An anti-masker, conspiracy theory-loving mom in the U.S. is getting blasted after she said she grounded her teenage daughter for wearing a mask.

A guy in Pennsylvania was arrested for throwing frozen pizzas at a grocery store manager who asked him to put on a face mask.

Two guys walked into a jewelry store in India wearing face masks on Friday . . . rubbed on some hand sanitizer . . . then pulled out guns and robbed the place.

There are so many strange side effects with this messed up virus, but here’s another new one . . . for some people, it makes coffee smell like rotten meat.

27% of people say they’d be willing to wear a face mask during sex, according to a new survey.  And 35% would be willing to wear one to go to a strip club.

The pandemic has apparently led to a renaissance for glory holes as guys have been seeking them out have hookups without any face-to-face contact.  And with fewer people getting waxed during the pandemic, there could be an outbreak of lice-down-there.  (Full Story)

A 20-year-old college student in England left his dorm room window open when he went home to quarantine in March . . . and when he got back this week, he found pigeons had completely taken over the place.

A couple in Manitoba, Canada is getting blasted for doing a “coronavirus wedding photo shoot” . . . that included a bunch of people around them pretending to be dead while they wore masks.

Could the pandemic lead to an outbreak of LICE-DOWN-THERE?  Since fewer people are getting their special parts waxed during the pandemic with salons closed or limited, it’s giving lice a lot of new places to call home.

More heartbreaking details of NAYA RIVERA’s death have been released . . . and some of them come from an interview with her 4-year-old son Josey. Josey told police that Naya counted “1, 2, 3” before the two of them jumped off their pontoon boat into Lake Piru back in July. According to investigators, Naya was a good swimmer, but she had a history of vertigo that intensified when she was in the water.  Apparently, that caused her to struggle, but she made sure to get Josey back on the boat. Then he heard his mother yell “Help!” and saw her lift her arm in the air, before disappearing under the water. Naya had a small amount of prescribed amphetamines in her system, along with an anti-anxiety medication and an appetite suppressant.  The drugs were not identified as factors in her death.

If you saw the final Avengers movie you saw Chris Evans’ ass. If you have Google you can now see Chris Evans’ penis. He accidentally shared it and some others on Instagram in the stories. In one pic it was in the upright and locked postion.  There was also a picture of Chris’ face with the text, “Guard that [kitty].”  Chris hasn’t commented, but some other celebrities did.  His “Avengers” co-star MARK RUFFALO Tweeted, quote, “While Trump is in office there is NOTHING you could possibly do to embarrass yourself.  See . . . silver lining.” Chris’ brother Scott said, quote, “Was off social media for the day yesterday.  So.  What’d I miss?”

TOM HANKS is back in Queensland, Australia . . . where he and his wife RITA WILSON were quarantined with COVID-19 earlier this year. Tom was over there shooting an ELVIS movie where he plays Colonel Tom Parker when they got infected.  He’ll resume filming as soon as he finishes a two-week quarantine.

Director Baz Luhrmann says he hopes the film can be, quote, “an example how creativity and productivity can proceed safely and responsibly in a way that protects our team and the community at large.”

“Wonder Woman 1984” is being delayed until Christmas . . . and the new “Candyman” has been pushed back to 2021.

“The Golden Girls” turns 35 today.  The first episode aired September 14th, 1985.  Did you know the theme was originally a hit song seven years earlier?  Andrew Gold made it to #25 with “Thank You for Being a Friend” in 1978. Betty White was 63 in 1985.

For the first time since the 1980s, vinyl records have outsold CDs. In the first half of the year, vinyl accounted for $232.1 million of music sales.  CDs only brought in $129.9 million.  Vinyl grew by 4% in the first half of 2020, while CD sales were down 48%.  Overall, physical sales are down 23%.  Which isn’t all THAT surprising, since the world is pretty much moving to streaming and digital music . . . and records are the only physical medium that’s “trendy” right now. Streaming is up 12%, and accounts for more than 85% of music industry revenue.

This year’s Farm Aid is going virtual, but there will be tons of performers.  Willie Nelson, Dave Matthews, Neil Young, and John Mellencamp will lead the way . . . and guest performers include Chris Stapleton, Jamey Johnson, Brandi Carlile, Margo Price, Jack Johnson, Boz Scaggs, and Bonnie Raitt.  Farm Aid 2020 On the Road is going down September 26th. You can find out more about broadcast and streaming options at FarmAid.org.

Jeopardy! GOAT Ken Jennings will be returning to show for its 37th season as a consulting producer on the show. He will ” develop projects and serve as a general ambassador for the show.”  Alex Trebek will also be back, even as he continues to battle pancreatic cancer. Due to coronavirus pandemic, the quiz show will film without a studio audience and with more space between Trebek and contestants. The new season kicks off today.

It’s been more than 40 years since kids started playing home video games . . . which means it’s been more than 40 years since parents started yelling, “Turn that damn thing off and go outside!!!” But maybe that’s the wrong strategy.  Ian Porter and Anthony Cuevas-Castro are better known by their gaming handles Crimsix and Shotzzy.  And they recently won $1.5 million playing “Call of Duty”.  They also get salaries and paid endorsements. And their message to parents is:  LET THEM PLAY!!! Crimsix says his parents were “super strict” and against him becoming a pro gamer.  But he took summer classes so he could graduate high school early and start playing.  Obviously, it paid off.  He’s 28 now. Shotzzy is only 19, and his parents were a lot more understanding.  His mother gave him a few years to pursue his dream before having to get a real job . . . which he never had to do. Here is Shotzzy

Some people think “The Walking Dead” has gone on WAY too long. AMC announced the upcoming 11th season will be the last.  But instead of the usual 16 episodes, it’ll have 24, and it’ll be stretched out over two years.   And we’ll actually get 30 more episodes, because, as previously announced, the show is adding six additional episodes onto the end of Season 10. All told, the show is expected to air new episodes through late 2022. On top of that, there are two more spin-offs in the pipeline:  One will follow Norman Reedus (Daryl) and Melissa McBride (Carol).  It’ll launch in 2023. And there’s also a scripted anthology series called “Tales of the Walking Dead”, which will feature “individual episodes or arcs featuring new or existing characters, backstories or other stand-alone stories.” They join “Fear the Walking Dead” and the limited series “The Walking Dead: World Beyond”, which premieres next month.

Get ready for “He’s All That”, a remake of the classic 1999 teen comedy “She’s All That”. The original starred FREDDIE PRINZE JR. as a guy who decides to get revenge on the ex who dumped him by taking a dorky art student and turning her into prom queen material.  RACHAEL LEIGH COOK played the art student. In this one, TikTok star ADDISON RAE takes on the Freddie Prinze Jr. role.  There’s no word on the rest of the cast.  .

“Law & Order: SVU” has 21 seasons under its belt.  And even if you’ve been watching it the whole time, I bet you can’t remember all the people who’ve made guest appearances.  The website Insider.com put together a list of 30 celebrity guest stars you’ve probably forgotten, who played VILLAINS.

Here are the highlights:

1.  Elizabeth Banks played a murdering porn star on Season 3.

2.  On Season 3, Henry Winkler played a man who was stealing money from his wife.  Insult to injury:  His wife was a rape victim.

3.  David Harbour from “Stranger Things” played a guy who kidnapped and assaulted young girls on Season 4.  It was his first acting credit.

4.  Innocent little “Wonder Years” kid FRED SAVAGE appeared on Season 4 as a serial rapist.

5.  Hayden Panettiere murdered a doctor during Season 6.

6.  On Season 8, Bob Saget played a guy who implants a tracking chip in his wife, finds out she’s cheating on him, and kills her.

7.  On Season 9, Robin Williams played a sound engineer who used his expertise to cause chaos, including getting someone to commit suicide.

8.  Luke Perry played a serial rapist on Season 10.

9.  On Season 12, John Stamos played a “reproductive abuser”, a guy who gets women pregnant without their consent.  In his case, he poked holes in condoms.  But it caught up to him, because he was found dead with his chest ripped open.

10.  A pre-“Riverdale” Lili Reinhart played a teen killer on Season 13.

Chicago Cubs righthander Alec Mills threw the 16th no-hitter in franchise history in a 12-0 win over the Milwaukee Brewers Sunday. Mills struck out five Brewers, walked three and needed 114 pitches to complete the no-hitter. Sunday’s victory was the sixth of Mills’ career. The record for fewest victories prior to a no-hitter is held by Burt Hooton, who tossed his no-no for his second big-league win. This is also the first time both Chicago ball clubs have recorded no-hitters in the same season.

Angels first baseman Albert Pujols blasted his 660th career home run on Sunday against the Rockies, tying Willie Mays for fifth on the all-time list. The two-run homer was Pujols’ fourth of the season, and gave the Angels a 4-3 lead in the eighth inning, and Pujols reaches No. 660 in his 2,854th career game, while it took Mays 2,980 games to accomplish that feat. The 2020 season has already seen Pujols move into fifth all-time in doubles (669), passing George Brett and Craig Biggio, and into third place on the all-time RBI list above Alex Rodriguez.  In his ninth season with the Angels, Pujols ranks fifth in franchise history with 216 home runs and fifth in RBIs (768). He now trails only Barry Bonds (762), Hank Aaron (755), Babe Ruth (714) and Alex Rodriguez (696) on the all-time homers list.

Mike D’Antoni informed the Rockets on Sunday that he will not return as head coach in 2020-21, according to ESPN.  D’Antoni’s contract with Houston ended on Saturday as the Rockets were eliminated by LeBron James and the Lakers in the second round. D’Antoni and the Rockets previously discussed contract extensions prior to 2019-20, but talks fell through before opening night.

Speaking of the NBA it was yet another comeback victory for the Denver Nuggets as they force game 7 with the LA Clippers by winning yesterday by a score of 111 to 98. At one point the Clippers were up by 17 and ended up getting buried. The Nuggets are the first team in NBA history to play a Game 7 in four-straight playoff series. Game 7 is tomorrow at 8pm.
In a wild comeback that seemed improbable and predictable, lost and then found, Dominic Thiem battled from two sets down to win the United States Open on Sunday night over Alexander Zverev, 2-6, 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, 7-6 (6). Thiem, a 27-year-old Austrian, won his first Grand Slam tournament in his fourth major final. A critical factor was that this time neither Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal nor Novak Djokovic stood on the other side of the net.
Thiem, one of a group of promising younger players who have long failed to topple those aging giants, became the first currently active player in his 20s to win a Grand Slam event. He is the first new Grand Slam champion in six years.

Brayden Point had a goal and an assist, and the Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the New York Islanders 4-1 in Game 4 to extend their lead in the Eastern Conference Final at Rogers Place in Edmonton on Sunday. The Vegas Golden Knights will be facing elimination when they play the Dallas Stars in Game 5 of the Western Conference Final on tonight at 7pm.
So much had to break the right way for the NFL to get here, but the first Sunday of the 2020 season, during a global pandemic, is in the books. A full slate of games kicked off, with the Jacksonville Jaguars being the only home team to host fans as the country continues to face the COVID-19 pandemic. But there were some huge names in new places, none bigger than Tom Brady making his debut for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Cam Newton replacing Brady in New England, as well as come-from-behind victories and a reigning MVP in Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson picking up right where he left off. So how did Cam Newton do filling Brady’s shoes in NE? Just fine. Newton, the 2015 NFL MVP, and the Patriots showcased just how dangerous he is when he can be used as a dual threat in their 21-11 victory against the Dolphins.

Two second-year passers in Minshew of the Jaguars and Murray of the Arizona Cardinals led their teams to huge upsets against division rivals. Minshew was surgical, completing 19 of 20 passes for 173 yards and three touchdowns in a 27-20 takedown of the Indianapolis Colts.

So while we are south how did Tom Brady do? The six-time Super Bowl winner threw two interceptions, including a pick-six, in a 34-23 loss to the host New Orleans Saints. It was just his fourth loss in a season opener. And it was the third consecutive game in which he threw a pick-six (last season’s AFC wild-card game vs. the Tennessee Titans and a Week 17 loss to the Miami Dolphins, both while with the Patriots). It marked Brady’s first multi-interception game in an opener since 2003 (he threw four interceptions against the Bills in Week 1) and his first pick-six in an opener since 2009. Brady completed 23 of 36 passes for 239 yards and two touchdowns, while scoring a third on the ground. Brady, who was sacked three times, wasn’t alone in his struggles. The entire team at different points seemed to be still trying to figure it all out.
