Here’s an interesting option if you’ve had to postpone your wedding indefinitely because of the pandemic.  An airplane charter company is selling a “Wedding in the Sky” where you can get married in front of close family and friends on a private plane.

North Korea has taken new steps against coronavirus . . . land mines.  They’ve put them on their border areas with China to try to keep the virus away.

Character actress Elsa Raven died Tuesday at the age of 91. You may know her from this role.  She was the “Save The Clock Tower” lady in the original Back to the Future. She also played the realtor who sold the house in The Amityville Horror, John Malkovich’s landlady in In the Line of Fire, Gertrude Stein in The Moderns and the mother who lost her son in Fearless. She also played Ida Strauss in Titanic, in which most of her scenes were cut. But she was featured in the Celine Dion video for “My Heart Will Go On” as half of the older couple in the stateroom where water poured in.

MICHAEL J. FOX’s days as an actor might be numbered obviously due to his Parkinson’s (Diagnosed in 1991 and made it public in 1998) He said his short term memory is going. He says he always was good with lines on set and the last couple jobs he did he struggled. He’s working on his fourth book.  It’s called “No Time Like the Future”, and it’s out on the 17th. Michael says, quote, “I’m down to this.  My guitar playing is no good.  My sketching is no good anymore, my dancing never was good, and acting is getting tougher to do.  So it’s down to writing.  Luckily, I really enjoy it.”

I already mentioned that Dave Chappelle is to host SNL this weekend. Which should be amazing enough given Chappelle hosted the first SNL after Trump was elected. So no matter this outcome it will be entertaining. To up the entertainment level the Foo Fighters have been added as the musical guest. And it looks like Foo Fighters are about to make an announcement on their tenth studio album. People have been sharing pictures of the letters “FF” and “X” spray-painted on buildings along Hollywood Boulevard and in Sherman Oaks. This apparently will be there 10th studio album. Many believe Friday the 13th is a drop date.

The day after Halloween is now the start of Christmas Season. States evidence number 1…On November 1st, streams of MARIAH CAREY’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” immediately started surging.  On Sunday and Monday, it was streamed 1.14 million times in the U.S.  That’s up 160% from the 715,000 clicks it got on October 30th and 31st. .

The Offspring MAY have something to say about Maria Carey’s long strangle hold on Xmas music. They finished an album a bit ago but haven’t released it yet BUT we got a new Christmas song from them. And it isn’t an Offspting version of a Christmas song. It’s a Christmas song

Netflix and ESPN nailed it with the Michael Jordan docuseries ‘The Last Dance’.  Same producers and a new icon of a sport…Stone Cold Steve Austin. A documentary is in the works on him. You have plenty of time to get the wrassling fellers together. It isn’t scheduled to come out until 2021.

Speaking of doing another one. Can you tell me what movie this is from? It’s been 15 years since Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson since Wedding Crashers came out in July of 2005. $40 million dollar budget and a $288.5 million dollar box office. And it seems as though they are talking sequel.  Vince Vaughn says he and Owen Wilson and the Director have shared good ideas and its in the early stages but looks like its gonna happen.

Anyone watched that new version of “The Witches” with ANNE HATHAWAY? Well it has offended members of the disabled community, because the witches are missing the two middle fingers on each hand. A British Paralympic swimmer named Amy Marren asked Warner Brothers, quote, “Was there much thought given as to how this representation of limb differences would affect the limb difference community?!” Another disability advocate said, quote, “Disability should NOT be associated with evil, abnormality, disgust, fear or monsters.”  She also pointed out that the witches did NOT have three fingers in the original story. Warner Brothers issued a statement saying they’re “deeply saddened” that people were upset . . . and they never meant for anyone to feel like “the fantastical, non-human creatures were meant to represent them.” They added, quote, “This film is about the power of kindness and friendship.  It is our hope that families and children can enjoy the film and embrace this empowering, love-filled theme.”  “The Witches” is on HBO Max.

Wanna play Kenny Chesney‘s guitar? Wear George Clooney‘s watch? How about a designer bag from Jennifer Aniston‘s closet?  Kenny, Jen and a bunch of other celebs are marking Veterans Day this year by supporting Homes for Our Troops and raising funds with a massive online auction. Other items going to the highest bidder include a dress worn by Mindy Kaling and a chance to hang on set with Jake Gyllenhaal. The auction opens the day before Veterans Day — and it’s being spearheaded by George, Mindy, CNN’s Jake Tapper and Wynonna Judd. This year’s auction looks a little different due to the pandemic, and a bunch of famous folks are offering zoom hangouts in lieu of meet and greets. George’s watch, Jen’s Louis Vuitton tote and Kenny’s guitar are all autographed … and there’s a bunch of signed sports memorabilia from NFL players like Jimmy Garoppolo, Baker Mayfield, Chandler Jones and Jimmy Graham. Get in your bids before the November 17 deadline, and you could win a zoom chat with celebs like Ben Stiller, Bryan Cranston, Dave Matthews, Elizabeth Banks, Jerry Seinfeld and Olivia Wilde. The Home for Our Troops celeb auction is in its 4th year, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the organization, which donates and builds custom homes for wounded vets.

It’s time for the Goop Holiday Gift Guide.  So what awesome gifts has Gwyneth curated for us this year?

For only 15 bucks get your loved one the 128-page “Vulva Coloring BookAnd what living room is complete without a lamp made out of an actual LOAF OF BREAD???  Don’t worry, it’s coated in resin…If there’s someone on your holiday gift list who just can’t stop popping out kids, but she’s getting sick of the hospital bills, maybe she needs her very own BIRTHING CHAIR.  The Labour Silla will only run you $7,500, and it allows expectant moms to, quote, “sit, kneel, squat, rest, lean, and crawl until they find peace and comfort.”…There is a purse made specifically to get a watermelon from Whole Foods to your mansion without it breaking through the bag and smashing on the floor.  I think it’s made of leather but the click thru website is in Japanese.  Because of this, I also have no idea how much it costs…This one looks great but its also $13,600. It is a Studypod.  It’s basically just a tiny room that sits outside.  It looks like a giant version of those phone charger bricks you plug into your wall . . .But one side is all window, and it’s big enough to fit a desk and chair in.  Or you can put a BED in there, or maybe just lay down a yoga mat and get your stretch on.  It’s kind of like being outside, but still inside…And, if the candle wasn’t enough for you, there’s always the This Smells Like My Vagina PERFUME, available in a roll-on…And finally the JOCK…which is short for JO SOCK…It comes in both ankle and tube length. It is softer on the inside then a regular sock and has a tube of lube that’s available at an extra cost.

The San Francisco 49ers will be without left tackle Trent Williams and wide receivers Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel for tonight’s game against the Packers after they were placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Samuel (who was already out for the game due to injury), Aiyuk and Williams were deemed “close contacts” to receiver Kendrick Bourne.  The matchup between the Niners and Packers is still scheduled to be held. Kickoff tonight is scheduled for 7:20 – be sure to make your picks at 1057thepoint.com/picks.

Matthew Stafford has been placed on the Lions’ reserve/COVID-19 list leaving the quarterback’s status for Sunday’s game against the Vikings in jeopardy.  Stafford is considered a “high-risk close contact” from a non team member. That last contact came on Monday, which means it’s possible Stafford could come off the reserve/COVID-19 list on Sunday and play against the Vikings. The Lions will have to fly Stafford on a private plane to Minnesota because he will still be in the five-day isolation window when the team departs on Saturday. If Stafford can’t play, Chase Daniel, an 11-year veteran, is in line to start for the Lions.

The Houston Texans reportedly have a new quarterback, Josh McCown had been signed to the Texans’ active roster. McCown was on the Philadelphia Eagles’ practice squad and appeared to be on the brink of retirement. However, it appears the 41-year-old is not done just yet.  McCown was originally drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the third round of the 2002 NFL Draft out of Sam Houston State. He’s been a journeyman quarterback, and will be playing for his 12th NFL team. He last played in the Eagles’ wild-card playoff matchup against the Seattle Seahawks last year, and completed 18 of 24 passes for 174 yards. This is an interesting development since the Texans have AJ McCarron to back up Deshaun Watson, but interim head coach Romeo Crennel apparently saw the opportunity to sign a veteran signal-caller and jumped on it.

The NBA’s board of governors and players’ association will hold separate meetings today expected to come together with an agreement on starting the 2020-21 season on Dec. 22 and playing a reduced 72-game schedule. The Players Association is planning to take a formal vote of the team player representatives, and sources say that everything is progressing toward an agreement on a pre-Christmas start to the season.

When the Dodgers clinched the 2020 World Series championship last week, a lot of people talked about Justin Turner being on the field even despite testing positive for COVID 19. Turner was removed from the Game 6 clincher after testing positive for COVID-19, yet he returned to the field for the celebration, and was photographed maskless and in close proximity with teammates at times. The collectively bargained COVID-19 protocols forbid players from leaving the isolation area following a positive test, a protocol Turner broke. MLB and the MLBPA are close to a resolution on Turner. Turner would not be disciplined for contracting COVID-19, of course. He would be disciplined for breaking protocol and going back out onto the field. It’s not just his teammates he could’ve infected. There were family members and camera people and employees handing out championship hats and shirts on the field, among others. They were all at risk as well.

Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff show will proceed Saturday without its regular hosts because of COVID-19 quarantine protocols. Rob Stone, Brady Quinn, Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart and Urban Meyer will not be included in the show. It will instead be a condensed, one-hour broadcast hosted by Charissa Thompson, Terry Bradshaw, and Howie Long ahead of the USC-Arizona State game.  The statement said the decision was made “out of an abundance of caution for our team” while adhering to guidance from the CDC public safety guidelines. Reports from the network “could not say if any of the on-air broadcasters had COVID-19.”

Saturday’s ACC game between Louisville and Virginia has been pushed back by a week because of positive tests and quarantining within the Cardinals program, according to a statement from the ACC. The two teams are now scheduled to play Nov. 14.

The 2020 Houston Open kicks off today.  It was originally reported that Tiger Woods could play in the tournament, but he has decided to sit out.  The Houston Open is the last tournament before the Masters kicks off next weekend.  First tee time for the Houston Open is this morning around 6:45AM.
