People with SNEEZE FETISHES are conflicted over coronavirus.  On one hand, they love people sneezing.  But on the other hand, they’re really worried about the contagiousness . . . and that affects how much watching sneezes turns them on.

RYAN REYNOLDS and BLAKE LIVELY are basically admitting that they made a mistake in getting married at a PLANTATION in South Carolina in 2012. It was at the Boone Hall Plantation & Gardens, which has a website boasting “nine historic slave cabins.”  Also, the road in front of the property is “Slave Street.”  And they’re making a $200,000 donation to the NAACP.  In a long social media post, they said, quote, “We’ve never had to worry about preparing our kids for different rules of law or what might happen if we’re pulled over in the car.

David Guetta ( French DJ, record producer and songwriter. He has sold over nine million albums and thirty million singles worldwide. In 2011, Guetta was voted as the number one DJ in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll).is getting RAKED OVER THE COALS for giving Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech a dance-friendly, EDM remix.

The music industry is “BLACKING OUT” today in response to the deep racial unrest, after recent deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and “countless other Black citizens at the hands of police.” It’s an initiative that started on social media called #TheShowMustBePaused . . . and it’s meant to be “a day to take a beat for an honest, reflective, and productive conversation about what actions we need to collectively take to support the Black community.” Def Jam, Interscope, Columbia Records, Island Records, Sony/ATV, Capitol, Republic, Warner Music Group, BMG, UMG, and independent distributor EMPIRE are among the record labels who have joined in. But it’s unclear exactly what is happening.  There are a lot of strong sentiments about the racism and protests . . . and there are promises to formulate more specific directives in the future . . . but there’s no clear definition for now. Some labels have given employees the day off . . . others aren’t putting out music this week . . . others are canceling programming, like radio shows . . . and there are some who are donating to causes and working with non-profits.

There won’t be a Miss America pageant this year due to the coronavirus pandemic . . . so the current Miss America Camille Schrier will become the first woman to serve TWO years. She said, quote, “I realized now that I’m probably going to be a ‘Jeopardy!’ question.  It’s definitely incredible.  As someone who’s a non-traditional competitor in the Miss America organization, it’s kind of on-brand for me to do it this way.” She’s probably talking about how she made history when she performed the first-ever science demonstration in the talent portion of the competition. She was crowned back in December . . . and she’ll now continue her reign until December of 2021 when a new Miss America is crowned.  (Assuming there still is an America to reign over at that point.) If you’re wondering what Miss America is, well, DOING . . . Camille said she’s promoting drug safety and abuse prevention, while championing STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) education.

Record Store Day 2020 was supposed to take place in April; then it was rescheduled to June due to the coronavirus pandemic. Now organizers have announced that it’s being pushed back yet again–and spread out across three days over three separate months–to help enforce social distancing. On August 29, several RSD exclusives will drop, including archival releases from David Bowie, Gorillaz, The Cure, and New Order, a new Billie Eilish live album, a reissue of the Dune soundtrack’ and more. On a podcast last month, former NYPD cop Steve Stanulis, who once served as Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s bodyguard, called the rapper one of his “least favorite people” to work with. Now Knaye is suing mad threatening Stanulis with a $10 million lawsuit if he discusses them again, saying he violated a confidentiality agreement. Stanulis lawyer called the legal threat “unwarranted,” explaining that Stanulis was simply dishing old dirt while promoting his new movie, 5th Borough, which stars Tara Reid.

Disney World has started using Storm Troopers from “Star Wars” to encourage social distancing.  Someone posted a video where two of them are up on a balcony in the park, talking about face masks and staying a “Bantha’s length away” from other people. (A “Bantha” is the elephant-sized creature the Tusken Raiders (“Sand People”) rode in the first “Star Wars”.)

The 35th anniversary of “Back to the Future” is July 3rd, but it was just announced that a lot of merchandise based on the movie will be available June 30th.  Funko says they’ll have a “Back in Time” board game, plus movie themed Funko Pops.  Loungefly will offer a back pack and lunch box.

MLB owners on Monday reportedly made a major shift in their negotiations with players on the structure of a 2020 season. MLB is now willing to honor the March accord in which players agreed to prorate their 2020 salaries based on the number of games played but are also angling for a much shorter regular season — in the neighborhood of 50 games.

Commissioner Manfred as part of that March agreement can impose a regular season of any length so long as prorated salaries are paid and so long as bargaining has been deemed “good faith” in nature.

Former New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Lenny Dykstra has had quite a few run-ins with the law over the years. Dykstra recently found himself in the courtroom once again after filing a lawsuit against former teammate and current Mets broadcaster Ron Darling. Darling alleged that Dykstra yelled racial slurs at Red Sox pitcher Dennis Boyd prior to Boyd taking the mound during the 86 World Series. Dykstra denied that the incident ever took place and ended up filing a lawsuit against Darling for defamation and emotional distress. The lawsuit has been dismissed and the reason is fairly intriguing. The judge actually agreed with Darling’s claim that Dykstra had such a terrible reputation, that it would be impossible to libel him. Here’s what the judge had to say of Dykstra: Based on the papers submitted on this motion, prior to the publication of the book, Dykstra was infamous for being, among other things, racist, misogynist, and anti-gay, as well as a sexual predator, a drug-abuser, a thief, and an embezzler. Further, Dykstra had a reputation—largely due to his autobiography—of being willing to do anything to benefit himself and his team, including using steroids and blackmailing umpires. Considering this information, which was presumably known to the average reader of the book, this Court finds that, as a matter of law, the reference in the book has not exposed Dykstra to any further “public contempt, ridicule, aversion or disgrace,” or “evil opinion of him in the minds of right-thinking person’s.” The judge also detailed some of Dykstra’s wrongdoings in the past, which include grand theft, embezzlement, and assault with a deadly weapon.

MLS is on the verge of a potential lockout after the league has reached a roadblock while negotiating with the MLS Player Association on terms to resume play in Orlando. The players union voted Sunday to approve a counteroffer to MLS for the 2020 season, but the league reportedly doesn’t intend to budge on its previous offer. The MLS has given players until noon Tuesday to accept their final proposal, and if they reject it, they will be locked out. The MLSPA released a statement saying its proposal includes salary reductions across the entire player pool, additional concessions to existing and future terms of the collective bargaining agreement and for the current CBA to be extended for one year to 2025. The MLS season was suspended on March 12 due to the coronavirus pandemic, and the league recently approved voluntary small group training sessions outdoors. MLS and the players union have reportedly negotiated health and safety protocols for an upcoming summer tournament in Orlando.

The complete schedule for the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup is out following the draw last night. All nine clubs will compete for a month in Utah with the hopes of taking home the inaugural trophy for the top women’s league in the world. There will be nine matchdays in the preliminary round before before the knockout stage begins in the middle of July. The opening game and the final will air on CBS while all other matches will be available on CBS All Access.

Following heavy disapproval from some fellow professional golfers, Vijay Singh has pulled out of the Korn Ferry Tour event to be held at TPC Sawgrass on June 11-14. Singh, who has won 34 times on the PGA Tour, was eligible for the event but was raked over the coals by some of the younger pros trying to make their way because he was taking up a spot from somebody trying to earn a PGA Tour card. Singh has already earned his PGA Tour card for life (20 PGA Tour wins will get you there) and just wanted to get some reps in as he couldn’t get into the Charles Schwab Challenge on the PGA Tour that same week. That event is a more limited field and nearly all the top players have entered, which kept Singh from playing in it. In a strange turn of events, Singh was most loudly criticized by Korn Ferry Tour player Brady Schnell. “Hey @VijaySinghGolf you are a true piece of trash if you except money playing in a Korn Ferry Tour event and I’ll say it right to your face.” Then Phil Mickelson — of all people! — stood up for Singh saying that he has “earned the right to play when and where he wants.” Mickelson and Singh were not very close during their careers at the top of the Official World Golf Rankings so for Lefty to say anything at all was quite meaningful.

Rob Gronkowski lost his WWE 24/7 title to R-Truth on Monday’s Raw. The Buccaneers tight end suffered a brutal defeat as he was attacked by R-Truth as he attempted to film a TikTok video. R-Truth snuck up on Gronkowski before pinning him to the ground to reclaim the title.  Gronkowski had been the longest-reigning 24/7 champion in WWE history after the title was established in May 2019. He won the belt in April at WrestleMania 36 by pinning his friend Mojo Rawley during the event’s second night. There have been multiple titleholders in the past year, but R-Truth has claimed it 36 times.
