Adam Sandler seems to be a good guy who takes care of people right? Well look for the name Alaina Pinto in a movie of his soon. She WAS a morning news anchor at channel 7 in Boston. She made an appearance in Sandlers Hubie Halloween. Just a cameo. She played a news anchor in the film, which was shot in Massachusetts. Her character, like others in the fictional channel’s studio, dressed as Harley Quinn for Halloween and cracked jokes about the outfit. She tweeted yesterday that she was fired because that inadvertently violated her contract

Someone DM’d me about this and it was all of social media but the rumors NOT true that DUSTIN DIAMOND . . . a.k.a. Screech from “Saved By the Bell” . . . DIED in a PRISON RIOT at the age of 43. Quick IS he even IN prison? He did do a few months behind bars for pulling a knife during a bar fight, but that was five years ago. The story says that during the prison riot, quote, “an unknown man pulled out a shank and stuck it in Dustin’s neck, severing the carotid artery [and] causing a dramatic loss of blood resulting in his death.” It also says, quote, “The family is asking for donations to help pay off strip clubs and bars Dustin owed money to. Donations for a headstone are also appreciated.” Dustin hasn’t commented, and he’s been flying under the radar recently, so it’s unclear what he’s up to . . . other than NOT being shanked in prison.
There’s a rumor going around that former Spider-Man stars ANDREW GARFIELD and TOBEY MAGUIRE will make an appearance in “Spider-Man 3”, alongside the current star TOM HOLLAND. The studio didn’t DENY it . . . a rep just said, quote, “Those rumored castings are not confirmed.” Tobey played Peter Parker from 2002 to 2004 . . . Andrew took over from 2012 to 2014 . . . and Tom made his first on-screen appearance as Spider-Man in 2016. It’s unclear exactly how it would work . . . but the rumor called it a potential “live-action Spider-verse,” where Doctor Strange and time travel come into play, so that the other Spider-Men could join Tom’s version in an epic battle.
I will describe a movie from 1984 to see if you can guess it. A teenaged boy living in a trailer park who used video games as a way to disappear from his humdrum life. When he becomes the highest scoring player on an arcade game called Starfighter, the boy is kidnapped by an alien and learns that the game is actually a training simulator for a real-life interplanetary conflict, and he’s drafted into their war. The last Star Fighter. They are doing a sequel. The lead characters are now parents and will all be updates to present time. FYI the ending credits of the theatrical release in 1984 promised a video game based on the movie by Atari. As a matter of fact the first 3D game from Atari. Then Atari saw the film and said nevermind.
If you like stand-up comedy, there’s a new movie out today that’ll really give you the feeling of what it’s like. And it has an all-star comedian cast. “The Opening Act” stars Jimmy O. Disney+ is running a new, updated content warning before several titles that contain racist character portrayals. It says, quote, “This program includes negative depictions and/or mistreatment of people or cultures. These stereotypes were wrong then and are wrong now. “Rather than remove this content, we want to acknowledge its harmful impact, learn from it and spark conversation to create a more inclusive future together. “Disney is committed to creating stories with inspirational and aspirational themes that reflect the rich diversity of the human experience around the globe.” The movies that carry this warning include:
“The Aristocats” . . . in which a very offensive Asian cat plays drums during the musical number “Everybody Wants to Be a Cat“.
“Peter Pan” . . . with its insensitive portrayal of “Indians“.
“Dumbo” . . . and its “black” crows.
And “Swiss Family Robinson” with its pirates in “yellow face” and “brown face”.
The warning also suggests that viewers visit a section of the Disney website called Stories Matter, which is dedicated to diversity and inclusion.
Lesbian teen vampires are coming to Netflix! Relax its more of a young adult vampire fiction then… ok I have 30 minutes to myself. Netflix is developing a show based on a short story called “First Kill”, by author Victoria “V. E.” Schwab. It’s about a teenage vampire named Juliette who has to make her first kill so she can take her place among her powerful vampire family. She chooses a new girl in town named Calliope, not knowing that Calliope is actually a VAMPIRE HUNTER. Oh yeah . . . and they fall in love. EMMA ROBERTS is producing the show, but there’s no word if she’ll be in it. There’s also no word when it’ll premiere.
The figures of Rudolph and Santa from the classic 1964 Christmas special “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” are hitting the auction block. They’re being sold together and they’re expected to fetch up to $250,000. Rudolph is six inches tall, and Santa is 11. They’re made of wood, wire, cloth, and leather, while Santa’s beard is yak hair. Rudolph’s nose still lights up. And even after more than 50 years, you can still move them like the original animators did. The Staten Island collector who’s parting with them says he wants something to leave to his grandchildren. Quote, “I always said I would die with the dolls. I’m just putting the family first.”
MILEY CYRUS is one of the guest stars on DOLLY PARTON’s “A Holly Dolly Christmas” album, which came out a couple of weeks ago. Miley was asked about it on “The Graham Norton Show”, You should buy TAYLOR SWIFT’s guitar. Or maybe TIM MCGRAW’s F131 Hellcat Motorcycle . . . or CLINT BLACK’s harmonica. They’re all part of a huge celebrity charity auction to benefit ACM Lifting Lives COVID-19 Response Fund. Check out the stuff up for bid at Christies.com

Bell will team up with rookie first-round pick Clyde Edwards-Helaire to serve as the counterbalance to an explosive passing offense led by reigning Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes. Bell, 28, played only 17 games with the New York Jets before they released him Tuesday, ending a tumultuous relationship between the running back and head coach Adam Gase. The former All-Pro is expected to add some punch to a Kansas City running game that lost Super Bowl hero Damien Williams due to a COVID opt-out this offseason. And Bell, it seems, will have an opportunity to get revenge on his former team soon. The Chiefs face the Jets on Nov. 1. In 2019, Bell signed a four-year, $52 million deal with New York. He sat out the entire 2018 season due to a contract dispute with the Steelers.
Occasionally, sports fans with money to burn find the opportunity to buy the ultimate piece of memorabilia — a championship ring. Rarely does that chance arrive this soon. Less than two months after the Kansas City Chiefs were awarded their Super Bowl rings, one is up for auction. Whose ring is it? Goldin Auctions announced on Thursday the sale of Mike Weber’s Super Bowl ring. Weber was a practice squad running back who didn’t sign with the Chiefs until January in the midst of their playoff run. He was not active for any of their games. The Chiefs cut Weber in May. So it’s safe to assume he doesn’t attach a lot of sentimental value to the piece. An undrafted running back out of Ohio State in 2019 who spent most of his rookie season on the Dallas Cowboys practice squad, Weber hasn’t played a down in the NFL and is not signed with a team this season. According to TMZ, the ring started with a $35,000 asking price and received a $55,000 bid by Thursday afternoon with 17 days remaining on the auction. Goldin anticipates that the ring could end up fetching six figures, according to TMZ.
In the end, that’s not a bad signing bonus for spending a few weeks on a team’s practice squad. yahooo
The Lakers re-signing Rajon Rondo – even to just a minimum-salary contract – last offseason drew skepticism. He was such a terrible fit with LeBron James. And the Lakers gave Rondo a two-year deal – with a player option! But Rondo, 12 years after he won with the Celtics, proved he could still help a championship team. He improved his on-court chemistry with LeBron. And Rondo especially stepped up in the title-clinching Game 6 of the NBA Finals. Now, it’s time to get paid. Rajon Rondo will opt out of his contract with the Los Angeles Lakers to become an unrestricted free agent. So I guess we’ll see what he’s still worth to other teams.
Speaking of a Laker opting out All-Star Anthony Davis plans to opt out of the final year of his contract and re-sign with the franchise. Davis, who joined the Lakers in the summer of 2019 was an All-NBA first-team selection this season again. Davis, 27, and LeBron James formed a strong 1-2 combination, and the Lakers want to keep that pairing together for at least a few more seasons. Davis’ decision to opt out of the final season of his deal worth $28.7 million in 2020-21 is not unexpected. He can re-sign with the Lakers at $32.7 million for next season if the salary cap remains at $109 million.
These playoff demons follow Clayton Kershaw everywhere, from his baseball home of Dodger Stadium, to a stolen-sign ambush in Houston and finally, Thursday night, to the doorstep of his hometown, where the scenery changed but the narrative did not. It is Kershaw, and it is October, and so in the sixth inning of Game 4, National League Championship Series, 1-1 tie, an innocuous infield chopper kick-started Kershaw’s latest playoff misadventure. It ended six runs later with Atlanta on the verge of an NL pennant and the Dodgers, the deepest and most talented team in the game, pondering another winter far longer than they’d prefer.
The final score was 10-2, Atlanta, and now Atlanta is one win from the World Series.
