this very seriously, and have terminated our partnership with Lea Michele, effective immediately.”

When GARTH BROOKS talks, people listen.  And that’s a good thing. During his podcast he talked about his wife’s struggles right now.

Jennifer Aniston has joined with longtime photographer Mark Seliger to auction off a stunning nude photo of the actress to benefit COVID-19 relief. The 1995 black and white portrait is one of Aniston’s most iconic images, showing the beautiful in the buff but elegantly posed to hide any of her intimate parts.

New seasons of first person shooter game Call of Duty has been postpones. They tweeted about it yesterday. It is due to the unrest right now.  Both Modern Warfare Season 4 and Call of Duty: Mobile Season 7 are being moved to a later date. They did not GIVE a date by the way. Also, Sony rescheduled its PlayStation 5 reveal event, which was originally set to take place June 4.

Kevin Smith thinks about 20 is long enough and it is time to bring Clerks: The Animated Series. Kevin says  COVID-19 has hindered Hollywood’s ability to make live-action entertainment, leaving studios desperate for new content and looking towards animation houses. He’s into rebooting Clerks, as are several of his collaborators, and says it’s already “been time tested and vetted.” According to Smith, “All we have to do is turn the lights back on. It’s not like, now we’ve got to create all new designs. We have the basic designs. We have all that artwork and stuff.” Greenlight it, he says, and “10 episodes of the show could come out next year.”

We now know how “Fuller House” addressed Lori Loughlin’s abrupt disappearance from the show:  Aunt Becky was in Nebraska helping out her mother. Speaking of “Fuller House”, the show also takes one last shot at the Olsen Twins.  Kimmy says, “Hey, how long are you going to keep Michelle’s bike?,” and then she looks right at the camera and adds, quote, “If she hasn’t come for it by now, she’s not coming.”

Mission: Impossible 7 is prepared to restart filming in September after shutting down production earlier this year due to COVID-19. Looks like they will do the outdoor scenes first which seems likely and doable. With precautions in place. They still plan to shoot in all the countries as was the original plan .

A bunch of fake movie “facts” that people have posted on Reddit are trending online right now.  Some are just nonsense, and some are technically true . . . but still nonsense.  Here are some of the best ones we’ve seen . . .

In 1977, George Lucasnamed his franchise “Star Wars”, but not a single time do you ever see stars having wars.

  1. The 1994 movie, “The Lion King”correctly predicted the entire plot of the 2019 movie, “The Lion King”.
  1. Actors in black-and-white movies were often putting their lives in danger during driving scenes, as they weren’t able to tell if the traffic light was red or green.
  1. In the movie “Independence Day”, a dog named Boomer survives . . . which makes him an “OK Boomer”.
  1. The film “1917”is claimed to have been a one-shot movie.  This is impossible, as there were way too many guns fired.
  1. Despite his name, actor Adam Driverwas not considered for a role in “Baby Driver” . . . because he was 33 when the film came out, making him an “Adult Driver.”
  1. In “Jumanji:  Welcome to the Jungle”, Dwayne Johnsondid not have the power to read the map.  This is because paper beats Rock.
  1. All of Chris Hemsworth’sspace scenes in “Avengers:  Infinity War” were filmed on Earth to accommodate the actor’s oxygen dependency.
  1. In “The Matrix”, the name “Neo” is an anagram of the word “one” . . . foreshadowing how many good “Matrix”movies there would be.
  1. In “Titanic”, a team of scientists and oceanographers search for a priceless diamond that was presumed to have gone down with the ship . . . while an old lady tells a three-hour story about how she lost her virginity.
  1. The movie “127 Hours”is really only 1 hour and 34 minutes long.
  1. In “Space Jam”, Michael Jordanraises the stakes on the game halfway through.  This is a reference to his crippling gambling addiction.
  1. In “Star Wars:  The Rise of Skywalker”, Darth Vader’s destroyed mask is frequently displayed.  This is a nod to Disney destroying Darth Vader’s character arc.
  1. In “Batman vs. Superman”, in order to defeat a god who has super strength, laser eyes, and can fly . . . Bruce Wayne does pull-ups.

SHARON STONE went on Instagram to tell everyone NOT to be “overreactive” to the chaos happening around them.  BUT . . . you should consider creating a PANIC ROOM in your house to protect yourself.  She even filmed a handy step-by-step tutorial . . . you know, in case you’ve never created a panic room before.  You can do it in SIX easy steps . . .

  1. First, determine the best room in your house for a panic room.  Sharon suggests a bathroom for three reasons:  It probably has the “least windows” . . . you may feel “the most tucked-in there” . . . and it’s the place you can “lock yourself in the most.”  (Having a toilet with you is also a plus.)
  1. Make it comfortable, by placing some blankets and pillows in the tub.  She doesn’t say what to do if it’s just a half-bath . . . but we’re assuming you can just lay the blankets on the floor next to the toilet.
  1. Stock up on food and water.  Sharon suggests bringing a cooler for water, and, quote, “a few non-perishable things that you can eat . . . some fruit or some protein bars.”
  1. Don’t forget your technology.  Be sure to bring your “computer and cell phone chargers in there,” along with your computer itself, and your “extra cell phone.”
  1. Block ANY means of entry.  Some bathrooms DO have a window, and if that’s the case, Sharon says you’ll want to board that up.
  1. Finally, DON’T PANIC in this new panic room.  And if you think you’re going to panic, be sure to also have your panic medications with you.

She ends by saying, quote, “Stay safe, don’t be over-reactive.  This will come and go, like all things do.”

The NBA is beginning to finalize plans for the resumption of the 2019-20 season, with July 31 chosen as the league’s preferred start date. The league is targeting Oct. 12 as the last possible date for Game 7 of the NBA Finals. The NBA’s Board of Governors will reportedly vote on the league’s proposal on Thursday, though the final details of the plan still need to be confirmed by the NBPA.  The 2020 playoffs will be unlike any in league history, and not just due to the dates in which the postseason is held. The NBA is reportedly leaning toward a 22-team playoff format in which the No. 8 seed in each conference will be decided by a play-in tournament. Teams currently within six games of the No. 8 seed in their respective conference will be invited to resume the season, a group that includes the Pelicans, Blazers, Spurs, Kings, Suns and Wizards.

Chicago Cubs owner Tom Ricketts said that owners are not holding onto excess profits as they try to convince players to accept a revenue share to restart the 2020 MLB season. “The scale of losses across the league is biblical. The timing of the work stoppage, the inability to play was right before the season started. We’re looking at 30 teams with zero revenue. To cover the losses, all teams have gone out and borrowed. There’s no other way to do it in the short run. In the long run, we may be able to sell equity to cover some of our losses but that’s in the long run. Who would invest at the moment?” He then added he’s confident the two sides will agree to terms for some version of a season.

Latrobe, Pa., has been known for two things as a small town of less than 10,000 people about an hour east of Pittsburgh. The first is being the birthplace of Rolling Rock Beer. The second is hosting the Steelers annually for their preseason preparations for more than five decades. This year, the Steelers won’t be training at Saint Vincent College. The NFL, to help contain the spread of COVID-19, has ordered all 32 teams to conduct their 2020 training camps in their own local team facilities. While the Steelers have a terrific modern facility called the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Sportsplex in the South Side neighborhood in their own backyard, Latrobe has been their training camp home for over 54 years.  Although most teams hold camps in their team facilities now, other teams impacted by a full home camp are the Raiders (Napa, Calif., since 1996) and Cowboys (Oxnard, Calif., since 2004). Las Vegas will conduct camp in its new Henderson, Nev., headquarters, while Dallas won’t travel from The Star in Frisco, Texas.

Many sports leagues were forced to pause their seasons when the coronavirus pandemic shut down live events globally in mid-March, yet the 2020 IndyCar Series never had a chance to begin. But the 2020 IndyCar schedule, which was supposed to begin March 15, is back on track for (almost) a full season of racing. The updated IndyCar schedule for 2020 features 14 races, and it will end where it was originally set to begin, on the streets of St. Petersburg, Fla. The Bommarito Automotive Group 500 at Worldwide Technology Raceway at Gateway was originally supposed to run on August 22nd…now…it’s been moved to August 30th.

In an unusual attempt to save two of the top events in American tennis during the coronavirus pandemic, the United States Tennis Association has proposed staging a doubleheader in New York by moving a tournament that leads into the United States Open at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The move could allow foreign players to remain in one place for the duration of their stay in the United States, and establish a safer bubble for competitors similar to proposals by the N.B.A. and other sporting leagues. The proposal would move the Western & Southern Open – currently scheduled for Aug. 17 to 23 – from Cincinnati to New York, while the main draw of the U.S. Open is slated for Aug. 31 to Sept. 13.  It’s unclear, especially given quarantine guidelines, whether enough players would be prepared to travel to New York, one of the disease’s epicenters. Many players have gone without income as both the men’s and women’s tours have been shut down since mid-March and tons of tournaments have been postponed or canceled.

Notre Dame and Navy will not open the season in Dublin, Ireland. The Fighting Irish and Midshipmen were scheduled to open the season on Aug. 29 at Aviva Stadium in Dublin. According to a release from Navy, the academy had “extensive consultation with the Irish government, medical authorities and the leadership” amid concerns about the COVID-19 outbreak in both countries.  The good news? Notre Dame will come to Annapolis, Md., for the first time to play Navy, likely on Labor Day weekend. That would mark a new chapter in one of college football’s oldest series. Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium is a 34,000-seat stadium.

Former Washington Bullets player and coach Wes Unseld died Tuesday morning, according to his family. The family said in a statement that Unseld had lengthy health issues, most recently with pneumonia. He won the regular-season MVP award in 1969 and was a five-time All-Star. Unseld and Wilt Chamberlain (1960) are the only players in NBA history to win Rookie of the Year and MVP honors in the same season. He was 74.
